Hello, I have had my cruiser for about 8 years and unfortunately for me I have to sell it. I bought this cruiser from a good friend of mine who was the second owner when I purchased it from him. I have done modifications to the cruiser such as the 33x12.5 mud terrains and the 15 inch aluminum wheels. It has a four point roll cage with black interior.

Most of the modifications have been done in engine compartment and drivetrain system. The engine is a stock fuel injected LQ9 V8 I took out of a 06 Chevy Tahoe with approximately 60,000 miles on it. Before installing the engine, it was restored in a good friends shop. Engine has new crankshaft bearings, rod bearings, cam bearings, piston rings, and all around new gaskets. I haven't driven it much and engine has less than 5,000 miles on it. Exhaust headers where custom made and has an aluminum radiator with a powerful electric fan so no overheating problems on this FJ. Transmission is a restored chevy 350, 3 speed automatic combined with a 3.73 gear ratio in the differentials that nicely cruises at 70 MPH on highway without forcing the engine. Cruiser also has front spring suspension which makes it a soft ride on and off road. Disc brakes on all four wheels make it stop fast safely and in a straight line. Thank you for looking at my posting.

2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser Ultimate Edition

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

Introduced at the end of 2006, this is the last year for the Toyota FJ Cruiser, the reincarnated FJ40-series Land Cruiser that will shortly journey to Takama-ga-hara, the Plain of High Heaven. In its first model year, we drove it to SEMA and found it, shall we say, coarse. It bobbled on the freeway and droned in the cabin, its boxy interior providing four bounce-boards for unpleasant frequencies. Tall mirrors helped one work around the eclipse of vision aft of the B-pillars, but navigating traffic required forethought and technique. Its turning circle was measured in kilometers. For the first two years of its life, it needed premium gas. It may have been fun to look at, but we couldn't wait to get out of it.
That's not the case anymore, and now the FJ Cruiser is poised to join a long list of vehicles that got better and better, then got axed.

Toyota GT86 engineer Tada recounts how sports car came to be

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

Because the Toyota GT86, Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ coupes are now a reality, it's almost hard to imagine the struggle that had to happen within the large, conservative corporate structures at both automakers for the joint project to even get off of the ground.
Speaking to those struggles on Toyota UK's Toyota Blog, GT86 Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada enlightens us with a recap of the sports car's earliest origins. For Tada, the first stages of the project must have seemed almost as dreamlike as the final product is to drive.
Said the Chief, "I had been working in the minivan department engineering new product, but a month after the meeting I was summoned. 'Forget about minivans,' they said, 'you are now working on the sports-car project.'"

Toyota sells six of 10 of hybrids in California

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

In an apparent shot back at Ford's increasing market share of electrified vehicles and claim that it accepts more Prius trade-ins for its own hybrids than any other car, Toyota has flexed a muscle and played the numbers game to put the Blue Oval in its place.
Leaning on its hybrid market dominance in California, the Japanese automaker stated that six out of 10 hybrids sold in the Golden State are Toyota models. And it keeps coming: Year-to-date through May 2013, Toyota sold five times more hybrids than Ford. One of every two hybrids in California is a Prius model. In addition, Toyota notes that it has sold 1.5 million Prius vehicles in the US, 90-percent of which are still on the road today.
Want more? We'll let Bill Fay, Toyota's group vice president and general manager of sales lay the smack down:
