Clean And Clear on 2040-cars
Meridian, Idaho, United States
Hello,
I'm the 3rd owner of this Supra. It was originally an Arizona car. I will miss this car and it's a joy to drive if you know anything about cars from that area and appreciate the rawness they delivered back then and still do today. Almost every time I'm driving it I get people saying things like; nice car, that and or also asking me if it is for sale. So, be prepared for that once you own this car because it will happen.
I'm selling it because I no longer have the passion to keep up with it and will not have the room soon as I will be going back to my Honda tuner roots. This Supra deserves a good home with someone who knows about the car and can appreciate it for what it is.
Clean and clear title. Included with the sale is a spare and working R154 transmission. Spare head and all internals and many other various parts as well, to many to list. Also included are the factory dealer diagrams and maintenance manuals, wiring, engine and body.
No body panel or structural rust. Original paint with fading clear coat on the hood and roof. Freshly painted front and rear bumper covers. All emblems in place and it has the JDM rear tail lights.
The bottom end, top end and head all got a rebuilt some years back and now have around 53,000 miles on them. A metal head gasket was also used in the refresh. Many suspension components also were replaced at the time.
The car shifts well without issues, clutch is strong too as it was also replaced during the refresh. The TEMS system is in working order too. The heat works well and the AC needs recharged. Comes with a full size spare tire too.
The car has a full 3'' Turbo back exhaust, it sounds great giving the car a nice deep tone. A factory replacement turbo also was added into the refresh.
There are less than 500 miles on the new BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S Plus BW tires. New battery, new TPS, new ignitor, new fuel pump and new fuel filter. I also had the fuel tank drained and cleaned out when replacing the pump and filter. I had the work done a month ago.
The car is sitting on Eibach lowering springs. Over the past few years I have had a lot of things maintained and replaced at a local shop here in Meridian. All the documentation will be provided in the sale. I have always kept up with the oil changes and a month ago ALL fluids in the car were replaced too.
Some of the work done to the car at the time of the refresh mentioned above are as follows:
-Engine bored .020 over, crank was done .010 - .010, the rotating assembly was balanced and a crank scraper was added.
-Head was lightly ported, metal head gasket, APR head studs.
-Rebuilt power steering pump, new starter.
-New mass flow air sensor, K&N FIPK air filter.
-New Clutch, U-joints and carrier bearing.
-Front suspension includes new ball joints and urethane bushings.
-All electronic struts were replaced new as well. They are no longer sold or available in the states. Although, I have heard that they can be rebuilt if sent to the manufacturer.
-New stainless steel break lines front and back as well as all rotors replaced. Break pads have recently been replaced. Also included is a spare set of rear pads.
-Steering wheel updated to the 89+
The car also has an aftermarket head unit, amplifiers and updated speakers, although I rarely power it on because the car sounds much better making its own music.
Please feel free to reach out with any question. No test drives, if you're serious I can take you out for a ride. I will do so by way of a cold start for you. Thanks for looking.

2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, Volvos earn IIHS Top Safety Pick rating
Tue, Oct 2 2018It's time for another round-up of recent IIHS crash tested cars. The trio this time include the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, 2019 Volvo XC90 and 2018 Volvo S90. All three have earned one of the highest ratings from the IIHS, the Top Safety Pick. And all three continue a trend of very safe cars having slightly below-par headlights, preventing them from earning the highest Top Safety Pick+ rating. Of these three cars, the Corolla Hatchback has the most impressive scores. It earned the highest "Good" rating in every single crash test, including the difficult small-overlap passenger-side collision. It also received the top score for access to LATCH anchors for child seats. The standard forward collision prevention technology also brought home the best score possible, stopping the car before a crash at speeds up to 25 mph. The headlights themselves weren't particularly bad either, earning the second-highest score of "Acceptable" with both the standard and optional LED headlights. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Both Volvos shared similar scores to the Corolla Hatchback, with "Good" ratings for all crash tests they participated in, and top rank for their standard forward collision technology. Both vehicles were not tested for the passenger-side small overlap collision, so there is no score in that area. Both also received the "Acceptable" rating for LATCH anchor access. In the headlight department, the XC90 earned "Acceptable" scores for both of its available headlights, and the S90 received an "Acceptable" for its optional lights, while the standard ones were rated as "Marginal." Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

The 11 best scenes from the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed
Tue, Jun 30 2015Over the last three days, the Goodwood Estate has played home to the eponymous Festival of Speed. Thrown by the biggest gearhead in the British aristocracy – Charles Gordon-Lennox, the Earl of March and Kinrara – the Festival of Speed is essentially a tremendous, gasoline-fuelled party, complete with a very large lawn sculpture, that features the world's hottest, weirdest, fastest, and loudest race, production, and historic models. While there are quite literally dozens and dozens of videos from the event – not to mention the full-day replays (of which only day one is available, at present) – we've sifted through them to pluck away the very best. There's stuff from the official Goodwood YouTube channel, as well as several videos from automakers and other third-party channels, and it's all available below. 2015 Ford Mustang GT350R Looks Barely Controllable If you thought the highest-performance Ford Mustang would somehow get more tractable or civilized once it moved to an independent rear suspension, this video shows you have nothing to worry about. Watch as an unnamed driver wrestles the new Shelby GT350R and its flat-plane, 5.2-liter V8 up the hillclimb circuit. Even with the new suspension and sticky tires, this Mustang wants to go any direction but straight, especially following its launch. 2016 Ford Focus RS, Is Very Loud, Blue Ken Block makes his first appearance on our list. Before he steps into his Hoonicorn Mustang, though, the Gymkhana expert tackled the hill in the all-new Focus RS. The vicious bellow of the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder is the star of this commentary-free video, although the gorgeous Nitrous Blue paint job is a nice accompaniment, as well. 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn Runs Hill, Nearly Kills Lord March Mr. Block's two runs behind the wheel of the Hoonicorn were, unsurprisingly, very eventful. While one attempt goes off without a hitch, seeing the American rally driver slip and slide his way to the top of the hill while taking a short break for a donut, the other is slightly more dramatic. Block, along with Lord March in the passenger seat, carries a bit too aggressive an angle into a turn and nearly puts the NASCAR-powered Mustang into the hay bales. Check out the first video above, and the second one below. Kimi Raikkonen Makes Us Miss F1's V8 Era The latest Formula One cars have been maligned for the lackluster noise produced by the new 1.6-liter, turbocharged V6.
