We at Campbell Brothers Auto Sales Inc. are offering for sale this CLEAN CARFAX, NON-SMOKER, 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID 4 DOOR with a 2.4L HYBRID ELECTRIC 4 CYLINDER ENGINE and AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. This vehicle was a local trade-in and has been very well cared for and exceptionally well maintained. I sold this car to the previous owners on 01/05/09 when at the time it had 38,262 miles on it. At that time it was a one owner in flawless condition. Since the second owners have processed the vehicle it has had nothing less than great care. How can we be so sure? Because not only are the previous owners great customers they are also my neighbors, and I have seen them take good care of everything they own for the past 26 years. The car now has 146,366 miles on it. therefore it is no longer flawless but never the less still a good looking, VERY clean car. The exterior looks nice and has no major dents or scratches. There are no sighs of previous paint or body work and it comes with a clean Carfax History report. Connie (previous owner) recently hit some type of small animal which resulted in some small dents and scratches on the right quarter panel (all seen in pictures). The interior is impressively clean and is a non-smoker. As for the way it runs and performs...... it's a Toyota, expect nothing less than excellent drivability. Consumer Reports says Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevy are big winners in brand perception survey
Wed, 05 Feb 2014According to Consumer Reports, the automotive brands that stand out in the minds of car buyers are, in order: Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevrolet. This news comes after the magazine polled its readers, asking them to take into account vehicle quality, safety, performance, value, fuel economy, design/style, and technology/innovation - which are the factors that car shoppers are most influenced by.
It's important to note that this award is only about perception. In other words, it's perceived quality, not actual quality. "Often, perception can be a trailing indicator, reflecting years of good or bad performance in a category, and it can also be influenced by headlines in the media," said Jeff Bartlett, Consumer Reports deputy automotive editor.
The brand that made the biggest jump in perception amongst Consumer Reports readers is Tesla, which posted an impressive 47-point gain to finish in fifth place. Subaru is also notable for finishing in the top 10, despite being one of the smaller manufacturers doing business in the US. Shuttle-hauling Tundra finds permanent home in science exhibit
Mon, 03 Jun 2013The idea of lifting a full-size pickup truck completely off the ground by hand might seem as likely as, say, said pickup truck towing a 150,000-pound space shuttle, but... hurray, physics! The same Toyota Tundra that towed the Space Shuttle Endeavour to its final resting place at the California Science Center is now on permanent display there as an exhibit that shows how a lever works.
Like all levers, this exhibit uses a fulcrum allowing people other than Superman to lift the 5,625-pound pickup (plus an extra 1,000 pounds for the rig). That's almost as impressive as the Tundra pulling 17 times its rated towing capacity back in October. Regardless, Toyota is once again cashing in on the publicity stunt and visitors to the science center get a live demonstration of a simple machine - we call that a win-win.
Toyota reveals Tokyo Motor Show concepts
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Toyota is getting ready for the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, and to tease us, the Japanese automaker has released photos and information about the concept vehicles it'll be bringing to the show. In all, there'll be five world premieres from Toyota (six if you split the Voxy and Noah minivan concepts), including some vehicles that'll be released in the near future, and others that need more time to incubate.
Let's get the world premieres out first. Toyota is a pioneer of gasoline-electric hybrids, but it's also pursuing hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicles. The clearest indication of this is the FCV concept, a hydrogen-powered sedan in the same vein as the the FCV-R that will bow at the auto show. (Read more about the FCV, here.)
Other world debuts include the FV2 concept (pictured), a unique, one-seat future vehicle that emphasizes the "Fun to Drive" philosophy; the JPN TAXI concept, a next-generation taxi concept designed with Japanese hospitality in mind; and the Voxy and Noah concepts, next-generation minivans that differ most in exterior design cues and are scheduled to launch in the Japanese market in early 2014.
