1990 Toyota Camry Dx Charcoal Gray 4 Cylinder 30+ Mpg on 2040-cars
Elgin, Illinois, United States
This 1990 Toyota Camry runs and drives great and I am asking $2700 obo. This car has 160,400 miles on it. It is my regular daily driver. This is a DX 4 cylinder model that has averaged over 30 mpg. All electric windows, door locks, rear window defogger, automatic seat belts, arm rear front and rear. This car is almost all original. Regular maintenance has been preformed on this car it's entire life. One owner car (same family) since brand new. Was originally purchased from Bredeman Toyota on Park Ridge IL. The car has an upgraded Sony radio and sounds great. This car still has the original factory spare and it has never been out of the trunk. The car comes with all the proper documentation, manuals, service manual and original keys.
CONDITION The car runs and drives great. The A/C systems has a new compressor and has been converted to 134a, however the car does not blow cold. The car has a few rust spots on the fenders in the usual spots for all Toyotas of this age. (see pictures) The car has been regularly maintained and is a NON-SMOKERS car it's entire life. Few drops of oil show up on the floor after the car sits but otherwise seems to run great. The miles have been fully documented and accurate mpg have been documented at every fill up. The exhaust system has been replace and brakes have been done 8,000 miles ago. The car is perfectly straight and has never been in an accident. This car has a lot of life left in it. |

2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid
Mon, 21 Oct 2013People, us included, make a big stink about the importance of family sedans. There's no doubt they're critical - they represent a huge slice of the market's annual sales and profits. However, despite accounting for far fewer transactions than the midsize sedan segment, the fullsize sedan is getting attention from manufacturers now that our market's entire lineup of those (slightly) smaller four-doors has turned over in the last two years or so. As most of the fullsize segment's mainstays derive a fair bit of their platform and powertrain technologies from their midsize cousins, these larger four-doors offer the potential for fatter profit margins, too. And with the newly stylish duds found on many of the industry's most successful midsize sedans, it's only right that automakers no longer think about fullsizers as big, squishy, vanilla family haulers with flat seats, vague steering and a thin layer of 'luxury' in the form of faux wood trim.
As manufacturers have again started diving into large sedans feet-first, the cars themselves have become sharper. The interiors are now of a higher quality and loaded with tech, while the exteriors have become further extensions of each manufacturer's design language. There's perhaps no greater example of this than the Chevrolet Impala and Ford Taurus, two models that evolved from subpar offerings into market leaders. This segment-wide transformation happened quite quickly, whether because of coincidental timing or because manufacturers are trying to get more out of their big cars, recognizing they account for a small portion of overall sales (just 3.5 percent of the new-car market in the first half of 2013).
The 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid is one such vehicle. We remarked on the changes to the V6 variant last year, and while we previously had a quick steer of the gas-electric hybrid, we figured the new model was worth a closer week-long look.
Toyota Tacoma X-Runner dead
Tue, 06 Aug 2013A report from last week indicated that Toyota will begin trimming models from its Tacoma lineup starting with the Regular Cab in 2015, but the popular pickup will lose its first variant even sooner than that. For 2014, the Tacoma X-Runner has been dropped, though the company's SR Package could fill the need of those looking for a sporty pickup.
The X-Runner has been around since 2005 with its lowered stance, aftermarket-look body kit and bright paint colors, all of which are offered available only on V6-powered, two-wheel-drive Access Cab Tacomas. The new SR Package sounds like it will offer a somewhat similar appearance, though, with a monotone exterior paint scheme in limited colors accented with smoked headlights, but it will only be offered on Pre-Runner and 4x4 models. Other changes being made to the 2014 Tacoma include a new wheel option with black finish, a wider variety of Entune multimedia features, and the option to have the backup camera display moved from the rearview mirror to the audio system head unit.
Toyota produces millionth truck in Texas
Thu, 19 Sep 2013After going online in 2006, Toyota's San Antonio, Texas truck plant has just built its one-millionth vehicle, the 2014 Tundra 1794 Edition you see above. The plant originally focused on just the Tundra pickup, but the smaller Tacoma started rolling off the line there in 2010, as well.
Fittingly, the 1794 Edition (a new premium trim level for 2014) pays homage to the property on which the Toyota plant now resides - a ranch that was founded in 1794. Scroll down for the official press release for the plant's milestone, and be sure to check out the full gallery of Tundra 1794 Edition images as well.
