This Toyota Camry is a one owner car and has been in my family since new.  It was driven as a commuter car with all highway miles.  It has only 136k miles, and the engine/transmission work 100% perfectly.  It just had a full tune up at 130k and has new brakes as well!  There is no Check Engine light or any other errors on the dash.  The body of the car is in fantastic condition for its age and there are no issues with the car aside from what is noted below.  This car is beautiful and drives perfect!  You could drive this car across the country without any problem!

Known issues:

·      Occasionally, the speedometer and RPM gauge drop down to zero and do not display the proper speed/RPM. This has been happening on and off for the past few months but never really bothered us.  A new speedometer for this car is about $50 on ebay.

·      A few minor scratches and scuffs are to be expected on the car, but nothing out of the ordinary for its age.  I took closeup pics of any cosmetic imperfections with the car: small ding/scuff by passenger side rear door/quarter panel, small area of surface rust above one of the wheels (tiny).

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES. If you need more pics, please let me know.  Vehicle is being sold AS IS, and it is the buyer’s responsibility to come take a look at the vehicle or ask any questions prior to the auction ending.  Come and take a look at the car and feel free to test drive it, you wont be disappointed!!!

$300 deposit must be paid 24 hours after the auction ends, and fully payment is due in 3 days. Buyer will be responsible for Shipping. I can assist you in locating shippers are a great price.  If you have less than 5 feedback, please call me or send a message before placing a bid.  I am willing to sell to ebayers worldwide, but please check your local rules and regulations regarding shipment prior to bidding.  $175 paperwork fee will be added to the final price of the vehicle.

You could also drive this car home if you choose!  I could provide you with temporary license plates issued through my company included in the 175 paperwork fee. As long as you insure the car, I could provide you with a 21 day temporary tags. This way you could drive the car home and continue to drive it until you get permanent plates!

How Charlotte lost to Plano without even knowing it was dealing with Toyota

Thu, 08 May 2014

With Toyota set to relocate its North American headquarters to the Dallas, TX suburb of Plano following a top-secret, 100-city search, the cities that missed out can now begin asking themselves what happened during a process they apparently knew little about.
That's a particularly brutal task for Charlotte, which, according to North Carolina's Secretary of Commerce, Sharon Decker, finished second to Plano. While Toyota has been fairly open about what it was looking for in a new headquarters city - direct flights to Japan, proximity to its US production facilities, a lower cost of living, high-quality educational facilities and finding a neutral site suitable to the California, Kentucky and New York-based employees that would be relocated - it's been less open about how the finalist cities, which also included Atlanta and Denver, stacked up against each other.
The Charlotte Observer has a few ideas. Part of the problem is the distinct lack of direct flights between Charlotte and Asia. US Airways, which operates a hub at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, doesn't fly to Asia.

Shuttle-hauling Tundra finds permanent home in science exhibit

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

The idea of lifting a full-size pickup truck completely off the ground by hand might seem as likely as, say, said pickup truck towing a 150,000-pound space shuttle, but... hurray, physics! The same Toyota Tundra that towed the Space Shuttle Endeavour to its final resting place at the California Science Center is now on permanent display there as an exhibit that shows how a lever works.
Like all levers, this exhibit uses a fulcrum allowing people other than Superman to lift the 5,625-pound pickup (plus an extra 1,000 pounds for the rig). That's almost as impressive as the Tundra pulling 17 times its rated towing capacity back in October. Regardless, Toyota is once again cashing in on the publicity stunt and visitors to the science center get a live demonstration of a simple machine - we call that a win-win.

Honda Civic overtakes Toyota Corolla as America's best-selling compact

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

The battle to claim October's best-selling compact sedan title has been won by the Honda Civic. The Japanese four-door sold 27,328 units, leaving the Toyota Corolla - September's title holder - in its wake with 23,637 units sold. In terms of year-to-date sales, the Civic sits at 280,899 units, with the Corolla trailing at 257,184 vehicles.
Sitting in third place, separated by a significant gap from the leaders, is the Chevrolet Cruze with 16,087 units sold. The Ford Focus earned fourth, with 15,108 units moved out of showrooms. (It is interesting to note that while the Civic and Corolla have both enjoyed double-digit sales increases year-over-year, the Cruze and Focus have seen significant decreases during the same period.)
Sales of the Hyundai Elantra hit 14,876 units, putting it in fifth place, with the Volkswagen Jetta earning sixth place with 11,710 units. Rounding out the ten top sellers were the Nissan Sentra (8,399 units), Mazda3 (7,647 units), Dodge Dart (5,617 units) and Subaru Impreza/WRX (4,923 units). The Kia Forte (4,706 units) and Volkswagen Golf (2,249 units), eleventh and twelfth respectively, have fallen behind.
