2003 Toyota Celica Gts Hatchback 2-door 1.8l on 2040-cars
Fredericksburg, Virginia, United States
My son and I are selling this very nice 2003 Celica GTS that has a lot of work done! He has graduated high school and moved on to other things. His vehicles are the same, he is now driving a big truck and need to sell this to pay for it (PAY ME BACK). I will list everything I know about it below, if you are in the area come by and see it, it will sell its self. This car is lowered , in great shape and even has sex appeal. The interior is like new except for the drivers seat that is torn, but could be fixed. The radio volume seems to have a mind of its own (may need radio). As for the the engine, it has that rare engine that has the advanced timing, when you drive it feel like a turbo but its not. The car just had the ground effects and bumper repainted. the front bumper is very low, must be-careful around speed bumps! Car looks fast but is not crazy fast and drives 100%, AC works, Z rated tires new and all brakes are good. We have set the reserve very low compared to the $9000 that WE have in the car.
Thanks, Jason
And much more!!! Key words: RX7, RX8, 3000GT, GTI, WRX, 300z, 350z, corvette, Supra, S2000, custom, lowerd |

Toyota recalling 11,200 Scion iQ models over faulty passenger sensors
Wed, 07 Nov 2012Toyota has announced a voluntary recall of 11,200 Scion iQ models from the 2012 and 2013 model years. According to the manufacturer, the problem with these pint-sized hatchbacks concerns the front passenger Occupant Classification System (OCS) weight sensor cables.
The OCS sensors in the front passenger seat control the operation of things like the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioner. In these affected models, the cables for these sensors located in the seat track can become damaged as the passenger seat slides forward and backward. And if the cables are damaged, the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioner may not function properly.
No injuries or crashes have been reported in conjunction with this issue.
Toyota delves into the history of its Land Cruiser
Fri, 06 Sep 2013One of the longest-produced, most widely distributed vehicles in all of automotive history is also one of its most rugged: the Toyota Land Cruiser. With 60 years of continuous production, 14 different model lines and thousands of variations of the Jeep-like sports utility vehicle, the Land Cruiser became a success worldwide and developed a cult following among enthusiasts here in the US.
We'll be the first to admit that tracing the vehicle's lineage from its humble beginnings as a prototype for Japan's National Police Reserve in 1951 to what it is today isn't an easy task, especially when one considers that the types of Land Cruisers produced traditionally have varied from market to market. For example, the Land Cruiser sold in the US is very different from the US-only 40 series Land Cruiser-inspired FJ Cruiser, which is itself different from the Land Cruiser Prado sold in other world markets.
To cover the Land Cruiser's sixty-plus year history from start to present, someone over at Toyota UK was thoughtful enough to devote a plus-size blog post to it. It's worth a read if you have a spare 10 or 15 minutes - and even if you don't, you can check out our historical gallery above. Enjoy!
This Irishman really likes the Toyota GT86
Sun, 10 Feb 2013Okay, okay - by this point in time just liking the Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, what have you) doesn't make you special. Even if you're a sort of funny sounding, funny looking Irishman, who probably isn't the most seasoned car reviewer ever, digging the GT86 is not news.
However, if, when you choose to publish your ten-minute-long review, you include exclamatory phrases about your own pubic hair, Ozzy Osborne's drug habit and "gentleman vegetable stuff," well sir, then you'll have our attention.
Don't give up on this video, available down below, after the first couple of minutes, we implore you. The silver-tongued Irishman doesn't really get warmed up until four minutes in, or so. Believe us, it's worth the wait.
