Calif Toyota 4runner 4wd Convertible Suv Oversized Mud Tires Lifted No Reserve ! on 2040-cars

Year:1989 Mileage:229000
Location:

Up for auction is a California Survivor!

A first generation

1989 Toyota 4Runner with oversized mud tires!

A daily driver. This vehicle is being sold to make room for a pickup truck that

will replace it for my new job.  Just driven from Los Angeles County to South Lake Tahoe.

A nice candidate for a Rock Crawler. A rare color of Toyota for this year.

The vehicle just had a brake job and a new master cylinder installed by a certified mechanic.

In addition, the vehicle just had a brand new battery installed.

We have removed chipped paint from the side, about 2 feet by 2 feet.

We sanded it to bare sheet metal and then primered it.  This work was just done.

The area is ready to be repainted.

It starts every time and is reliable.  The door locks should be replaced.  I have the

ignition key and I have been just opening with the sliding glass of the convertible

hood. Locking the doors but unlocking by sliding the window open in the back. The

gas gauge is also not accurate but the odometer is and will be slightly different as

the truck will be used a bit this week. The interior is in overall good shape and

cleaned.

Overall, this is a reliable 4x4

that would make a fun off road and winter transport

or top down in the summer kind of vehicle.

Fun and highly sought after.

Please see the numerous photos and feel free to ask questions.

Please note that this vehicle is being sold, "As is and Where is". It is well used but not abused.

Please also note that the winning bidder is responsible for payment within three days.

Winning the auction is not a "marker" to come by and inspect the vehicle after the auction ends.

If you wish to inspect, please do so before the auction is completed.

I am not responsible to pay any State of California fees.  That is the responsibility of the seller to research and pay and fees

with the DMV.It is also the responsibility of the buyer to research the emission in your state.  We can make no claims or

verify that it will clear or not clear the emission of your state.I can assist with the logistics of shipping.

I can meet a carrier in Reno for you to achieve a better shipping rate.

For a prearranged negotiated fee amicable to both parties before the auction ends, I can drive the vehicle to

Sacramento or the San Francisco area or ?  Just please help by getting your plan preapproved

so that we are on the very same page.  I am in Los Angeles a lot and I am in San Jose a lot.

Full payment must be received prior to my drive to the preapproved destination.

I am describing and listing this auto to the best of my ability.  Please see my other auctions and thank your for looking!

2014 Toyota Aygo marks the spot [w/video]

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

Following the leaked pictures we showed you yesterday, we have the full battery of images and info of the all-new Toyota Aygo, in addition to our gallery of live photos from the floor of the Geneva Motor Show.
Like its cousins from Peugeot and Citroën, the Aygo foregoes a diesel engine in favor of a highly efficient gas powerplant. The 1.0-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder turns out 68 horsepower and 70 pound-feet of torque. When it hits the market, it'll be with either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed, X-Shift automated manual. The former will help the Aygo return 57.3 miles per gallon and hit 62 miles per hour in 14.2 seconds. Opting for the X-Shift variant will net drivers 56 mpg, with 62 arriving in a leisurely 15.5 seconds.
We'll admit, aside from the fuel efficiency, there's nothing terribly great about those numbers. Still, with its compact dimensions - it's only 136 inches long - and a curb weight of no more than 2,000 pounds, it should prove tossable in the bends.

Toyota nears $40B cash reserve as calls grow for new investment, payouts

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

With the April 15 tax deadline just a few months away, our US readers will be faced with a decision should they get a refund: save or spend? It seems this issue is one many of us face whenever there's a windfall, trying to decide whether we should set the money aside in an account of some sort or use it as a down payment on a new car or a trip to the Apple store. Unsurprisingly, major corporations face a similar, albeit more complex, issue.
Take Toyota, for example. With President Akio Toyoda at the helm, the Japanese manufacturer has gracefully weathered recalls and natural disasters, all while turning beaucoup profits. Last quarter, profits quintupled to 434.4-billion yen ($4.3-billion USD), according to Bloomberg. Toyota also upped its forecast for the end of fiscal year 2013 (which ends on March 31 for Japan), to a record 1.9-trillion yen (about $18.8 billion). Now, the Japanese brand is reportedly sitting on a cash pile of nearly $40 billion, leaving Toyoda-san in an envious predicament - what should the company do with all that money?
Some think Toyota should be doing something, anything with that big stack of cash.

2014 Toyota Tundra appears with revised styling, same mechanicals

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Toyota has pulled the curtain back on its 2014 Tundra, showing a truck that has gotten its most significant refresh since its launch as a 2007 model. For better or worse, however, the changes that Toyota has made to the fullsize pickup are mostly cosmetic, with the underpinnings of the vehicle staying unchanged.
The most obvious revision for 2014 is to the bluff front fascia of the truck. There's a new, taller squared-off grille decorating the Tundra's nose, along with a revised, three-part front bumper design. The optional black grille-frame strikes us as an acquired taste, to say the least, but other models, like the Limited above, is all clad in chrome. Fenders and wheel wells are more square than in the out-going truck, too. Perhaps most significant is the revised bed design, which Toyota calls "all-new," with new sheet metal on the sides, a revised tailgate and a very subtle integrated spoiler.
Inside, Toyota has given buyers some new seats and a new-look instrument panel. A backup camera (always handy on big trucks) is now standard equipment on all grades, as is Bluetooth connectivity. Blind spot monitoring is a new, optional feature as well. In all, as with the exterior mods, the changes in-cabin are far more evolutionary than revolutionary.
