Hi there folks! I have a fresh trade in that needs some work that i would like to sell. It is a 2003 Toyota Corrolla CE that seems to run and drive pretty good. It is however not with out its flaws. The things is have noticed on my preliminary inspection are the following,
- Multiple body flaws (I will go in to more detail)
- Front rotors are warped really bad, car shakes badly when stopping!
- Check engine light is on for a catylitic converter code and an evap emissions code
- Rear rocker panels are rusty
- OIL PRESSURE LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY, The car runs and drives nice but the light flickers on and off, since this is a wholesale vehicle i have put zero effort in to trying to figure out the issue. Could be minor, could be major!
Back to the body, the passengers side is in excellent shape with only a minor ding or two. The drivers side front fender has a huge dent (pictured) as well as a key scratch from the front door to the rear door (pictured). The front bumper and hood are in great shape, as is the rear bumper with only one corner scuff (pictured). The rear trunk lid had a bike rack on it that put a lot of wear marks and dents on the trunk lid (pictured). The rocker panels are rusty on the last 10 inches of both rockers (pictured).
The interior is in real nice shape it was not a smokers car so it is clean with no foul odors inside of it. It is a CE so it is real basic with all manual options except for power mirrors. Everything functions just like it should with the exception of one of the little storage cubbys in the dash board that is missing.
It runs and drives down the road pretty good minus the warped rotors. As far as the oil pressure light it might be a simple fix such as a bad sensor or a dirty oil pick up, or it could be something like a worn oil pump. I have no idea what it is nor am i going to figure it out. The customer brought it to me and traded it in as soon as it started doing that and i only drove it a few miles to road test it. There is absolutly no hesitation or noise coming from the engine, it runs smooth and quiet. The light just flickers on from time to time.
BECAUSE OF THESE ISSUES THIS CAR IS SOLD AS-IS, WHERE IS!!!! THIS IS PERFECT FOR SOMEONE TO EXPORT OR FIX UP AND DRIVE. IF YOU BID ON IT, YOU BOUGHT IT. For that reason i would prefer any potential buyers to call me at 413-563-1054 before bidding, so i know you are serious. I invite anyone to come check the car out as well, as a matter of fact i would preffer that. I have all neccessary paperwork for you to register, or resell this car, there are no issues there.
CALL GREG AT 413-563-1054 WITH ANY QUESTIONS.... I AM IN WESTFIELD MA, 1 HR EAST OF ALBANY, 1.5 HOURS WEST OF BOSTON, 40 MIN NORTH OF HARTFORD, AND 15 MIN WEST OF SPRINGFIELD............
On Jan-18-13 at 08:11:19 PST, seller added the following information:
ANY BIDDERS WITH 5 OR LESS FEEDBACK PLEASE CONTACT ME PRIOR TO BIDDING, I JUST NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT SCAMMERS. SORRY FOR THE PRECAUTION, BUT I DO NOT WANT TO RELIST THIS ITEM........ I WILL ONLY ACCEPT CASH IN HAND FACE TO FACE SO DONT WASTE OUR TIME TRYING TO SCAM ME.......IT WONT WORK!!!!!

Toyota and Mazda in talks to build joint US auto plant
Fri, Aug 4 2017UPDATE: The Toyota-Mazda deal has been announced. A newer version of this story appears here. Toyota Motor Corp and rival Mazda Motor Corp are expected to announce plans on Friday to launch a joint venture and build a new U.S. assembly plant, a person briefed on the matter said. A new auto plant would be a major boost to U.S. President Donald Trump, who campaigned on promises to boost manufacturing and expand employment for American autoworkers. Japan's Nikkei reported on Thursday that Toyota would take a roughly five-percent stake in Mazda Motor Corp to develop key electric vehicle technologies and jointly build a factory in the United States. The deal could be announced as soon as Friday, the newspaper said. The person briefed on the matter, who was not authorized to speak to the media and requested anonymity, confirmed the Japanese carmakers were planning to build a large plant in a yet to be determined U.S. location and planned future joint efforts on electric vehicles. The same source declined to offer further details, however. Toyota, in a statement, said the two companies have been exploring various areas of collaboration under a May 2015 agreement. "We intend to submit a proposal to our board of directors today regarding the partnership with Mazda, however, we would like to refrain from providing further comment at this time," Toyota said in a statement issued by its U.S. operations. Mazda said in statement that "nothing has been decided yet" and added the company "will have a board meeting on this matter today. We cannot comment any further." Toyota, the world's second-largest automaker by vehicle sales in 2016 and Japan's dominant car company, has been forging alliances with smaller Japanese rivals for several years, effectively consolidating the Japanese auto sector. A new U.S. assembly plant would likely become the prize in a fierce competition among Midwestern and Southern states eager to expand manufacturing jobs. Trump in January criticized Toyota for importing cars to the United States from Mexico. The Republican president also threatened to impose a hefty fee on Toyota if it were to build its Corolla cars for the U.S. market at a plant in Mexico. "Toyota Motor said will build a new plant in Baja, Mexico, to build Corolla cars for U.S. NO WAY! Build plant in U.S. or pay big border tax," Trump said in a post on Twitter. But since January, Trump has praised Toyota for its U.S. investments.
