I have driven it 20k miles over that time and average over 32mpg with mixed highway and city driving. I only use 0w-20 full synthetic motor oil and have all service records since I've owned it. I replaced the tires with new Firestones about 6k miles ago. The tires have a 70k mile warranty. There is only one dent on the edge of the driver's door where it opened into my wife's car while parked on a hill. If you are comparing prices with a dealership, please keep in mind that they tack on a doc fee which is several hundred dollars in most cases. The price I have listed is the price you pay. Thanks for looking. This is a great car, but I have three and only need two."

I apologize for not having more/better pictures, but it seems like it has rained every day for the last three months in the Charlotte area. I would be happy to email you more pictures upon request. Scion FR-S Convertible (in Toyota GT86 form) spied in South Africa

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

Though the eventual existence of a convertible version of the Toyota GT86 (and its Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ versions for America) is a no-brainer, we've yet to get a glimpse of the real-deal car until now.
Spotted in Cape Town, South Africa, of all places, this completely undisguised GT86 convertible seems to be in a remarkably advanced state of development. The image seen here was obviously sniped from quite a distance and without the aid of a powerful lens, but we can still make out a production-ready looking piece of rear bodywork for the convertible top to hide away in, as well as a functioning trunk lid. It's hard to make out with any certainty, based on this evidence, but there does seem to be space retained behind the front seats for two, small rear chairs.
With the first car spotted, we'd expect to seem some more and better images of it flow through in the near future, and if not, Toyota has already confirmed a concept version for next month's Geneva Motor Show, dubbed FT-86 Open, so stay tuned. For now, click through to the FT86Club.com forum to have a slightly closer look at the images.

Meet the Most Elegant Automobile, and it's for sale

Sat, 08 Jun 2013

Alright, so maybe "most elegant" is a bit of a stretch, but we feel safe in calling the 1992 Toyota Paseo in the video below an "automobile." High praise, we know. Still, it's clear someone loves the awkward little coupe enough to produce a hilarious video to sell the thing. Henry Floyd worked up a quick parody of the over-the-top luxury car ads we all know and loathe, and while the finished product is a little skimpy on details like price or location, it certainly doesn't hold back on the exposition.
Hell, if we didn't already have a parade of horrible ideas floating around our collective driveways, we might even be convinced to give this little heap a new home. You can check out the ad for yourself below, just don't be surprised if you find yourself with a burning desire to own a Paseo.

Toyota TRD Pro lineup coming next week

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

A mysterious Toyota commercial recently popped up on YouTube teasing a new TRD Pro lineup for the Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner, and now we're getting our first official word straight from the automaker on the matter. Courtesy of its Facebook page, Toyota is promising that the TRD Pro models will be introduced on February 6th, ready to "conquer the great outdoors."
This date just so happens to mark the first day of the always-truck-friendly Chicago Auto Show, so while Toyota isn't saying as much, we're almost certain the trucks will show up next week in the Windy City. It's not clear what sort of upgrades TRD Pro brings, but it definitely includes black wheels and a tweaked front end featuring a thick, single-bar grille and bold lettering in place of the stylized Toyota logo (shown above on the Tundra).
Scroll down to see the video, and head over to Toyota's Facebook page to see a teaser image of the 4Runner TRD Pro.
