Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, United States

 2008 Toyota Corolla LE
-80K highway miles
-5spd
-43mpg hwy (larger 16" rims and high profile tires make for a taller final drive ratio)
-New front tires w/ less than 3,000 miles on them
-16" 5 spoke alloy rims (rims were purchased used and do show chipping on the back side of them, look closely in the pictures and you can see)
-Pioneer CD player and all four speakers (aftermarket speakers as well) professionally installed at Audio Illusions in Fall 2013-sound incredible
-JDM front strut tower brace
-Genuine Toyota OEM all-weather rubber floor mats (an absolute must)
-Viper Alarm system (speaker was removed when front strut tower brace was installed, but I still have the speaker and vibrating function on key fob still works as an anti-theft notification)

This is a very clean and meticulously maintained Corolla. The car was garage kept and oil was changed every RELIGIOUSLY every 3,000 miles. I pride myself on being a gentle driver, and that is how I was able to maintain 43 mpg consistently over the course of my commute to work.  There isn't an mpg counter on the car, this is hand-calculated using the trip/gallons pumped when I fill up.  Furthermore, the actual mpg is even higher because of the over-sized rims and tires on the car.  The speedo is off a couple mph as a result (confirmed with my gps).  I am the second owner, and you will not find a better looking Corolla out there. This car is mechanically bone stock.  No engine mods, etc. The previous owner had a Viper alarm installed which is still functional. It runs perfectly. No mechanical issues whatsoever, clutch is very tight. It does have two paint blemishes (see pics).  EVERYTHING works as it should.  (Of note, the TPMS were not transferred to the new wheels, so the car's computer shows the TPMS light as a result.)  This car is worth every penny, I am very confident of that.  You WILL NOT be disappointed.  Let me know if you need specific pictures of a concern you may have.  I was somewhat limited the day I took the pictures because I still had some stuff in the trunk.  Some buyers like to see pictures of every possible angle, and I understand that.  For those wondering about the trunk, there are no issues.  It is clean, no stains.  I have sold five of my vehicles on eBay and have excellent feedback.  If there is something you are curious about, please don't hesitate to ask me for more info.

Toyota Camry Dragster takes the phrase 'sleeper' to its logical extreme [w/video]

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Sometimes, looks can be deceiving. This is certainly one of those times, as Toyota successfully trolled the entirety of the media corps at the 2014 SEMA Show by rolling an innocent-looking Camry onto the floor... only to lift literally the entirety of its body to reveal an 850-horsepower, tube-framed dragster. Well, we have been asking for a more driver-oriented Toyota.
While it's designed to go fast in a straight line, the origin of the Camry Dragster's parts might be surprising. The 5.7-liter V8 engine, transmission, rear axle and electronics were plucked from the Toyota Tundra pickup. Toyota Racing Development donated a supercharger, while a wet-nitrous-injection system was also tacked on for that little extra something. Those goodies will help propel this anonymous looking monster through the quarter mile in just 9.8 seconds.
"This is the most extreme build we've ever unveiled at SEMA," said Toyota's motorsports chief Steve Appelbaum said in a statement. "The transformation from seemingly stock Camry to full-blown racecar just shocks the senses. Chuck Wade and the team at Motorsports Technical Center did a truly spectacular job executing the vision of this project."

Toyota begins shipping Le Yaris to America

Fri, 17 May 2013

Our tiniest Toyota (Scion iQ notwithstanding) is about to get a little French flair. The Japanese automaker announced Thursday that its Toyota Motor Manufacturing France facility would begin building Yaris models destined for North America - specifically, the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. This will mark the first time in history that Toyota has exported vehicles to North America from Europe.
Initially, Toyota will export roughly 25,000 Yaris models to North American markets from France each year. In order to handle this additional production, Toyota Motor Manufacturing France has invested 10 million euro into its French facility.
Despite being somewhat of a snooze-fest (it's a car!), the Yaris carries on in North America with a 106-horsepower 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, with prices starting at $14,370 for the three-door and $15,395 for the five-door, not including $795 for destination.

Toyota launches new Noah, Voxy minivans in Japan [w/videos]

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

We know the feeling: you've got what seems like your whole bloodline to transport, and maybe not quite two of every living kind, but a household pet or two. So you're going to need something big to fit them all. Something like a Toyota Sienna ought to do the trick. But if you live on an Asian island that, we're sorry to say, has been known to flood in what can only be referred to as an Act of God but whose vehicles fall short of such biblical proportions, at least you can get one with a suitably biblical name. (And an awesome one at that, if this writer may say so.)
That would be Noah, the name Toyota gives to its JDM minivan. It's also known as the Voxy, and Toyota has just revealed new versions of both. Previewed in concept form at the recent Tokyo Motor Show, the production Noah and Voxy have been completely redesigned. The boxy form allows for as many as eight seats and a low, flat-folding cargo floor to accommodate your whole clan and all the stuff you could buy from Uniqlo and Muji with the roomiest interior in its class.
Toyota is offering both with a variety of gasoline and hybrid powertrain configurations driving the front wheels or all four through a continuously variable transmission in a range of trim levels starting from 2.18 million yen (equivalent to $20,952 at today's rates) to 3.4 million yen ($32,694). The Voxy is sold through Toyota's network of Netz dealerships across Japan, and the Noah through its parallel Corolla dealers. Along with the pair of video clips and the high-res image galleries top and bottom, there are plenty of details in the press release below, where you can read more about the flexible seating arrangements and all the latest tech. Just don't expect to be reading dimensions measured in cubits and construction from gopher wood.
