Beautiful 1987 Toyota Corolla Ae86 1.6 Single Cam. on 2040-cars
Kearny, New Jersey, United States
1987 Toyota Corolla This 1987 Toyota Corolla 1.6 single cam was always garage kept like a baby. The body is all original with the exception of the rear wing. The wing is painted the same color of the car but is covered black with plastic dip which can be peeled off if you wish. The car was driven mostly everyday with no issues. The only reason I'm selling this car is because I got to a new car payment. Has ice cold air conditioner. The car has a lot of new things which are the following, new timing belt with a brand new head (not refurbished) still under warranty! Brand new starter, battery and alternator, stage 2 clutch with flywheel kit, radiator, emergency brake cables, front rotors and brake pads, lowering spring done the right way, long rear view mirror, head lights, alarm system with door lock actuators. Additionally it has front supra seats, front leather bra, jvc multicolor stereo with capacitor and car amplifier with a speaker box of 2 roxford. The car is also sitting on nice star (Are) deep dish staggered rims with summitomo tires 215/50/13. The extras for the person who takes this car away, the 2 original blue front seats, front racing brake line kit still brand new in the box, a spare used distriburator, temperature climate control unit, 2 new spare lowering springs in box. Has inspection till 2015 of july. |

Toyota Avalon celebrates 20 years with Touring Sport Edition
Mon, 27 Oct 2014The Toyota Avalon may not have the sportiest image on the market. Heck, it doesn't even have the sportiest image in the Toyota lineup. But the Japanese automaker is out to fix that perception, at least a little bit, with the launch of the new Touring Sport Edition.
Announced together with some minor updates to the entire Avalon line - consisting primarily of enhanced safety and infotainment systems - the Avalon XLE Touring Sport Edition celebrates the 20th anniversary of Toyota's large sedan line. Setting this special edition apart are a black paintjob, HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloys (similar in design to those on the Scion FR-S) and an interior decked out with perforated leather with dark blue trim... plus, of course, the requisite special badges inside and out.
Only 2,500 units will be offered with a $37,170 sticker price that puts it near (if not quite at) the top of the Avalon range that's capped by the $41,700 Avalon Hybrid Limited. Pricing has increased on most models by around two percent, and you can scope out all the details of the updates to the full range in the press releases below.
BMW, Toyota outline new tech joint venture, new sports car
Fri, 25 Jan 2013Back in June, Toyota and BMW announced a "memorandum of understanding" outlining plans for the two companies to join forces on future products and technology development. On Thursday, they signed a more formal and binding agreement that goes further into detail about the partnership, and it all sounds pretty exciting. The two announced they will work together in four main areas:
Joint development of a fuel cell system
"Set up a feasibility study to define a joint platform concept for a mid-size sports vehicle"
Toyota C-HR Concept is a high-riding hybrid hatch [w/video]
Thu, 02 Oct 2014Despite having the tendency to offer decidedly bland production cars, Toyota occasionally surprises us with interesting concept cars. Such is the case with the C-HR concept making its debut at the Paris Motor Show this week. It's a concept showing forward-thinking design that hints at "a type of crossover vehicle Toyota would like to bring to market," according to the automaker's release, and it rides on an all-new platform and uses a hybrid powertrain.
About that powertrain: Toyota isn't revealing anything, just saying that it will - brace yourselves - "deliver significantly improved fuel efficiency" (over what, exactly?) The car also uses a brand-new architecture, though it hasn't really revealed any major details about that aspect, either.
It's a high-riding, muscular thing, with a rakish hatchback shape. Should it reach production, Toyota says it would take the shape of a C-segment crossover. It'd be cool to see something like this hit the road someday, but for now, we won't hold our breath.
