04 Toyota Matrix Xr Meticulously Maintained Gas Saver Tow Hitch New Tires Sunro on 2040-cars
West Orange, New Jersey, United States
For Sale: 2004 Toyota Matrix XR, Automatic Transmission, Meticulously Maintained 179,000 miles loaded with features: Keyless Entry, Fog Lights, Factory Ground effects package, aluminum alloy wheels, air condition, factory in dash 6 cd changer stereo, power windows door locks mirrors, cruise control, full instrument cluster with tachometer, power glass sunroof w/ privacy shade, rear tinted windows, professionally installed U-Haul Tow hitch (trailer power adapter installed), factory embroidered front and rear floor mats (I bought them new from the dealer when I got the car), rear electric defroster and wiper, and has a valid NJ Inspection sticker that expires in 08/2016. I bought this car in May 2011 from the third owner who got it from Toyota World of Lakewood, NJ. The car had about 88,000 miles on it. My job had me commuting about 80 miles round trip, sometimes six or seven days a week. I bought the car because it was great on gas, it was a Toyota that would last forever, front wheel drive (great for snow), and the maintenance on the car is simple. It has a timing CHAIN not a BELT thus never needs that expensive tune up most imports require. The car does not have a distributor cap or rotor, ignition wires and does not even have a fuel filter that requires changing. The car does have coil packs and a tune up consisted of an air filter and four spark plugs that can be inexpensively bought at any local auto parts store. The vehicle was meticulously maintained and I have paperwork to prove it. The oil was always changed at Valvoline instant oil change. I always used the oil for higher mileage cars as it is better for the car and protects the engine seals etc. I put so many highway miles on the car I normally ran the oil longer than 3,000 miles. The car qualifies for the Valvoline 250,000 mile engine warranty. I also had the air conditioning, transmission, fan belt, etc. serviced there. I bought the rear wiper blade from the Toyota dealer as it was a unique size. When I got the car I wanted to ensure the air conditioning was in good working order for the hot summer so I had Valvoline service it. They fully remove the entire amount of refrigerant from the system, ensure it has a good vacuum without any leaks, and then refills it with fresh refrigerant. They just confirmed for it this week that it is still functioning correctly and is ice cold like it should be. I also had the transmission fluid changed about once a year as I was doing a lot of highway miles for work. I flushed the coolant once a year and refilled it with pre diluted 50/50 Prestone antifreeze. I was lucky as the car had new brakes when I got the car and I had done the fronts as needed. I also put in four new Iridium tipped plugs as recommended by the manufacturer at 120,000 miles. I did the air filters as needed once or twice a year. I recently also bought four brand new Goodyear Eagle GSA tires and had them all high speed balanced. The car is pre owned and for its age I think it is in great shape. The interior has no tears, stains, and was always owned by pet and smoke free owners. It has normal wear that goes along with the age. I will list the condition I can best, but please look at the high resolution pictures to see the exact condition. The front nose (front air dam, bumper and hood) has the typical tiny love bug and tiny rock chips common with most cars. The rear bumper has marks from prior owners putting stuff in and out of the back incorrectly. The prior owner had a wheel lock break on one of the wheel lugs and it needed to be ground off. The outside of the wheel is fine, however inside where the lug nut goes was disturbed when the broken lock was removed. The owner bought four new Toyota lug nuts and decided the wheel locks were no longer needed after that time consuming incident. I agreed with that decision and continued to run it as he did. The driver's side rear passenger door jamb had two chips on the inside. The front windshield has a chip all the way on the passenger side (approximately three inches from the side rubber molding.) The interior rear seats near the door jamb, there is a small panel that has some marks. The Matrix is a great design as I have been able to fit so much in this compact car. The passenger seat folds perfectly flat as the back seats do. When the seats fold down they have a hard vinyl that protects the fabric and is easy to clean up after you get done moving something. People have always been amazed at how handy this car is. I have moved extremely bulky and long items in this car with no problem. You can even rent a trailer for $30 from you haul and it is already set up for it. I found I could get the fuel economy, reliability, and utility of a smaller car and avoid the larger expensive gas guzzler SUV's. If you are looking for a meticulously maintained car with a documented maintenance history this is the car for you. If you are looking to buy something that is perfect, that does not have any wear on it, you should consider buying a new car. This car is priced below book value and would be much more on any lot. Please ask any questions and if you would like more pictures before you bid so we can work out the logistics if you are not local. Thank you for looking, I have been on ebay since 2000 and have 100% feedback. Please read below before bidding: ITEM DESCRIPTIONS: Some of the items I sell are older, vintage, and almost always pre-owned. I do my absolute best to catch and mention any blemishes, defects, etc., but on occasion I don't catch everything. Please know this when bidding on older or used items. I do not mind taking extra pictures to email you or anything just to get us on the same page. SHIPPING: I will ship with three (3) business days of auction ending as the description states but often its within the second day. Please understand that most items can not be packaged until after auction end or sale as last minute photo requests or questions are frequent. I carefully package all items so that they arrive safely at your door. I will only ship to paypal verified addresses. I normally ship USPS however due to different situations (postal lines, location, etc) UPS is used at times. LOCAL PICK UP ITEMS: Local pick up items are available for pick up at the location listed in the auction. I have sold several items and always have had a great time meeting fellow eBay users. Several times people have wanted items listed for local pick up shipped to them. To accommodate this request I delivered the item to the local UPS store which the seller called in to make the shipping arraignments and payment. I do not mind doing this, however please let me know ahead of time so I can plan to accommodate this. I also do not mind not having a immediate paypal and accepting cash at the time of sale, as many buyers have preferred to do that. Whatever the buyer is comfortable with is fine with me. FEEDBACK: Customer satisfaction is my top priority. I aspire to give you five star services, if you do not get that please contact me ASAP So we can correct the problem before you leave feedback. I always leave feedback after the buyer does so I know the sale is complete and you are happy. Should any issue arise with your purchase, please contact me so that we can work things out. Feedback is very important to all of us, as it allows us to keep the bad apples out of eBay for both buyer and seller. Not only do I sell on eBay but I buy quite a bit, too. It seems a majority of bad feedback results from lack of communication. I ask that before you leave feedback you discuss your issue with me. There is always a common ground solution that can be reached. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: I love my international buyers and most of my listings are available for purchase to worldwide customers. I do appreciate if you bid as an international buyer you send me a message before hand. This allows me to get an estimate on shipping and it shows me you are a real interested buyer. For whatever reason many new buyers without feedback are bidding on items that they never pay for. That will let me know your serious and will get me working out the details before the auction ends. If a listed item is not available internationally (usually due to weight), please contact me prior to bidding so that we can look at shipping costs and reach an agreement prior to purchase.

