Toyota on 2040-cars

Year:1980 Mileage:32095
Location:

Glencoe, Ontario, Canada

Glencoe, Ontario, Canada

Selling my 1980 Celica convertible. Too many cars and a 2 year old daughter mean I have to reduce my collection. Incredibly straight car, sourced in California and always kept in the dry and used on dry sunny days in Ontario. Car is as straight as a die and solid in all body panels, rockers and floors. Only issue is the car needs a repaint. An amateur attempt was started hence one side looks a little more yellow than the other. It will need paint as I have tried cutting compounds and the yellow stays dull. Car starts without issue and pulls away without smoking or any rattles or knocks. All gear are fine and stops in a straight line. Inside the only criticism is that the drivers seat cushion sits up a little bit. All gauges work as seen in pictures with car running. Clock even works. Only issue is the light doesn't come on in the passenger sun visor mirror (to think they had those in 1980). Any questions or further pictures please feel free to ask. Good Luck.

Weekly Recap: Things you might not know about the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats

Sat, 16 Aug 2014

If you're an enthusiast, and you don't know that Dodge spawned another Hellcat this week, you really must have been living in cave. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is probably the biggest news for enthusiasts since the reveal of, well the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
But, there are some things you might not know or might have missed about the new Charger and Challenger Hellcats. For starters, reports that the Hellcat production would be limited to a low volume are not true.
"We have not capped the Hellcat on either the Challenger or the Charger," Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said.

Meet the Most Elegant Automobile, and it's for sale

Sat, 08 Jun 2013

Alright, so maybe "most elegant" is a bit of a stretch, but we feel safe in calling the 1992 Toyota Paseo in the video below an "automobile." High praise, we know. Still, it's clear someone loves the awkward little coupe enough to produce a hilarious video to sell the thing. Henry Floyd worked up a quick parody of the over-the-top luxury car ads we all know and loathe, and while the finished product is a little skimpy on details like price or location, it certainly doesn't hold back on the exposition.
Hell, if we didn't already have a parade of horrible ideas floating around our collective driveways, we might even be convinced to give this little heap a new home. You can check out the ad for yourself below, just don't be surprised if you find yourself with a burning desire to own a Paseo.

Toyota produces millionth truck in Texas

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

After going online in 2006, Toyota's San Antonio, Texas truck plant has just built its one-millionth vehicle, the 2014 Tundra 1794 Edition you see above. The plant originally focused on just the Tundra pickup, but the smaller Tacoma started rolling off the line there in 2010, as well.
Fittingly, the 1794 Edition (a new premium trim level for 2014) pays homage to the property on which the Toyota plant now resides - a ranch that was founded in 1794. Scroll down for the official press release for the plant's milestone, and be sure to check out the full gallery of Tundra 1794 Edition images as well.
