STEREO/CD PLAYER WORKS GREAT GOOD SPARE (LAST TIME I CHECKED) HAS JACK SELLING REASON(S): I HAVE HAD THIS PICKUP SINCE FEB OR MARCH OF 2011. It had 217,000 miles when i got it. For around or under $2000.00 I was told I could get it fixed again and it would probably last another 10-25 years or 250,000 miles, but with 3 kids I figured it's time I get a new vehicle with working air, bluetooth, mp3, and a warranty. I have not bought a new vehicle since 1988, so maybe it's time. I really hate to part with this pickup. She is a winner and I love a stick-shift. I called her "Tinkerbell" cuz she is the smallest of pickups with the best gas mileage available to this day. This would be great for a mechanic or collector/mechanic who has no time limits on getting her running. I will try to update the pics by Tuesday, 03/11/2014 including motor pics to view. Please feel free to ASK ANYTHING!! ? ? ? FEEDBACK WILL GLADLY AND QUICKLY BE RETURNED AFTER IT IS RECEIVED, THANKS. PAYMENT IS EXPECTED ACCORDING TO DECLARED GUIDELINES AND IF NOT FOLLOWED, THE VEHICLE WILL BE RE-LISTED AS THE PAYMENT OPPORTUNITY EXPIRATION OCCURS, THANKS AGAIN. On Mar-09-14 at 19:56:55 PDT, seller added the following information: After reviewing the records pertaining to the odometer rollback that appears to have occurred in 2009 on this vehicle, the correct odometer reading would be approx 301,000. This is far too many miles to be covered on the buy back protection plan through Ebay, thanks. Marty Petty |

Australia may offer money to keep Toyota making cars there
Tue, 04 Jun 2013In the wake of last month's announcement that Ford will cease automotive and engine production in Australia after 2016, many are wondering what the country's other automakers will do. Holden has already confirmed it will stay the course despite Ford's exit.
Much of the GM subsidiary's reason for sticking around has to do with a deal made last year between Holden and the Australian government. In order to secure a GM investment of $1 billion and a commitment to keep manufacturing in Australia through 2022, the government threw in an extra $215 million. According to Australia's Minister for Innovation and Industry, Greg Combet, the government is now in talks with Toyota for a similar deal.
Toyota operates one plant in Australia, the Altona manufacturing and engine plant in Victoria. The facility produces the Camry, Camry Hybrid and Australasia-only Aurion for both the local market and export. The report from GoAuto indicates that negotiations with the Australian government would include adding production of a third, all-new model at Altona, possibly the new RAV4, because it shares many parts with the Camry.

Tue, 30 Jul 2013Raising A White Flag To The Competition
We all benefit from highly competitive battles. In the automotive sector, few campaigns are so closely fought as the decades-long struggle for supremacy in the fullsize half-ton pickup truck segment. The Ford F-150 has dominated for ages, but Chevrolet, Ram and GMC have been closing the gap with freshly redesigned trucks that are rocking the industry.
Today's half-ton trucks are better than they've ever been, and we have fierce competition to thank for that.
Toyota ready to get dirty with new TRD Pro Series
Thu, 06 Feb 2014To the general public, Toyota is often thought of as a maker of bland but dependable cars, crossovers and SUVs that get their owners and a whole herd of whatever from Point A to Point B. Generally speaking, they're fuel efficient, comfortable and affordable. What the general public may not realize, however, is that Toyota enjoys a very strong history of going off road, too. The legendary Land Cruiser arguably established the trend, helping explore remote parts of the globe, while various guerilla warfare outfits and world military branches have unwittingly joined up with the boys from Top Gear to help cement the Hilux pickup's reputation for invincible performance. Now, though, Toyota is launching a new line of trucks and SUVs in the US that are even more explicitly targeted at hitting the trails. Meet the TRD Pro Series.
Featuring the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra, each Pro Series vehicle features TRD-tuned springs with Bilstein shocks, a TRD front skid plate, a TRD shifter, black wheels, branded floor mats and a "TOYOTA" grille badge, the latter of which harkens back to classic models. TRD Pro Series vehicles will be offered in the new Inferno paint color shown above, as well as Black and Super White.
The Tundra benefits from softer TRD springs that also provide a two-inch lift and a better ride in the rough, while the truck itself rides on 18-inch wheels with Michelin ORP tires. Each truck gains an extra two inches of wheel travel in front and 1.25 inches in back, while a TRD dual exhaust should generate a nicer sound than the trucks's standard V8 engine. Finally, a unique interior with red contrast stitching freshen up the cabin. We wouldn't go so far as to call this a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor fighter - far from it, in fact - but it's a bit more off-road oriented than your average pickup.
