We at Campbell Brothers Auto Sales Inc. are offering for sale this CLEAN CARFAX, NON-SMOKER, 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID 4 DOOR with a 2.4L HYBRID ELECTRIC 4 CYLINDER ENGINE and AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. This vehicle was a local trade-in and has been very well cared for and exceptionally well maintained. I sold this car to the previous owners on 01/05/09 when at the time it had 38,262 miles on it. At that time it was a one owner in flawless condition. Since the second owners have processed the vehicle it has had nothing less than great care. How can we be so sure? Because not only are the previous owners great customers they are also my neighbors, and I have seen them take good care of everything they own for the past 26 years. The car now has 146,366 miles on it. therefore it is no longer flawless but never the less still a good looking, VERY clean car. The exterior looks nice and has no major dents or scratches. There are no sighs of previous paint or body work and it comes with a clean Carfax History report. Connie (previous owner) recently hit some type of small animal which resulted in some small dents and scratches on the right quarter panel (all seen in pictures). The interior is impressively clean and is a non-smoker. As for the way it runs and performs...... it's a Toyota, expect nothing less than excellent drivability. Toyota FV2 Concept is a single-seat mood ring for the road
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Of all the vehicles Toyota brought to the Tokyo Motor Show, the FV2 might be the most creative. The minimalist single-seat concept is a glimpse at Toyota's idea of a "fun to drive" vehicle in the future.
The FV2 is essentially a pod with a diamond-shaped wheel array (what powers said wheels has not been disclosed), and Toyota says that the technology of the vehicle allows it to gauge the driver's mood and suggest possible destinations. The interaction between driver and vehicle is also displayed in an augmented reality screen on the windshield, and the car can also act as a mood ring of sorts with exterior colors and patterns that can change based on the driver's mood. We can just see it now: "Don't mess with Jim today, his car is red."

180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains
Wed, 21 May 2014If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.

The sitcom Seinfeld opened Episode 94 - the one where George Costanza buys a Chrysler LeBaron instead of a Volvo - with a bit about nameplates like Integra, Supra and Impreza. Toyota, clearly, is not exempt from choosing evocative but enigmatic names for its models, and now the Japanese automaker is taking us through the etymology of some of its nameplates.
Names like Supra may require no clarification, but what about Camry? That comes from the Japanese word kanmuri for Crown (which is, incidentally, the name of another Toyota sedan).
Yaris? According to the company, it's "an amalgamation of words from Greek mythology and German. In Greek mythology, 'Charis' was a symbol of beauty and elegance. Toyota swapped the 'Ch' with 'Ya' - German for 'yes' - to symbolize the perceived reaction of European markets to the car's styling."
