1992 Toyota MR2 turbo T-top. Chasi has 222k miles. Since build the car has less than 2,500 miles!!! Just finished break in and had its first street tuning!!! I have original dyno sheets from before the new harness was done to get some numbers and the car put down between mid 300+-500+WHP on a land sea dyno at different boost levels with communication problems this is why the new harness was made...(dyno was acting up but read peaks and I have the print outs)
This car is STREETABLE with a good clear title in hand and no accident to my knowledge and I have been the owner for about the last 9 years!!!! It is currently tuned on pump around 18-21lbs on the wasgate... I have put less than 50 miles on the car since tuning..... I was planning on racing the car and then decided to back it down a little so the car was still reliable and able to drive on the street. I have driven this car for 3 hours straight with not one issue!!!! Motor is built to be capable of handling upwards of 750HP!!! with proper fuel and tuning.
Everything was professionally built and installed by MTR in South Florida... which I have more than $20,000 in receipts not included all labor!!!!! my lose will be your gain

***Little ticks: The car is in need of some good dyno tuning. It originally was dyno tuned but had a glitch in the harness, a brand new race harness was made for the car and had some basic street tuning done. Car was mapped and tuned to have some fun on the street but was not dyno tuned (do to this car on cold start after sitting for a week or so will take a few crank overs to run, after that starts right up no problem... This is also something that is not uncommon on a car this built... I dont drive it often maybe once a week or every other week so it doesnt sit). I think there may be a draw/ground out in the car some where. Havent had the time to mess with it and find it. the battery is never totally dead just low on power... This car was a project car and is not 100% complete on body and interior. The body is clean and straight with no major damage, I had a quick macco paint job done before i started on it but has been in and out of my garage and MTR over the corse of 5 years being built. The interior is in good shape for the most part dash is good and so are door panels, I have all the interior trims but they are not all installed at the moment. A/C compressor is on the car and all parts are in place EXCEPT for the cooling condenser in the front ( I removed it when I installed the new radiator). The condenser will come with the car so it can have A/C again... A/C worked fine before removal.

Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with
Mon, 12 May 2014Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.
Translogic 164: Driving the fuel cell vehicles of the 2014 LA Auto Show
Wed, Nov 26 2014The LA Auto Show is known for its environmentally friendly vehicle debuts. At last year's show, hydrogen fuel cell concepts from Honda and Toyota joined a lease-ready Hyundai Tucson FCEV to cast a green hue over the convention center. This year, automakers took us a step closer to a fuel cell future by offering drives of their hydrogen-electric hybrids. Translogic host Jonathon Buckley takes a ride in the Toyota Mirai, which is headed for production in 2016. He follows that with a spin in the Volkswagen Passat HyMotion and the Audi A7 Sportback h-tron quattro concept. Which of these fuel cell vehicles holds the most promise? Tune in to find out. Scion rules out roadster, turbo versions of FR-S
Tue, Nov 25 2014Ever since Toyota and Subaru released the sports car alternatively known as the GT86, 86, BRZ and Scion FR-S a couple of years ago, rumors have circulated that even more exciting variants could be in store. But at least as far as Scion is concerned, those rumors are apparently nothing more than wishful thinking. Speaking with WardsAuto at the LA Auto Show last week, Scion chief Doug Murtha said that the prospect of an FR-S roadster has been taken off the table entirely. Apparently Scion lobbied parent company Toyota to produce just such a model, but after failing to find other markets interested enough in the model to put it into production, corporate HQ said no. "I think we were pretty aggressive on our (submitted plan), but we looked at what we would have conceivably lost on the product and said, 'We're not going to even push it further,'" Murtha said, going on to note, "Nobody was more disappointed than we were." Murtha further shot down the idea of a turbo version of the FR-S, dismissing it as a prospect the blogosphere (that's us) wanted to happen but "that's not something that's coming." Either variant might have helped Scion and Toyota boost sales of the model (which are predictably dropping after their first two years on the market), but the investment also might not have paid off their development, tooling and marketing costs. Of course, Murtha can only speak for Toyota, but we'd be surprised to see Subaru go it alone on either model, as costs would be that much more prohibitive without a partner. Bummer.
