The time has come to sell my truck in order to expand my business. This truck was originally a SEMA truck and had 38" of lift when I first got the truck. It was a trailer queen only and was never driven. After I bought the truck I totally redone the suspension and it now has 12" of lift and uses Trail Gear springs front and rear with custom hangers. It also has bilstein shocks front and rear as well as a sway bar in the front. It has hydro assist crossover steering that makes it a breeze to drive. The axles that I used are out from under a late model powerstoke and are stuffed with 4.88 yukon gears. Interior has been left totally stock. The motor is also totally stock but does have a URD intake. the truck is sitting on 38" BFG MTs and 20x10 Fuel Throttle Wheels. The only thing that isn't functional is the speedo, odometer, and cruise don't work because of the axle swap. This could be easily fixed by installing a GPS speedo/odometer. The truck also has a couple dings in the driver door and a couple in the bed side but nothing major. This truck is truely one of a kind and gets attention everywhere it goes! It could be used as a daily driver or anything else you wanted to do with it! I do have the truck for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction if it sells. Toyota recalling 615k Sienna models over rollaway risk
Thu, 26 Sep 2013Toyota has announced a recall affecting approximately 615,000 Sienna minivans due to a possible rollaway risk. All of the vehicles in question are from the 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009 model years.
In an official statement, the automaker states that the problem stems from the vehicle's shift lever assembly. "Because of the potential for damage to the shift lock solenoid installed in involved vehicles, there is a possibility that the shift lever could be moved out of the 'P' position without the driver depressing the brake pedal," Toyota said. Because of this fault, the affected Sienna models could roll away without warning, increasing the risk for a crash.
Owners will be notified via first class mail, and the affected Sienna models can be taken to Toyota dealerships to have the shift lock solenoid replaced with a new one. Have a look below for the automaker's official release.
Toyota, Lexus dominate KBB's Best Resale Value Awards
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Toyota and Lexus stormed the 2014 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards, winning a combined 18 categories including best brand and best luxury brand. This marks the third year in a row that both automakers have won the Brand and Luxury Brand resale value awards. In all, Toyota won 11 categories and Lexus won seven.
Honda made a good showing, as well, winning two segments (Accord Plug-In Hybrid and Civic Si) and putting one car on the top-10 Best Resale Value list (CR-V). Chevrolet did even better, winning two segments (with the V6 Camaro and the Corvette) and placing three cars on the top-10-overall list (again, the Camaro and Corvette, plus the Silverado 1500).
The other winners came from Jeep, Dodge, Infiniti, Subaru and Audi. To give you a clearer picture of the Toyota and Lexus domination, their 18 mentions represents more than half of the 34 awards (including the top-10-overall list).
Toyota i-Road is no less strange in the flesh
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We've seen plenty of three-wheeled creations in our day, but none quite like the Toyota i-Road Concept. The "personal mobility vehicle" offers seating for two with driver and passenger positioned in a tandem position. While that may sound more like a motorcycle than a car, the closed cockpit means riders don't need a helmet. The design also takes a page from the 2008 Peugeot HyMotion3 Concept with an articulating front suspension that allows the driver to lean through corners thanks to "Active Lean" self-balancing technology. Unlike the funky Pug, however, the i-Road is a fully electric plug-in vehicle.
While there are just five-horsepower on hand from an electric motor, the i-Road should serve up a range of around 30 miles thanks to its lithium-ion battery, and Toyota claims the cells can be topped off in three hours with a "conventional domestic power supply."
