Up for sale is a loaded, fuel efficient, and nice looking 2007 Toyota Matrix XR. There has only been 1 Female-Owner since brand new in 2007. It was just traded into a Honda dealership on a new Accord, and we were able to purchase it right from them. It has both clean Carfax and Autocheck Vehicle History Reports. The car runs, looks, and drives great.

The exterior is in very nice shape. The original "Silver Streak Metallic" paint shines beautifully. There aren't any dents or dings to be seen on the exterior. There aren't any unsightly scratches either. The front bumper has a small mark in it that can be seen in pictures, and the hood and bumper have some rock chips.

The interior is in very nice shape. The seats, carpets, dashboard, headliner, and glass are all clean, with only slight wear here or there. There aren't any smoke smells, burns, or marks inside. All of the electronics are functioning properly.

This Matrix runs and drives perfect as you would expect. Everything works as it should. The 1.8L 4-Cylinder engine starts instantly with no smoke and runs great. The transmission shifts nice and smooth, and the clutch grabs strong. The car goes straight down the road with no shakes, rattles, or pulls. The brakes stop great with no pulsations as well.

Toyota's Lentz says fuel cells are the future, not EVs

Toyota is not bullish on EVs. That comes from the company's North American CEO, Jim Lentz, who said the company will focus not on electrification, but on continued hybridization with a long-term focus on hydrogen fuel cells.
Lentz questioned the long-range ability of EVs, saying that Toyota feels "there are better alternatives, such as hybrids and plug-in hybrids, and tomorrow with fuel cells." Lentz spoke about Toyota's focus on hydrogen following Forbes Brainstorm Green conference and barely a week after a battery deal between Tesla and Toyota ended, according to Automotive News.
That deal provided for 2,500 battery packs for the Rav4 EV. While valuable to Toyota, the deal "was never about open-ended volume," Lentz said. "It was time to either continue or stop. My personal feeling was that I would rather invest my dollars in fuel cell development than in another 2,500 EVs."

Not only are commercial-grade haulers getting more green love lately, they're getting more different kinds of green love. The 2016 Green Truck of the Year, the second time the award has been handed out, is being decided by judges from Green Car Journal and the San Antonio Auto & Truck Show. This year the award is joined by the new 2016 Commercial Green Car of the Year, which crowns one of the little vans increasingly used by small business as cargo and delivery vehicles. The Green Truck of the Year finalists are the Chevrolet Colorado Duramax (pictured), Ford F-150, GMC Canyon Duramax, Nissan Titan XD, and Toyota Tacoma. The first three of those were on last year's list, but since they are completely new or upgraded for 2016 - Ford with its all-aluminum body, the General Motors twins with the new diesel Duramax engine - they qualify for entry again.
