Thanks for checking out this auction on my pride and joy 1988 FJ62 Land Cruiser. This truck is truly a rare find in this condition and is driven daily anywhere and everywhere. The great thing about this FJ is that it is basically all original with the exception of a factory color scheme repaint about 5 years ago. This FJ runs and drives excellent with cold a/c,4x4 that works and is extremely reliable.Basically everything works properly all the factory gauges, headlights, tail lights, brake lights,horn,wipers,heater,clock,a/c,4x4,hazzords,turn signals, door locks, courtesy light and power windows with the exception of the rear drivers side window. This FJ is always maintained to a strict schedule and never abused in any way and a non smoked in truck. The keys are original and work the locks properly as well as the original manuals in the glove compartment. There are many new parts that have recently been installed such as new Stainless Catback exhaust, new rear brakes, rear hatch shocks, new tires, rear tail light lenses and new front side marker lights.I am the third owner and it is basically a rust free truck, please look at all the pictures carefully as they where all just taken. The glass on this FJ is crystal clear and all in excellent shape. The interior is all original and in wonderful condition i had seat covers on the front till recently so you can see how amazing the original fabric on the seats have held up through out the years.Like i said this is a daily driven FJ that commands attention everywhere i drive it with a clean and clear Florida title in hand. The fortunate new owner must arrange transportation i will assist any way i can with storing and loading. For anyone looking for an unmolested FJ62 this is the one for you its a beautiful truck and am sad to see it go and i know the new owner will be more than satisfied.Although this FJ is in excellent shape please do not expect it to look or drive like it just rolled off the show room floor as it does have 186000 miles although it has always been pampered. Thanks for looking and please feel free to email me with any questions or offers.Good Luck!!!

2015 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro

Thu, 23 Oct 2014

Despite the earnest efforts of Japanese automakers like Toyota and Nissan, the American pickup truck scene remains wholly dominated by the likes of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler. This is not news. Part of the reason is because of the sheer number of variants offered by US automakers - everything from work-spec base trucks to house-leveling heavy duty models can be had, with a seemingly endless combination of engines, cab sizes, bed lengths and trim levels. It's a hugely profitable business, and though the Japanese automakers still offer competitive fullsize trucks, in terms of sheer volume, they simply don't compete.
But American pickups aren't just about work; there's a huge play aspect involved, too. Look at the desert-storming Ford F-150 SVT Raptor or the Ram Power Wagon - these butch trucks are built with superb off-road prowess in mind, and Detroit's Japanese rivals have once again largely been silent in this segment. Until now.
Introduced at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, Toyota now offers the TRD Pro series of models that, in addition to the crazy-orange Tundra seen here, includes the smaller Tacoma pickup and 4Runner SUV. And this isn't just some pretty appearance package, either - there's honest-to-goodness capability baked into all of the TRD Pro models. Intriguing, for sure, so I recently spent a weekend with the big boy Tundra to see what's what.

Toyota releases its Le Mans recap, 'The Ultimate Endurance Race'

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

Two weeks ago, Audi released its short video about this years 24 Hours of Le Mans, and now Toyota has put the experience into its own words and pictures. Called The Ultimate Endurance Race, the clip and accompanying press release focus on how hybrid power helped Toyota claim second and fourth places with the TS030 Hybrid in just its second year competing at Le Mans.
There are some brief scenes of the battles had this year, like when Lucas di Grassi in the Toyota almost kissed Allan McNish in the Audi above, but the best part might be when Toyota promises it will be back. Next year, it's gonna be good. You'll find the relevant words and the images just below.

BMW-Toyota joint sports car project is on like Donkey Kong

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

It's official - there will be a jointly developed sports car from BMW and Toyota. While the two auto giants signed a Memorandum of Understanding that pledged to pursue "joint development of architecture and components for a future sports vehicle" back in June of 2012, in the interim, it has remained unclear how those plans had been progressing. BMW has finally officially confirmed that the German and Japanese manufacturers will be codeveloping a pair of sports cars in addition to pursuing other disciplines including fuel cell systems and lightweight technologies.
"We have agreed on a joint architecture for a sports car. What is important is that there will be two different vehicles that are authentic to the two brands," BMW Development Chief Herbert Diess told Germany's Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Reuters is reporting. This is a very, very big step for both brands, but now the speculation can officially begin as to what the products of this agreement will look like.
There's ample reason to believe that the BMW-Toyota tie up will result in a Supra successor based on comments made by the chief engineer of the GT86/FR-S program, Tatsuya Tada, back in August. Follow that with a rumor from earlier this month that Toyota could debut a Supra concept car at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show later this month, and we could be seeing the fruits of this partnership sooner rather than later.
