85 Toyota Land Cruiser Fj60 on 2040-cars
Skiatook, Oklahoma, United States
This Cruiser is in great condition! I purchased it in Colorado and originally thought I would keep it and put a Toyota Diesel in it for my enjoyment, but never made it that far...lol. The engine is a 2F out of the same year with 184,000 miles on it. The engine runs great and has plenty of power. This Cruiser is solid from the top to bottom. NO RUST on the structure, the floor boards and cab mounts are perfect. The rear rockers required some auto body work but heck what FJ60 cruiser doesn't, the Cruiser is overall in great shape. I have restored the original body from the 033 paint code with new original paint 033 white. I have too many projects going on right now (so my wife says) and need the room for my latest creation.
New parts: Tires 265/75/16 AT BF Goodrich Leaf spring bushings "Hell for Stout" Shocks front and back "Hell for Stout" Factory Toyota front bumper caps Front brakes Roof Rack 50x64 Warrior New factory Toyota 033 code paint Cargo light cover Left front amber marker light 4 LED 4" ECCO lights with key-faub remote on and off switch with battery and maintainer Champion 10,000lb Winch with front receiver hook-up to frame (bolted with grade 8 bolts, not welded) |

Toyota Camry Hybrid SE adds a dash of limited-edition sport
Tue, 04 Feb 2014For drivers who want to benefit from the increased efficiency of a hybrid sedan but who don't want to look like they'd rather be hugging trees, Toyota has just announced its 2014.5 Camry Hybrid SE Limited Edition.
The SE LTD combines the exterior bits and pieces that make the SE look sportier than other Camry models with the 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine, electric motor and nickel metal hydride battery pack of the Camry Hybrid. That means the Hybrid SE offers up 200 combined system horsepower to the front wheels, and we'd expect it to be rated at the same 40 miles per gallon city and 38 highway of the Camry XLE Hybrid.
Only 5,000 units will be produced between February and June of 2014, with an asking price of $27,845, which is about $700 more expensive than the base Camry Hybrid LE or $2,620 less than the Hybrid XLE that Toyota says shares a similar level of equipment. Sounds like a fair shake to us. Scroll down below for the complete press release.
Scion FR-S Convertible (in Toyota GT86 form) spied in South Africa
Fri, 15 Feb 2013Though the eventual existence of a convertible version of the Toyota GT86 (and its Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ versions for America) is a no-brainer, we've yet to get a glimpse of the real-deal car until now.
Spotted in Cape Town, South Africa, of all places, this completely undisguised GT86 convertible seems to be in a remarkably advanced state of development. The image seen here was obviously sniped from quite a distance and without the aid of a powerful lens, but we can still make out a production-ready looking piece of rear bodywork for the convertible top to hide away in, as well as a functioning trunk lid. It's hard to make out with any certainty, based on this evidence, but there does seem to be space retained behind the front seats for two, small rear chairs.
With the first car spotted, we'd expect to seem some more and better images of it flow through in the near future, and if not, Toyota has already confirmed a concept version for next month's Geneva Motor Show, dubbed FT-86 Open, so stay tuned. For now, click through to the FT86Club.com forum to have a slightly closer look at the images.
Toyota sizzle reel gives better look at i-Road Geneva concept
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Toyota is taking the tiny tandem Tango to Tron town. In a teaser video for the new i-Road, debuting at the Geneva Motor Show next week, we catch a light-bike-like glimpse of Toyota's quirky tandem-seat concept. We still don't know much about the vehicle itself, but the video does flash the words "fun, compact, emissions-free," which suggests this is an electric ride. Then comes the apparent tagline: "i Roll, i Rock i Road." An indication that the tilting image we see in the video isn't just a special effect, perhaps? We'll have to wait until we get to Switzerland next week to find out. Until then, you can watch the video below.
In more earthly reveals, Toyota will also show off its hotly anticipate FT-86 Open sports car concept and Auris Touring Sports wagon on its Geneva show stand.
