2005 Toyota 4runner Limited Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
Orlando, Florida, United States
I purchased this car brand new in 2005 and have had it for over 9 years. I am selling because I am ready to get into a new vehicle. I had all the scheduled maintenance in the maintenance handbook performed on schedule and faithfully service it every 3500 miles. There is a small tear in the side of the driver's seat above the seat controls. I have only run premium, brand-name gas in the vehicle (Mobil or Chevron mostly). Most of the mileage on the car is highway mileage. I hate driving in stop and go traffic so will take the expressways everywhere I go to avoid it as much as possible. I put 4 new Michelin tires on in October, 2012. They have about 25-30,000 miles on them.
This is a great looking and running vehicle. Cold AC, heated seats, 6-disc CD player, premium JBL sound, leather seats, cruise control, powered sunroof, tilt/telescope steering wheel, dual power mirrors, all scheduled maintenance, all records, excellent condition, looks & drives great, never seen snow, no accidents, non-smoker, one owner, title in hand, very clean interior, well maintained. In near perfect condition. All scheduled maintenance, All records, excellent condition, fully loaded with all the goodies, looks & drives great, mostly highway miles, never seen snow, no accidents, non-smoker, one owner, title in hand, very clean interior, well maintained. 2 wheel drive. Contact me for a bunch more photos or any questions. |

Scion reveals iM concept ahead of LA debut
Wed, 12 Nov 2014After dropping a teaser image on us a few weeks ago, Scion has revealed in full the new iM Concept it's bringing to the Los Angeles Auto Show next week. As expected, the concept is clearly a rebadged version of the Euro-market Toyota Auris, only with some "European Racing Circuit Styling" upgrades to make it look more aggressive.
Along with the Scion logos, the five-door hatch is treated to a deeper air dam flanked by angular vents with stacked fog lamps, beefed-up wheel arches linked by widened side sills and filled with 19-inch, anthracite-finish alloys on low-profile rubber. Vented brake discs and four-piston calipers join an adjustable suspension as show-worthy equipment upgrades.
The sporty treatment continues around back with a similarly aggressive rear bumper and roof spoiler. Even the wing mirrors are replaced with narrower units. Little wonder it's all done up in a shade Scion calls "incrediblue" that looks rather similar to what sister-brand Lexus would put on one of its F-branded performance models - or for that matter what corporate ally Subaru would put on an STI hot hatches like the WRX.
2014 Toyota Corolla
Tue, 27 Aug 2013Reprising The Recipe For A Perfect Slice Of Toast
My toaster broke the other week. Halfway through the process of cooking my gourmet Pop-Tart breakfast, the thing crapped out with a small bang, leaving my delicious morning treats trapped inside. To rectify the situation, I ventured out to a big box store, located the toaster aisle, and ran a couple of questions through my mind. Do I need two slots or four? Do I need to spend more than 20 bucks on this thing? Should I just buy a toaster oven to give me a wider range of bachelor-pad cooking functionality? After no more than two minutes of contemplation, I grabbed the cheapest one on the shelf, paid and left the store. The new toaster works just fine.
This sort of unemotional shopping experience is how I suspect people decide to purchase the Toyota Corolla. It's a perfectly fine appliance, and to a good number of people in the world, the bond between a car and a driver is no more important than the connection I feel to my toaster. Does it seat four people relatively comfortably? Does it get decent fuel economy? Is it easy to drive? Reliable? Safe? The Corolla checks all of these boxes, and because of that, Toyota managed to move just under 300,000 examples of the tenth-generation car in 2012 (though that number does include sales of the Corolla-based, now-deceased Matrix) - a vehicle that, at the time, was already six years old.
Toyota GT86 turbo, convertible, sedan variants back on the table
Fri, 02 May 2014Okay Toyota, make up your mind. Figure it out. Quit playing games with our heart. Either build a bunch of variations of the excellent GT86 (also known as the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) or don't. At this point, we're just tired of the back and forth. After no shortage of denials, an Australian website is claiming that Toyota is reconsidering convertible, four-door, turbocharged and all-wheel-drive hybrid variants of the GT86. Kindly pass all the salt.
It's not that we don't want to believe the Aussies; we do. But when the story lists the same "sources in Japan" as a lot of the other denials and confirmations about GT86/BRZ/FR-S variants, well, there's a certain sense of the "Boy That Cried Wolf," here. Ignoring all that, then, what does Motoring.com.au claim to know?
Sources claim the GT86 Convertible will arrive in October 2014, while the turbocharged and hybrid sedans are slated for 2016.
