THIS IS FOR A NICE 1987 TOYOTA SUPRA , IT HAS THE TARGA TOP , AM FM CD , IT HAS PW ,AND CC AND AC , HOWEVER THE AC DOES NEED TO BE RECHARGED AND THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW QUITE WORKING BUT I DO HAVE ANOTHER MOTOR FOR IT . I PUT NEW FRONT BRAKES ON THE CAR , THE CAR IS VERY DEPENDABLE , STARTS RIGHT UP AND GOES , I WOULD TAKE IT ACROSS COUNTRY . IT HAS POWER SEAT ON DRIVERS SIDE . ALL THE LITES WORK AS THEY SHOULD , THE ONLY REAL PROBLEM IS THE PASSENGER WINDOW. AS FAR AS THE BODY GOES ITS IN VERY NICE CONDITION FOR A 1987 , IT HAS A FEW LITTLE NICKS AND THE PAINT CHIPPED OFF ON THE TARGA TOP IN 1 PLACE BUT COULD EASILY BE FIXED . IT HAS NEWER TIRES ON THE FRONT AND THE REAR ARE STILL PRETTY GOOD , THE INTERIOR HAS A FEW SMALL TEARS BUT ITS ALSO INGREAT CONDITION. I PUT THE WHITE FACE GAUGES IN IT WITH THE REV GLO THEY LOOK AWESOME .I INSTALLED THE REAR SPOILER AND I PAINTED THE RIMS THEY LOOK GOOD IN BLACK .

2015 Toyota Prius C is still colorful, still gets 53 mpg
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Few vehicles can match the affordable fuel economy of the $19,000, 53-mile-per-gallon Toyota Prius C, and that fact isn't likely to change for 2015, as the Japanese company has issued a moderate refresh of its sub-compact hybrid.
As mid-cycle refreshes go, this is a pretty standard affair, with a larger grille and tweaked LED headlights at the front of the Prius C, and more expressive taillights at the back. Toyota made some minor changes in the cabin, updating materials throughout, but not fiddling too much with the overall level of equipment.
Aside from those modest changes, this is the same fuel-efficient five-door, retaining its 1.5-liter, 73-horsepower, 82-pound-foot four-cylinder, while an electric motor tosses in an extra 26 ponies, for a total system output of 99 horsepower. Along with the 53-mpg highway rating, the C will return 46 mpg in the city.
Toyota to buck engine downsizing trend, may go larger and turbo-free
Mon, 14 Oct 2013Turbocharging isn't really Toyota's specialty, and the Japanese automaker isn't being shy about acknowledging it. Koei Saga, a senior managing officer in charge of drivetrain research and development, says that eschewing turbos and increasing displacement of engines using the Atkinson cycle can produce better power gains without sacrificing fuel economy, Automotive News reports.
Toyota is investing heavily in larger-displacement Atkinson-cycle engines in addition to turbocharged engines, but Saga doesn't think the automaker will use turbocharging across many product lines. He apparently remains unconvinced that the technology "makes the world better."
In Toyota's eyes then, Atkinson cycle engines do make the world better, and here's how. Their pistons complete four processes - intake, compression, power and exhaust - in one revolution of the crankshaft, and the power stroke is longer than the compression stroke. Traditional Otto cycle engines require two crankshaft revolutions to accomplish those same four operations and have equal-length compression and power strokes. Atkinson cycle engines are more efficient, but less power dense, though increasing displacement can offset that shortfall.
Why Toyota Camry's Korea Car of the Year win is a big-time upset
Tue, 26 Feb 2013The 2013 Toyota Camry is officially the car of the year in Korea. The country's motoring press graced the Japanese sedan with the honor for the first time, officially marking a shift in prevailing Korean attitudes toward Japan and its products. According to industry analysts, buyers in the country are no longer simply choosing their purchases based on whether or not they're made in South Korea, but rather based on quality and personal choice. That's a big jump from a few years ago, when buyers viewed their purchases through a patriotic lens.
The Camry managed to edge out a total of 44 other cars, including hardware from both Hyundai and Kia, to become the first foreign vehicle to take home the Korea Automobile Journalist Association's Car of the Year award. As The Detroit News points out, just 10 years ago, domestic manufacturers held some 99 percent of the Korean car market. But a change in trade regulations has opened up the country considerably, and buyers now have access to a wide range of products from around the globe. As a result, Hyundai and Kia have countered by cutting prices in an attempt to keep their grip on the market.
