I have decided to part ways with my Supra to start a new project. I have always been a DSM guy at heart, and I am getting the AWD itch again. So I will be selling my Supra to fund this new project. I in no way "have" to sell the car, but it would make the new project much easier to fund.

The car is a 1991 Turbo Targa 5-speed White Package purchased about 4 years ago from the original owner at 116k. I had suffered from a bhg and the engine was completely disassembled and out of the car. I purchased the car and proceeded to build it with my goal of 500+whp. I began by rebuilding the head, machining the block .020 over, polishing the crank, and built it using forged internals to handle that power with no issues. I left the stock turbo on it for a 4-5k mile break in period, before bolting on the 6262, 560's, and MAF-T Pro (unturned).

Body:
Very straight body, small dent on drivers front fender, rear bumper paint coming off on top, couple of door dings, all lights/lenses in good shape, all glass in good shape, front lower lip cracked, new OEM targa seals

Interior:
All carpet, door panels, dash and headliner in great shape, seats need recovering, all accessories work (power seats, power windows, power mirrors, auto climate control, etc), cold A/C

Engine:
Probe Forged Pistons, Eagle H-Beam Rods, Polished Crankshaft, Clevite bearings, all ARP hardware (head, rod, main bolts), Cometic MLS Head gasket, new OEM Toyota Oil Pump, all new Timing Elements (belt, tensioner, idler, spring, water pump), new oil pump drive shaft and bearings, Driftmotion EGR block-off, Urethane motor mounts

Power:
Precision Billet CEA 6262 Bolt-on turbo, EVO 560cc injectors, ETD full 3" turbo-back exhaust (elbow eliminator), ETD FMIC and piping, Walbro 255lph pump, upgraded fuel bypass line, Aeromotive AFPR, new OEM fuel filter, HKS SSQV blow-off valve

Transmission/Drivetrain:
Spec Stage 3 Clutch, Beech Performance Short Throw Shifter, Driveshaft Shop 1 piece steel driveshaft

Electronics:
Maf-T Pro (timing and boost control harnesses included but not installed) AEM UEGO wideband, Autometer Boost and Oil Pressure Gauge, Sony headunit

Suspension/Wheels:
KYB struts, H&R springs, Stern ST-& Staggered 18"wheels (245f/275r), TEMS deleted but have actuators still, OE white 5-spoke wheels included

Needs:
The car has not been tuned, but is safe to drive. It has a bog at closed-open loop change over due to this (between 3k-3.3krpm) but pulls hard beyond this point (possibly needs Maf-T software update from research). There is noise coming from the clutch area when releasing clutch and getting going in first gear (believed to be pilot bearing) which does not affect drivability in any way but will need attention eventually.

As previously stated the car is built for 500+whp and has everything needed to reach this with a good tune. Buyer will not be disappointed! Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Average transaction prices climb to a record $36,270 in January

Sat, Feb 3 2018

The automotive sector made a hash of the numbers last month, a mess of pluses and minuses clogging the transaction-price charts according to Kelley Blue Book. The overall industry rose one percent, even though buyers bought fewer cars and light vehicles in January 2018 vs 2017 using the selling-day adjusted rate. Due to January transaction prices rising to $36,270, a record for January, the value of new vehicles sold climbed more than $1 billion compared to January 2017. KBB's transaction prices don't include customer incentives, which changes the complexion slightly; average incentive spending rose to just over ten percent. The average transaction price in December 2017 was $36,756, so January dropped a bit - nothing unexpected, with the month annually blamed for "January doldrums." More revealing is the fact that the average transaction price in January 2017 was $34,910. This year's plumped-up figure came courtesy of the continued shift to crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks, which shouldn't surprise anyone who's read an automotive blog in the past 20 years. That category comprised nearly 70 percent of new vehicle sales for the month. Some manufacturers profited more than others, though. Fiat Chrysler managed 12.8 percent fewer sales in January compared year-on-year, but the company's vehicles sold for $1,300 more. The Ford brand suffered a 6.3-percent dip in sales, but brand transaction prices increased $2,000, while a Lincoln sold for $8,700 more on average. General Motors sold more cars and sold them for more money; overall GM transaction prices rose four percent, or $1,270, while a GMC traded hands for seven-percent more than in January 2017 and a Cadillac got $2,300 more on average. Of KBB's listed automakers, the Volkswagen Group got the most of out its customers, transaction prices rising at the German automaker by 5.6 percent to $42,243 in January 2018 compared to a year earlier. American Honda followed with a 4.3-percent increase to $28,991, GM in third at 4.1 percent to $40,313. Find your next car at Autoblog using our new and used car listings or the Car Finder tool. Broken out by segment, minivans rocked the table, transaction prices leaping by 7.9 percent to $35,380 compared to January a year earlier. Luxury cars boasted the next-highest rise, at 3.6 percent to $58,533.

2015 Toyota Camry priced at $22,970*, Hybrid at $26,790*

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

We last saw the heavily revised 2015 Toyota Camry at the New York Auto Show earlier this year. Now, it's finally time for the best-selling car in the US to hit the roads in late September, and Toyota is announcing how much the updated model actually costs.
The basic Camry LE rings up for $22,970 (*not including a $825 delivery, processing and handling fee). That's up slightly from the base price of $22,425 for the 2014.5 LE, but the updated sedan has some 2,000 new parts, while also being 1.8 inches longer and boasting a 0.4-inch wider track. The rest of the trim levels include the SE for $23,840, sporty new XSE for $26,150 and XLE at $26,150. Opting for the V6 is the XSE and XLE bumps pricing to $31,370.
Separately, the Camry Hybrid gets its own LE, SE and XLE trims. The LE starts at $26,790 with a standard, power driver's seat and 4.2-inch information display. The SE for $27,995 gets an improved interior and the XLE at $29,980 has leather, heated front seats, LED running lights and more.

2016 Toyota Tacoma fears no canyon in Detroit

Tue, Jan 13 2015

It took a lot for it to finally happen, but with the 2015 GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado posing a clear and present danger to its near monopoly in the mid-size pickup market, Toyota finally introduced a new version of its Tacoma. Introduced at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, the long-serving Taco has been refit, ditching its old, thirsty and uncouth 4.0-liter V6 with a Toyota's smooth-revving and powerful 3.5-liter, naturally aspirated six pot. Output figures haven't been published, but considering the V6 churns out around 270 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque in vehicles like the Toyota Camry and Highlander, we should expect similar numbers in the 3.5's first truck application. Joining the six-pot will be the previous truck's 2.7-liter four-cylinder. Beyond the powertrain tweaks, Toyota has delivered a significantly updated aesthetic that borrows elements of the 4Runner with newer design touches. A strong, prominent grille and muscular fender arches are fitting touches, while the new wheel design, one of our, featured on the show Tacoma deliver some added visual impact. The cabin, meanwhile, could best be thought of as that of a baby Tundra, sporting a similar layout and, when properly equipped, materials and touches that wouldn't look out of place on its big brother, the Tundra. Take a look at our full crop of live shots, available up top.
