You are bidding on a 1999 Toyota Camry Solara SE. It has 214K miles. The 4-cylinder motor is very strong - still with high mpgs. There is no smoking or oil leaks of any kind. The timing belt was replaced at 140k miles. The oil has also just been replaced. The transmission shifts through all gears as it should. The car is fully loaded with all available options - all function properly - for the exception of the moonroof. The motor functions but the roof will not move. Additionally, the SRS sensor needs to be reset as it flashes intermittently. The motor is operating but the roof will not retract. The paint is in excellent condition - with NO nicks or scratches anywhere on the car. It does have 2 small dings - one on the driver's front quarter panel and one one the passenger rear left quarter panel (pictured.) They do not take away from the overall appearance of the vehicle. This is a very sharp car. The interior is in great condition - with the only signs of wear shown on the driver's seat. The car was owned by a non-smoker. There is no staining or carpet wear of any kind. The tires are in good condition with about 75% tread left. The car drives really well.
This vehicle is being offered for sale “AS-IS” because of year and miles only. If you are new to Ebay or if you have fewer than 4 transactions, please contact me prior to bidding for approval to bid or I will cancel your bid immediately. There is a $125 documentation fee in addition to the final selling price. DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HOURS AFTER AUCTION END. As with any used car, there may be things to address that have been overlooked in my assessment, but I have done my best to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible. Once purchased, this car can be driven anywhere without issue. Please bid with confidence and good luck.

Yes, a Ferrari-swapped Toyota can do donuts around a Ferrari
Tue, Nov 1 2016Ryan Tuerck recently started his Ferrari-powered Toyota GT86 for the first time, and now the pro drifter is back for a donut session in the custom-built coupe. The build included stuffing the F136 V8 from a Ferrari 458 into the GT86, so having the JDM supercar do smoky donuts around the Italian supercar just makes sense. We first heard of Tuerck and Gumout's radical plan to build a competition-only GT86 with the beating heart out of a 458 in July. Since then, Donut Media has put out updates on the vehicle as the build has progressed, ranging from the difficulties of cramming the taller and longer V8 into the Toyota to firing the beast up for the first time. We like what we see – and hear – and you can bet Tuerck's new GT86 will be starring in numerous drifting videos soon. New drifting world record set in Toyota GT86
Wed, 30 Jul 2014We have entered a drifting arms race. Last year, BMW smashed the Guinness World Record for the longest drift by hanging the tail out for 51.3 miles around a wet skid pad in an M5 at the BMW Performance Driving School in South Carolina. That beat the previous milestone of nearly seven miles. Now, Bimmer's record is up in smoke as well and is in the possession of a Toyota.
German driver Harald Müller pummeled the old record to drift for 89.55 miles around a 0.15-mile (235.5-meter) course in Samsun, Turkey, in a Toyota GT86 (or Scion FR-S as it's known in the US). According to the Guinness World Records website, it took him 612 laps and 2 hours, 25 minutes and 18 seconds to manage the achievement. Sit back to watch a few minutes of the German's two and a half hours behind the wheel with the tail out.
Is your new-car warranty good at the race track?
Mon, Feb 27 2017We've all heard the horror stories. Your buddy knows a girl that was dating a guy whose best friend's brother once broke his brand-new, recently purchased performance car while making runs at a drag strip or laps at a track day, and the manufacturer wouldn't cover the repair under warranty. True story? Urban legend? Complete crap? Yes, no, maybe. One thing's for sure: Automotive warranties have always come with caveats. In 1908, an ad in the Trenton Evening Times clearly stated: "All Ford Cars Guaranteed for One Year." Although it changed over time, by 1925 the Ford New Car Guarantee only covered 90 days on material and 30 days on labor, and it clearly stated that that there was "No guarantee whatever on Fan Belts, Glass, Bulbs, Wiring, Transmission, Bands, Hose Connections, Commutator Shells, Rollers, Spark Plugs or Gaskets." Whether or not Ol' Henry would pay to fix your Model T if you broke it shaving a tenth off your lap time at the local board track seems to be lost to history. We're guessing no. But what about today? Do new-car warranties in 2017 cover cars when they are driven on race tracks? We researched the warranties of 14 auto brands to find out, and the answer is yes, no, maybe, depending on the brand, in some cases the model, and whether or not your car is modified from stock. Acura has been out of the high-performance car game for a number of years, but jumps back into the party in 2017 with its hybrid-powered $173,000 NSX supercar. And Acura's warranty, as well as Honda's, clearly states that it does not cover "the use of the vehicle in competition or racing events." View 33 Photos So we asked Sage Marie, Senior Manager of Public Relations for Honda and Acura. "If the car is stock, the warranty covers it on a track just as it does on the street. No question," he told us. "However, if the car is modified, say with slick tires or other components that would put higher stresses on the vehicle's parts and systems, then we would have to investigate the circumstances further." Marie went on to say the same would be true for any Acura model or Honda vehicle, including the new 2017 Honda Civic Si. This became a common theme. Chevrolet actually started this practice with the fifth-generation Camaro on the high-performance ZL1 and Z/28 models.
