TacomaHQ is proud offer a very clean, nice looking, and loaded 2002 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner DoubleCab TRD.  This truck was a non-smoker, and has both clean AutoCheck and CarFax vehicle history reports.  We have run this truck through our shop and everything works.  It has spent it's whole life in Maryland and doesn't have any rust.  It has a new air filter and new rear shocks.  It looks great.  It runs and drives 100%!

The exterior is in beautiful condition.  The "Lunar Mist Metallic" paint shines excellent.  The fenders, doors, roof, hood, tailgate, and bedsides are all nice and clean.  The front bumper has a small scrape and some rock chips.  The rear bumper has a handful of small touched-up marks and dings.  Other than that the truck is extremely nice.  The truck has no rust at all on the body, including the bottoms of the doors.  As you can see in the pictures there are absolutely NO leaks underneath, and entire undercarriage is in excellent shape.  The original frame was undercoated and inspected by Toyota, but there is no other spray paint or undercoating underneath.  You can see how clean the rear end is on this truck.  Even the alloy wheels are free of corrosion.  This truck has many years ahead of it.

The interior is in very nice shape.  The carpets, seats, dashboard, headliner, and glass are all free of any excessive wear or tear.  All of the electronics are functioning as they should.  This was a non-smoker truck with no smoke smells, burns, or marks anywhere.  There is also an unused cigarette lighter included.

Japan may aid carmakers facing U.S. tariff threat

Wed, Sep 12 2018

TOKYO — Japan is considering giving carmakers fiscal support including tax breaks to offset the impact from trade frictions with the United States and a sales-tax hike planned for next year, government sources told Reuters on Wednesday. Going into a second round of trade talks with the United States on Sept. 21, Japan is hoping to avert steep tariffs on its car exports and fend off U.S. demands for a bilateral free trade agreement that could put it under pressure to open politically sensitive markets, like agriculture. "If the trade talks pile pressure on Japan's car exports, we would need to consider measures to support the auto industry," a ruling party official said on condition of anonymity because of sensitivity of the matter. The auto industry accounts for about 20 percent of Japan's overall output and around 60-70 percent of the country's trade surplus with the United States, making it vulnerable to U.S. action against Japanese exports. Japan's biggest automakers and components suppliers fear they could take a significant hit if Washington follows through on proposals to hike tariffs on autos and auto parts to 25 percent. Policymakers also worry that an increase in the sales tax from 8 percent to 10 percent planned for October 2019, could cause a slump in sales of big-ticket items such as cars and home. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has twice postponed the tax hike after the last increase from 5 percent in 2014 dealt a blow to private consumption, which accounts for about 60 percent of the economy. To prevent a pullback in demand after the tax hike, the government may consider large fiscal spending later when it draws up its budget for next year, government sources said. "One option may be to greatly reduce or abolish the automobile purchase tax," one of the government sources said. The government is also considering cuts in the automobile tax and automobile weight tax to help car buyers, the source added. Toyota's Texas move could boost state's economy by $7.2B in 10 years

Thu, 15 May 2014

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and apparently that includes the Toyota's effect on the economy. The giant Japanese automaker's new headquarters in Plano, TX, will add an estimated $7.2 billion to the state over the next 10 years, according to a new study commissioned by the city and cited by Bloomberg.
The benefits appear to be an absolute steal compared to the direct incentives that Plano and the state are giving Toyota. The report finds that by the time the automaker's campus is complete in 2018, it could have 3,650 full-time workers there at an average salary of $104,000. The city has prepared $6.75 million in grants, plus property tax discounts, according to Bloomberg. In addition to that, the state is offering the business $40 million in incentives from its Texas Enterprise Fund. This is still a fraction of what Toyota is estimated to bring in.
Toyota announced in April that it would move its US operations to Plano after being headquartered in California since 1957. The move affects thousands of employees from the sales and engineering divisions. The first workers will arrive there this fall, but Toyota will eventually have a whole campus in Plano by late 2017. The move is expected to save it huge amounts in taxation and offer employees a lower cost of living. Toyota North America CEO Jim Lentz also says that the Texas location puts the headquarters closer to more of the business' factories in the south. Texas certainly appears to be showing it some southern hospitality.
