I'm the third owner of this truck, which has spent all of its life in California. All of its owners, including myself, took great care of the engine and transmission.

The exterior shows some signs of wear. For example, there's sun damage to the clear coat on the hood and roof; some of the body panels have dings, but no dents. The interior is in good condition. If I were to keep this truck, however, I'd consider replacing the carpet. It looks good after vacuuming, but has some stains from previous owners.

It runs exactly as it should. The ride is beautiful, especially after I installed Bilstein struts and shocks roughly 2,000 miles ago, which are better than the originals. The engine sounds perfect, and never misses a beat. It has a K&N air filter that lets the engine breath freely. The transmission, which I had serviced fewer than 2,000 miles ago, shifts perfectly. I also replaced the front disc pads, so the brakes are great. There's an Access Rollup tonneau cover over the bed.

I just replaced the battery with an OPTIMA 8020-164 35 REDTOP. I also recently replaced both oxygen sensors and the front catalytic converter. This truck is due for a new set of tires. They still have decent tread, but the rubber's getting old.

2014 Toyota Corolla shows just enough to keep us interested

To date, the best idea we have of what the 2014 Toyota Corolla will look like is the shape and styling of the Furia Concept from this year's Detroit Auto Show. Obviously the compact car will turn down the wick a fair bit from that orange machine, and now we have one more scintilla of an idea of what the final product will look like.
Published today on Toyota's official Facebook page, the image above clearly shows the rear quarter of the 2014 Corolla S. Though the low angle is pretty wonky, we can make out that the shape of the taillight cluster is very similar to that of the Furia, albeit without the same LED treatment, A hint of a trunk-lid spoiler is also in evidence, and also follows the Furia's lead.
Toyota points out that the new Corolla will be shown in earnest on June 6. Expect to see the full version of the car by that date at the latest - online leaks have a tendancy to speed these things up.

Subaru, Toyota refute reports of BRZ, 86 demise

After news broke of an anticipated Japanese report telling that the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ twins were not long for this world, both carmakers have denied the cars' successors have been canceled. Carscoops reports that both Toyota and Subaru have stated they are developing next-generation cars. As a Subaru USA spokesman told Carscoops: "We do not endorse this report coming from Japan's Best Car. ... We are moving ahead with a next-generation Subaru BRZ, but have no further details at this time." The website also reported a similar statement from Toyota. With the models getting long in the tooth and no test mules having been spied, doubts are not unwarranted — remember just how long Toyota teased the fifth generation Supra before its 2019 debut. More information is not yet available, or whether the two brands will still collaborate to bring the new-generation coupes to the market, but for Toyobaru fans this might be grounds to breathe a sigh of relief. That would also mean, that if the hinted MR-2 revival is based on solid ground, there will be a full "Three Brothers" Toyota sports car portfolio for sale in the next decade. With the Supra offered also as a four-cylinder in Japan, it will be interesting to see if Toyota will retain the 86's current, slight power advantage over the Supra's 197-horsepower variant or respect the status of the bigger brother.
