1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40!! A really super nice body to restore with very minimal rust ( see pictures ) and very little body damage as well. If you are looking for a FJ to build that does not need major rust or body repair, this could be what you have been looking for. In any restoration you are always money ahead purchasing the better body that needs little or no rust repair or body damage repair. Look at the cost of panel by panel replacement on some rusted out tub and compare that cost against the purchase of this body and you will be hundreds of dollars ahead and much less headache and end up with a better body to boot!!!! A new reproduction 3/4 tub cost $4,500 + by itself. I've owned several older FJ's and this is one of the best unmolested and original bodies that I've seen in a long time. I originally purchased this FJ40 for the tub to go on my rusty 1978 FJ 40 that has many nice modifications and updated features, however I'm finding it hard bringing myself to use it only for parts due to it's nice condition. The boby was painted in black primer many years ago and is now mostly faded. The original Toyota color seen under the primer is a rare color called Spring Green. This FJ has belonged to one family its entire life until I purchased it 6 months ago from the estate. It had set covered up under a tarp until a high wind destroyed the tarp recently. It has not ran or been driven in 8 -10 years. The engine will turn over. This is a project FJ 40 and is not currently running. Has the original 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed transmission with complete running gear. The floor boards are very solid from front to back including the cross member that goes under the rear doors. I've included good pictures of the rusted area as well as the underside of floor boards and floor braces that are usually rotted out on most tubs. Rusted through spots are shown in pictures and is confined to the factory tool box area under drivers seat. Small patch work will be needed in this area, however this is flat metal area and a easy fix. The cargo area and driver and passenger floor boards show what is SURFACE RUST ONLY in these areas. However, there is a few very small pinhole spots in the floor boards, but very small and almost unnoticeable unless you search for them carefully. These spots would easily cover over with a bed liner type coating and never seen after that. The floors front and rear are not weak or spongie if you stand in them. There is two seats that go with this FJ that are from a 2004 Toyota Tundra pickup that are in excellent condition and are also shown in the pictures. The original seat frame work is also available. This FJ has no top. Delivery may be possible for a fee. Delivery will depend on location and my schedule. Delivery is not guaranteed. A good Oklahoma title. What you see is what you get. No warranties are implied or expressed. If you have questions, feel free to call or text at 918-606-1338. Serious buyers only. Your commitment to purchase is a legal binding agreement with eBay. If you have under a 20 feedback score or any negative feedback, you must contact me "prior " to purchase or risk your purchase being cancelled. UPDATE!!! PLEASE NOTICE. I forgot to mention. This pertains To Oklahoma buyers only. The tags has not been kept current here in Oklahoma since it was not driven nor insured. Oklahoma buyers will face a delinquient tag penalty when registered in their name here in Oklahoma. Oklahoma buyers must factor these fees into their purchase as an additional cost to them. TERMS OF SALE A $500.00 non - refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the end of the sale via Paypal or bank wire transfer. The balance must be paid within 5 days from the end of auction via cash, personal check, cashier check or wire transfer. If a personal check or cashier check is used on the balance a hold will be put on the vehicle until my bank says funds have cleared. I will not accept Paypal on the balance due to their fees on a sale of this size.

Toyota Prius sales could come up short in 2013
Sat, 06 Jul 2013A Toyota executive has said that the automaker's hybrid Prius model may not reach its 2013 goal of selling 250,000 units in the US marketplace. Bill Fay, group vice president for Toyota's US sales, told Reuters, "The 240,000 to 250,000 range is kind of where we're settling our sights for the Prius family."
The first-generation Prius, a five-passenger model, was introduced to the States in 2001 (its arrival made it the second mass-produced hybrid, after the two-seat Honda Insight). The second-generation model arrived in 2004, followed by the current third-generation design that arrived for the 2010 model year. The automaker has subsequently added the Prius V, a hatchback wagon (shown above) and the Prius C, a subcompact hatchback. As of March, 2013, cumulative worldwide sales of the Prius had reached 3.67 million units.
