Hi Everyone,

I list vehicles from time to time that are friends, and this is the case now. This is a 1968 Land Cruiser Survivor that has been in a barn for a bunch of years. It was purchased by my friend to give his brother some "mechanical work"' (as the body is in pretty good shape), and unfortunately his brother passed right after he purchased the cruiser. He just couldn't bring himself to sell it then, and after the many years passed, he has finally made the decision. My buddies and I put some fuel in it, a painless wiring harness, carb, battery and puff...she runs again! It does ride and drive and is very close to being able to put it on the road....going over the lights, brakes, etc. So that is the story, we are going to list this at a very reasonable price and considering the body isn't all rotted away, the 6 cyl runs strong and it even has the top....(which will need a little work), you have a great start to making a 30K survivor out of it.

Toyota confirms 2014 Highlander is in a New York state of mind

Toyota has confirmed that it will be showing off the all-new 2014 Highlander at the New York Auto Show later this month. It's been a while since we've heard about the updated Highlander, but given just how long this thing has been on the market, we certainly hope that the list of changes will be more extensive than the new 2014 Toyota Tundra that debuted in Chicago last month.
Currently, the Highlander is offered in both naturally aspirated and hybrid versions, with front- and all-wheel drive. We don't expect the formula to change too much, since sales of the Japanese CUV are still steady - well in line with newer players in the segment like the Ford Explorer, Nissan Pathfinder and GM's Lambda triplets (Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave).

2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Ultimate Edition

Introduced at the end of 2006, this is the last year for the Toyota FJ Cruiser, the reincarnated FJ40-series Land Cruiser that will shortly journey to Takama-ga-hara, the Plain of High Heaven. In its first model year, we drove it to SEMA and found it, shall we say, coarse. It bobbled on the freeway and droned in the cabin, its boxy interior providing four bounce-boards for unpleasant frequencies. Tall mirrors helped one work around the eclipse of vision aft of the B-pillars, but navigating traffic required forethought and technique. Its turning circle was measured in kilometers. For the first two years of its life, it needed premium gas. It may have been fun to look at, but we couldn't wait to get out of it.
That's not the case anymore, and now the FJ Cruiser is poised to join a long list of vehicles that got better and better, then got axed.
