1977 Toyota Landcruiser Fj45 1hz Diesel Ute on 2040-cars

I have been an enthusiest for 20 years and have had many  fj45 pickups over the years. A friend of mine in australia and I decided to bring some fj45 utes over from australia here to california. My goal is to bring in some neat  fj45's and hj47 utes and offer them as real untouched, unrestored, running and driving work trucks and most importantly offer them at affordable prices that most can afford. There will be no fresh paint jobs, bondo, mismatched parts, etc. No buy it now for $75k!! No dealers, or out of the country sales. These trucks are located in California by private party. with that said they cannot be registered here in california directly. They need to be registered in a neighboring state first and then can come into california. So use due diligence when bidding and make sure you can register in your state(most are very easy) California is always the hardest state to register vehicles. This truck will be sold with a bill of sale and dot import paperwork, Aussie trucks do not have a title. This is a 1977 fj45 ute rhd. It has been upgraded with the much sought after 1hz late model toyota diesel engine,as well as an h41 4spd with the low first gear, and a split transfercase. It also has power disk brakes and rare power steering! and factory full float rear end and split rims! It is a well used original paint fj45 that runs great, goes down the road great. the engine has aprox 180 km and has NO blowby, and does not smoke at all, even dead cold fires right up after a short glow(manual glow system. Runs very strong and is quiet,a real joy to drive. the frame is solid, no rust, the cab has various rust spots, top lower corners( I have replacement sections for this) Pass floor has some rust through, windshield frame has some minor areas, nothing that isnt fixable. The brakes need some work, right front caliper seized and maybe a master cylinder? Hard pedal fade. Engine is very dry, no major leaks anywhere.Seats need some work. Basically an honest solid drivetrain, that runs drives and goes down the road. Would be a great truck to tinker on and fix the cosmetics as you drive. Please ask questions and have good feedback, and be serious and dont waste my time! Good luck...THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!

This first-gen Toyota Celica is one mean mother

Tue, 09 Jul 2013

Brian Karasawa's gen-one Toyota Celica is, in a word, badass. As a long-standing fan of the marque, the doting owner has tried to both restore and improve his Celica keeping period-correct modifications in mind. The 20R/22R mashup engine is outputting roughly 185 horsepower and graced with a lot of JDM-specific parts and modifications. Clearly, the exhaust has been upgraded from stock, as clips of the orange Toyota in motion are accompanied by one hell of a nice sound.
Tastes clearly vary, and there's not as much love for the first-wave of Japanese metal as there is for similar era American-iron, but we're pleased to see these cars finally getting more time in the spotlight. Scroll down below to see why we're stoked, and consider cruising your local Craigslist for late 1970s and early 1980s Japanese coolness (before we get there first).

2015 Toyota Camry priced at $22,970*, Hybrid at $26,790*

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

We last saw the heavily revised 2015 Toyota Camry at the New York Auto Show earlier this year. Now, it's finally time for the best-selling car in the US to hit the roads in late September, and Toyota is announcing how much the updated model actually costs.
The basic Camry LE rings up for $22,970 (*not including a $825 delivery, processing and handling fee). That's up slightly from the base price of $22,425 for the 2014.5 LE, but the updated sedan has some 2,000 new parts, while also being 1.8 inches longer and boasting a 0.4-inch wider track. The rest of the trim levels include the SE for $23,840, sporty new XSE for $26,150 and XLE at $26,150. Opting for the V6 is the XSE and XLE bumps pricing to $31,370.
Separately, the Camry Hybrid gets its own LE, SE and XLE trims. The LE starts at $26,790 with a standard, power driver's seat and 4.2-inch information display. The SE for $27,995 gets an improved interior and the XLE at $29,980 has leather, heated front seats, LED running lights and more.
