I have had this great 04 Toyota Tacoma truck since 2010, when I first purchased it there was 47,000 miles on the truck. I bought it from a small Ma and Pop carpet business, it was used on occasions for pickups, deliveries, mostly as a work vehicle. When the truck hit around 53,000 miles the engine was making an odd sound. Took it to a Toyota dealership and they Put a BRAND NEW ENGINE in for FREE($3,500 plus!) because it was still under warrantee. This truck now has a total of 101,200 miles on the truck. This means the brand new engine only has 48,000 and will last a long long long time to come! All service work, maintenance and engine swap has been done by Toyota. I have all paperwork showing replaced engine/service. I have never had any other issues with this vehicle, runs like new and gets great gas mileage. Only costs $45 to fill up. It has a workmate cover which came with it when I bought it, has a light inside for when it's dark. I added a Kenwood CD player and has 70% plus tire tread left. Has some small dents, scrapes from use but minor cosmetics and a dent in the bumper where someone hit and ran me. Looking for a larger vehicle for my family and I. Any questions or concerns please contact me, Thanks!

Toyota confirms 2016 Tacoma for Detroit
Wed, Dec 10 2014A week on from an announcement by Toyota's Bob Carter, the Japanese marque has formally announced that the 2016 Toyota Tacoma will make its global debut next month at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. Not only that, but the company has given us a very minute (and very muddy) teaser image, showing the truck's tailgate and driver's side taillight. Like its big brother, the Tundra, the 2016 Tacoma will feature its name embossed on its tailgate. Beyond that, though, there's really not much to be gleaned from this sole teaser shot. Of course, we'll have much, much more on the next-generation Taco when it arrives in a month's time. Until then, check out Toyota's hilariously brief and to-the-point press release, available below. Tacoma. Detroit. January 12. It's on. December 10, 2014 Toyota's rolling out the all-new 2016 Tacoma at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Jan. 12.
2015 Toyota Camry targeting 'more emotional' design
Sun, 19 Jan 2014There are many ways to describe the Toyota Camry: "comfortable," "economical," "affordable," "reliable" and "dull as a bucket of mayonnaise" would all be accurate. It's this last one that the Japanese brand is seeking to change. While we aren't expecting it to suddenly sprout a high-revving V8, a rear-drive layout or razor-sharp handling, a report from Bloomberg suggests we should at least expect a more evocative design from one of the best-selling cars in the country.
The next Camry update, due for 2015, should have a "more emotional, more impactful design," says Kevin Hunter, head of Toyota's US design studio. That's according to Bloomberg, who caught up with the styling boss at this week's Detroit Auto Show. "Camry's taken some hits on styling, but it's still selling well. But we need to create better design for Camry in the future."

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015
Tue, Feb 11 2014Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
