For sale is a 1999 Toyota Corolla. Smoke free vehicle. 138,000 miles. Clean title. Has original engine and transmission. A/C and heat work properly. There are no known major problems with this car. Many parts are less than 3 years old. Tires replaced last year with Michelin's. There is over 75% tread remaining. Front and rear suspension was replaced within the last 2 years. Front and rear brakes replaced within the last year. Starter and battery replaced 3 years ago. The catalytic converter was recently replaced. The transmission was serviced regularly along with regular oil changes every 3,000 miles. The body has no rust. Was not in any major accidents. There are some scratches on the bumpers and the driver and passenger rear doors, as to be expected for a car this age from NY. The car runs and drives great. The car did not come with automatic door locks from the factory however, electric locks were installed in the front 2 doors along with a remote start system. Was a family car and was not abused. 2014 Toyota 4Runner revealed at Stagecoach Music Festival
Sat, 27 Apr 2013Toyota has just pulled the sheet off its updated 2014 4Runner at the 2013 Stagecoach Music Festival near Palm Springs, California. Toyota is the title sponsor at the festival, and claims that this is the first ever global reveal of a new automobile at a major music festival. We're also guessing this is the first time that the 4Runner has seen duty inside what looks like a vintage circus act's cage.
We can see from the photos (and the earlier teaser images) that the body-on-frame SUV has received a freshened look with new smoked light fixtures front and rear, along with a reworked front fascia and grille. The profile view seems largely unchanged, though there are new wheel patterns on offer.
The 4Runner will continue to be offered in three trims, including SR5, more luxurious Limited, and off-road-ready Trail specification. Both 4x2 and both part- and full-time 4x4 models will continue to be available, all will be powered by the same 4.0-liter 270-horsepower V6 and five-speed automatic as last year.
Toyota celebrates 30 years of 4Runner with... incentives?
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Many Americans view their 30th birthdays as significant milestones, even though the average life expectancy here is more than 2.5 times that age. So you might think Toyota would be keen to party over the 30th anniversary of its 4Runner, since most models don't even live to half that age. You can put that idea away unless you consider discounts of $500 to $1,000 something worthy of cake and kazoos, since it appears that's all the birthday SUV will get. That's right, not even a trim-and-tape special edition or so much as a sticker. We asked Toyota for comment and were told they had "No other 30th anniversary 4Runner items to announce at the time."
So, about those incentives: they climb from $500 on the SR5 and Trail editions to $750 on Premium models and $1,000 on the Limited trims. Toyota says they're available at dealerships now and will last for the entire year. There's a press release below with a little more background, and there's a sad violin playing somewhere in the distance.

Convincing a man or woman (or child, really) that they absolutely cannot live without the latest, greatest new bit of technology oftentimes takes a unique approach. In the "online film promoting the Toyota GT86" you'll see below, created by agency Happiness Brussels, men are reverse-psychologied into thinking a new sports coupe will make them more masculine by getting their loved ones to hate them. Or something like that. We think.
In any case, we suggest you watch the video below to see how much fun men can have with a GT86 - or Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ, presumably - at the expense of their significant others. Fair warning: There's a potential Not Safe For Work moment in the ad: beware of a brief male butt shot about 44 seconds in.
Marketing. Gotta love it. Unless you're married to a man. Or something like that. We think. Whatever, just watch.