Last year, Toyota sold 236,659 Prius models in the US. However, sales of the model have fallen 5.1 percent in the first six months of 2013. In response, the automaker has boosted its marketing for the model, and the promotions are expected to continue through at least July.
The techie choice | 2017 Toyota Prius Prime Quick Spin
Wed, Jun 14 2017The Prius nameplate has been inexorably tied to the green car scene for a long time now. When Toyota unleashed the Prius Prime upon the world, we said it was the best Prius yet. But this is no longer a world where Toyota's hybrids are automatically crowned king. Our recent time with the Hyundai Ioniq trio was a stark reminder that the economical, eco-conscious competition is getting stiffer. We put some miles on a Prius Prime to see how our recent Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid test colors our view of Toyota's prime contender. Our first impression: the Prius design is very clean and inorganic. As sterile as it feels, the design appears to have a lot of actual thought behind it. Our Advanced trim tester is spiritually in touch with the mobile gadget culture, with a huge touchscreen, digitization of seemingly everything, and white and black glossy plastic aesthetic. It's a tech-heavy design that will likely seem familiar to those of us who have been interfacing with Apple designs for the past 10 or so years. The Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid, on the other hand, remains truer to the look and feel most drivers expect from their commuters. It's less about user interface, modes, and drive data, and more about just getting behind the wheel and driving. The Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid hardly even distinguishes itself from its plugless counterparts, opting to go green under cover rather than the in-your-face futurism the Prius projects. It retains the traditional instrument cluster in front of the driver, too, which the Prius Prime lacks. In the Toyota, you'll have to look around the car for the right display with the information you're looking for – there's the huge central touchscreen with all its menus, as well as smaller displays above it on the dash – or you can find your speed on the HUD. The Prius is composed in its handling, but doesn't provide much of the sensory feedback that makes one feel connected to the chassis. The steering feels super artificial, but the car stays fairly flat in the corners without providing too much feedback through the seat of your pants. Hyundai's offering, though, proved to be a surprisingly willing dance partner in the corners. While feeling equally as capable as the Prius, the Ioniq's sense of connection through steering and suspension made the act of stitching one turn after another together enough to get our blood pumping. Sport mode makes the Prius Prime slightly livelier, though.
Toyota Mirai officially first hydrogen-powered pace car
Sun, Apr 26 2015In addition to the chance to see bumper-to-bumper racing in a unique atmosphere, the roar of V8 engines is one of the things that compel people to attend NASCAR events, rather than watching them from the couch on TV. The front end of the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway was a whole lot quieter, though, because the 2016 Toyota Mirai made its debut as a pace car there. Outfitted with a light bar and a special livery, the Mirai became the first hydrogen fuel cell vehicle to ever pace a NASCAR race and led the cars to the green flag for Saturday night's Sprint Cup round. The sedan was tested prior to the event to prove it had the performance required to lead the 43-car field. "Bringing the Mirai to Richmond to pace this important race is another way for Toyota to showcase our innovation and environmental leadership," Ed Laukes, company vice president of marketing, performance, and guest experience, said. There's some precedent for Toyota to show off its green credentials to the NASCAR audience. In 2009, a Camry Hybrid paced the Coca-Cola 600. The automaker's fuel cell tech already had a maiden motorsport outing, too. Late last year, the FCV Concept, which previewed the Mirai, was the zero car to check the roads for the Shinshiro Rally in Japan. TOYOTA MIRAI TAKES TO THE TRACK 23/04/15 Mirai Will Pace Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Mirai Is First Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle to Pace a NASCAR Race RICHMOND, VA. (April 23, 2015) – Toyota today announced the 2016 Toyota Mirai, a hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle, will pace the Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday night, April 25. Today's approval allows the Mirai to serve as the first hydrogen-fueled vehicle to pace a NASCAR race. It will lead the Sprint Cup Series field to the green flag at Richmond on Saturday night and emit only water out of its tailpipe along the way. "Having a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle pace the Toyota Owners 400 is a historic moment for both Toyota and NASCAR and we're proud it's the Toyota Mirai," said Ed Laukes, vice president of marketing, performance and guest experience, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A.