Everything new at the 2019 New York International Auto Show
Wed, Apr 24 2019Transcript: Welcome to the 2019 New York Auto Show. It's the last auto show, and so far it's my favorite of the year. We have a new buggy, compact pickup and trail ready SUV from Volkswagen. Ford brought the new Escape and a new Mustang performance variant, and we have a brand new Toyota Highlander and Subaru Outback. Let's go take a look around. We're here at the New York Auto Show with the Subaru stand. Normally the Subaru stand is just some white carpet and some show lighting. This year it's like we're in a national park. It's ... Frankly, I'm from Oregon. You're from Colorado. Yeah. It's making us feel at home. And in that way what better place and what better people to introduce this Subaru Outback which is pretty much the official car of Colorado and Oregon. Yeah. You actually have to buy a Subaru before they let you move to Colorado. Now instead of climbing up there and taking a look because we've been told we can't do that we're gonna go over there and check out another one. So the exterior, not that different. No. Looks exactly like an Outback. There's actually oddly a little more black plastic trim on the outside. A little too much for me. Right. It's interesting because it kind of slowly went away from that from the beginning because in the beginning the black plastic trim kind of made it an Outback, and now they're kind of bringing it back. I guess they needed to make it more macho. Right. Right. Now we're inside. Inside it looks pretty different. Swank. It's kind of swank for an Outback which has been pretty plain. Now this is the newly available vertically gigantic touch screen here. 11.6 inches. That is massive. This is how big it is when it's turned on ... just for the viewers. Now this is the onyx trim. So with that you get the black mirrors, the black wheels. This upholstery is special to the onyx, so it's gray and black and you also have this green stitching. Yeah, I like this accent stitching. It's kind of neat. Oh there's also a little tray there. Well this is a deep bin here. You can probably fit a phone. There we go. Almost. Yeah there are two USB ports. There's an additional two in the backseat. So this thing here you pop in the cup holder and it gives you a little more space or less space. These are really big, so if you have one of those Nalgene bottles I'm guessing it's going to fit in there. One of my complaints about my Subaru that I own now which is a naturally aspirated Crosstrek is that up in the mountains. It's slow?
Weekly Recap: Ford GT inspires guitar, foosball table, sailboat
Sat, Apr 18 2015Ford design vice president Moray Callum had just wrapped up a briefing on the interior of the Ford GT last month, but something seemed out of place. He grinned and pointed behind him, "You might be wondering why I have a boat behind me," he said mischievously. It was there because Ford set its designers on a mission to stretch and showcase their talents: design non-automotive objects inspired by the interior of the GT supercar. Callum received quite a response, too. His team produced a guitar, a foosball table (yeah bro!), a racing sailboat, a Wi-Fi speaker and some furniture. As the veteran design chief explained, "It's a really great exercise both to highlight our designers' talents, but also to really see how our design philosophy can work and how you can use it and get a common response back from a worldwide design team." Guitar View 25 Photos The objects have been on display this week at the Salone del Mobile furniture and fashion design fair in Milan, Italy, where Ford has had a presence for three years. There's also a light exhibition that apparently was inspired by the GT, as well. While this might seem a little far-fetched for the automaker, Ford said exhibitions like the Salone del Mobile give its designers another way to be creative and ultimately produce striking interior style. Ford wants this to be a differentiator, as research shows consumers are placing emphasis on the layout and features inside when they're making a decision about buying a new car. It's a little light hearted – but it's also potentially big business. Other News & Notes Cadillac CT6 platform could be used for Buick General Motors product chief Mark Reuss said the Cadillac CT6 platform could be used for a large Buick, though "not yet," Automotive News reported. The underpinnings can accommodate rear-wheel or all-wheel drive and would give Buick the large flagship it lacks. The report jibes with comments Reuss made at a roundtable with Autoblog and other reporters at the New York Auto Show. When asked if Buick had space for a large car on the CT6 chassis, he replied, "Yeah, I think it does. Yeah, I think we do." Buick has revamped its lineup in recent years with attractive crossovers and small and midsize sedans, but hasn't added the proverbial flagship that's yearned for by enthusiasts. Buick surprised industry observers with the stylish Avenir concept at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year that raised the possibility of a halo sedan.
Ram takes out frustrations on Camry
Fri, May 29 2015No, not a Ram pickup truck. This is an actual ram, as in a male sheep, headbutting the hell out of a Toyota Camry that made the unfortunate decision to interrupt its battle with a rival member of the flock. Now, before you say, "How dare that Camry harm that cuddly sheep," we'd like to point out just how viciously the two males were fighting before the Toyota butted in. And after smashing the driver's side front fascia, the ram goes right back to attempting to beat down its opponent. All things considered then, we'd call this Ram: 1, Camry: 0.
