you are looking at a very nice original 1988 Toyota Celica convertible GT in very good condition. Has 162,100 original miles, 2.0 liter engine, automatic transmission, power windows with no cracks, everything works except the power top. The motor runs and it was diagnosed as low on hydraulic fluid. Top is easily put down manually by one person. NO RUST and very straight, the interior is very nice, the top is in good condition but there is a crack in the rear plastic window. It has a clean car fax and has no issues, air bags never deployed, no accidents, etc. This is a very fun little car to drive and has always been garaged. Has new wiper blades, Battery, all new tail pipes, new ignition switch, good tires. You can hop in this little convertible and drive across the country, its that sound. Toyota delves into the history of its Land Cruiser
Fri, 06 Sep 2013One of the longest-produced, most widely distributed vehicles in all of automotive history is also one of its most rugged: the Toyota Land Cruiser. With 60 years of continuous production, 14 different model lines and thousands of variations of the Jeep-like sports utility vehicle, the Land Cruiser became a success worldwide and developed a cult following among enthusiasts here in the US.
We'll be the first to admit that tracing the vehicle's lineage from its humble beginnings as a prototype for Japan's National Police Reserve in 1951 to what it is today isn't an easy task, especially when one considers that the types of Land Cruisers produced traditionally have varied from market to market. For example, the Land Cruiser sold in the US is very different from the US-only 40 series Land Cruiser-inspired FJ Cruiser, which is itself different from the Land Cruiser Prado sold in other world markets.

Fuel cells will flop outside Japan, says VW

Toyota launches new Pixis Epoch kei car in Japan
Sat, 12 May 2012Kei cars may be small in size, but they're big business in Japan. The latest arrival to the category is the little hatch you see above, the Toyota Pixis Epoch.
It's the fourth vehicle produced by the Daihatsu division but sold under the Toyota brand. As with other keis, power comes from a 660cc engine. It's mated to a continuously variable transmission driving either just the front wheels or all four. In both configurations, the Pixis Epoch features a stop-start system that helps its emissions and fuel efficiency figures come in well below even the Japanese government's stringent standards.
The whole package measures just 3,395 mm (133 inches) long, 1,475 mm (58 inches) wide and 1,500 mm (59 inches) tall, but offers a relatively spacious and utile interior, plus a tight turning radius of just 4.4 meters. Pricing ranges from 795,000 to 1.2 million yen - that's less than $10,000 (and no more than $15k). Further details in the press release after the jump.
