A Very clean and well taken care of 1984 Toyota FJ60 Landcruiser powered by a Chevy 350.
Factory paint in really good shape. Body has no big dents, just dings and a couple of paint scratches(see pics).
Interior in good shape for its age, carpet is fair, panels are good, seats are fair, headliner very nice along with the dash.
Bumpers have seen better days, but are repairable. Or replace them with custom bumpers like ARB or RED GOAT Fab.
HID Fog projectors, and H4 headlights.
 Con-Fer roof rack.
 Safari snorkel.
9k miles on a fully balanced Chevy 350. I built this motor myself, and it is very smooth. Don't worry, I am a ASE Master and Adv level technician.
Engine is ready for TBI or Vortec fuel injection, but is running a aftermarket manifold and 4 barrel carb right now. Edelbrock water pump, MSD HEI dizzy and coil.
Ram Horn exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust. New alternator, dual battery system with Sure Power isolator. Electric thermo controlled radiator fan and CSF radiator 2 years old.
Fully rebuilt and resealed front differential and axles and bearings.
All fluids recently serviced in rear diff, transmission and transfer case. Minor leak in transfer case, I have not bothered with it as it is small. New u-joints in rear drive shaft.
Any questions or picture requests, please let me know.
You will look a long time for one this nice, don't miss out.

Toyota i-Road is no less strange in the flesh

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

We've seen plenty of three-wheeled creations in our day, but none quite like the Toyota i-Road Concept. The "personal mobility vehicle" offers seating for two with driver and passenger positioned in a tandem position. While that may sound more like a motorcycle than a car, the closed cockpit means riders don't need a helmet. The design also takes a page from the 2008 Peugeot HyMotion3 Concept with an articulating front suspension that allows the driver to lean through corners thanks to "Active Lean" self-balancing technology. Unlike the funky Pug, however, the i-Road is a fully electric plug-in vehicle.
While there are just five-horsepower on hand from an electric motor, the i-Road should serve up a range of around 30 miles thanks to its lithium-ion battery, and Toyota claims the cells can be topped off in three hours with a "conventional domestic power supply." Sounds majestic. Take in the full press release below.

Toyota Avalon celebrates 20 years with Touring Sport Edition

Mon, 27 Oct 2014

The Toyota Avalon may not have the sportiest image on the market. Heck, it doesn't even have the sportiest image in the Toyota lineup. But the Japanese automaker is out to fix that perception, at least a little bit, with the launch of the new Touring Sport Edition.
Announced together with some minor updates to the entire Avalon line - consisting primarily of enhanced safety and infotainment systems - the Avalon XLE Touring Sport Edition celebrates the 20th anniversary of Toyota's large sedan line. Setting this special edition apart are a black paintjob, HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloys (similar in design to those on the Scion FR-S) and an interior decked out with perforated leather with dark blue trim... plus, of course, the requisite special badges inside and out.
Only 2,500 units will be offered with a $37,170 sticker price that puts it near (if not quite at) the top of the Avalon range that's capped by the $41,700 Avalon Hybrid Limited. Pricing has increased on most models by around two percent, and you can scope out all the details of the updates to the full range in the press releases below.

GT Academy returns, and why Gran Turismo 6 demands a pedal/wheel setup

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

The path to become a racing driver is a difficult one. It requires starting early, with karts, and then building up through the years and if you're really, really good (and really, really lucky), a team will notice you and sign you up. Or, you know, you could just become really good at Gran Turismo, and beat out other like-minded fanatics for a seat in the GT Academy.
The racing school, which culls its students from the ranks of Gran Turismo players has already pumped out successful racers, most notably, Lucas Ordoñez, who has a second and third-place finish under his belt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With the 2014 GT Academy kicking off April 21 and running through June 16, you could have a chance to be the next Ordoñez.
That won't be easy, though. We recently had a playthrough on GT6 the proper way - with a racing seat, pedals and a steering wheel, complete with column-mounted paddles. (Our setup looked just like the one you see above, though that image is from E3.) In other words, it was as close to driving an actual car as most console games can get.