Best cars for snow and ice in 2023 and 2024
Tue, Jan 23 2024What's the best car for snow? The real answer is "the one with winter tires." What do we mean by that? You could have the finest, most advanced all-wheel-drive system or four-wheel drive in the world, but if you're running all-seasons (the spork of tires), your fancy four-wheeler won't matter much. The odds are, any vehicle on the road running good winter tires will probably perform adequately in slippery, slushy and/or snowy road conditions. (Here's a more complete explanation of why winter tires are totally worth it). In other words, you don't really need any of the cars on this list. With a set of winter tires, countless others will do the job, and even these will be at their best with proper rubber. You can find a variety of winter tires for your car here at Tire Rack. Keep in mind that you will need a full set of four snow tires for safety and performance, no matter what you're driving. The days of your dad putting just two snows on the family truckster to get it moving in a straight line are long gone. Don't get us wrong, getting a car that performs well in snow and ice is still a worthy criteria for car buyers. According to the U.S. Transportation Department, 70% of Americans live in places that get snow and ice. And much of the country has been blasted with arctic air for much of the new year. So let's look at the cars. First, we're highlighting choices for a variety of buyers and price points. Second, we're not just considering snow; we're considering general wintery conditions people will experience driving to work or school. As such, these are all choices with advanced all-wheel-drive systems, usually with "torque-vectoring" systems that not only automatically shunt power front and back, but side to side between the rear axles. Most have extra ground clearance for getting through deep snow, and we prefer those vehicles with more responsive steering, throttles and transmissions that provide a greater sense of vehicle control in slippery conditions. Acura RDX Read our Acura RDX Review Acura's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system was one of the first to offer torque-vectoring, and besides often being touted for its ability to greatly enhanced dry-road handling, its benefits in the slick stuff can be profound. It's actually surprising that Acura hasn't leaned into this capability further by offering more rugged versions of its vehicles.
Here's how to follow this weekend's 24 Hours of Le Mans
Thu, Jun 11 2015In the pantheon of motorsports, the 24 Hours of Le Mans stands as one of the great endurance challenges to man and machine. This year's event in France already looks to be one for the ages with Porsche setting record-breaking times in practice and the competition debut of Nissan's front-engine, hybrid racer. Thankfully, there's a massive list of ways to follow this automotive attraction. Reilly Brennan, the Executive Director of the Revs Automotive Research Program at Stanford University, and a friend of Autoblog, has once again assembled a helpful couch-kit to organize many of the options. Unfortunately, the old-school way of just turning on the television might be the most frustrating way to watch Le Mans this year. Fox Sports 1 and 2 are carrying about half the race, but the coverage bounces between them seemingly at random. The broadcast begins on Fox Sports 2 at 8:30 AM Eastern ahead of the 9:00 AM start and lasts there until 12:00 PM. Things don't pick up again until 7:00 PM Eastern on Fox Sports 1 for an hour, and the channels swap back and forth more from there. The Fox Sports Go streaming app offers more, but even it stops showing the race a few times. Thankfully, streaming Le Mans is easy. If you can't dedicate 24-hours on the couch, Radio Le Mans lets you listen to audio commentary anywhere with some of the best announcers in the biz. The Automobile Club de l'Ouest, the governing body for the race, also offers an official video stream in an app for $9.99. For a really low-tech solution, the official Twitter is another choice. Brennan is keeping his list updated with coverage changes. You can also check out and download the spotter's guide (from Nissan) in the gallery above. Enjoy this year's race. If you miss anything, don't worry; expect a full report from Autoblog. In fact, editor-in-chief Mike Austin is attending Le Mans this year, so follow him on Twitter for on-the-fly impressions.
