IT HAS A CLEAN CAR FAX AND ALL THE WINDOWS AND BODY PARTS, DOORS HOOD AND REAR HATCH HAS THE VIN STICKERS. THE GLASS IS ETCHED. THIS MEANS THAT THERE HAS NEVER HAD ANY PARTS OR GLASS REPLACED ON THIS CAR. EVERYTHING WORKS- WINDOWS CRUSE CONTROLL, RADIO, CD, ELECTRIC ANTENNA, SUNROOF AND 4WD. IT HAS THE LOW AND HIGH 4WD. THE PRIVIOUS OWNER DID NOT SMOKE AND NEITHER DO I. THE LIGHTER OR ASHTRAY HAS NEVER BEEN USED!!!!! I BOUGHT THIS CAR WITH ABOUT 90,000 MILES ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. I CHANGED THE TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP AT 122,000. THERE IS A STICKER ON THE TIMING COVER THAT HAS THE DATE AND MILAGE. IT IS GOOD FOR 100,000 MILES . THIS CAR DOES NOT SMOKE, OR USE OIL. I HAVE ALWAYS USED MOBIL ONE AND CHANGED IT EVERY 5 TO 7 THOUSAND MILES. THE PREVIOUS OWNER USED THE SAME OIL AND THAT IS WHAT I CONTINUED WITH. THE TRANNY IS SOOTH AND THE AIR BLOWS VERY COLD. IT HAS A CLIMITE CONTROL THAT WORKS PERFECT.
THIS MODEL CAR IS THE ONE ALL THE SCHOOL KIDS WANT. IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT COLLEGE CAR AND IT IS VERY SAFE BECAUSE IT HAS THE FULL FRAME UNDERNEATH. MOST SUVS HAVE THE UNIBODY OR HALF FRAME. IT IS RATED TO PULL 5000 POUNDS. THE ONLY THING I HAVE PULLED IS MY ATV ON A SMALL UTILITY TRAILER. IT PULLS IT LIKE IT IS NOT EVEN BACK THERE. PLEASE CALL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS. Toyota FCV puts hydrogen fuel cell twist on ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Fri, Aug 22 2014You've probably seen your fair share of Ice Bucket Challenge videos online this week, which are meant to raise money to fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often called "Lou Gehrig's Disease." Hopefully, you've seen ours. We've watched a lot of these videos, but haven't seen one that makes an alt-fuel point quite like a new video from Toyota. Julie Hamp, the CCO of Toyota North America, lost a sister-in-law to ALS last year, so for her the cause is personal. Instead of just dumping icy-cold water on her head, Hamp uses water from the FCV fuel cell vehicle parked next to her. Because, of course, a hydrogen fuel cell car emits nothing but water vapor. Toyota didn't run a lot of hydrogen through the car to collect water, it just got enough to top off the ice bucket. Using the water emissions from a hydrogen vehicle in a creative way is not a new trick. Two years ago, the California Fuel Cell Partnership made the point that you can drink the emissions (just like Mercedes-Benz did earlier this year), but admitted that "fuel cells produce about the same amount of water as gasoline vehicle – about 1/3 cup for a full day of driving." Still, for a good cause, we'll accept the mix of tap water and "emissions." Check out the video below, if you haven't had enough already. This content is hosted by a third party. Mazda3 sales off to rocky start despite massive critical acclaim
Tue, 18 Mar 2014Like just about every other auto publication we've seen, we loved the way the Mazda3 drove when we reviewed it a few months ago, but those glowing reviews apparently aren't helping its sales. The new compact may be falling victim to a sales war between the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, with the newcomer getting squeezed out by those with more established names and bigger marketing budgets.
According to Automotive News, Mazda3 sales have fallen every month since last August, and its sales are down 27 percent in the first two months of 2014. It certainly isn't helping that the entire compact segment is down five percent this year as well.
The biggest problem for the new model seems to be its price compared to rivals. Mazda is not offering the incentives that are on the hood of competitors. With the previous generation, the company offered more than $2,700 on the hood to move them out, but the current model only carries about $1,233 in markdowns, according to AN.
Toyota turning landfill gas into hybrid vehicles, indirectly
Fri, Mar 28 2014Chamillionaire certainly wasn't referring to the Toyota Avalon or Camry when he rapped about "ridin' dirty" but maybe he'll change his tune soon. That's because some of the future energy sources for the Kentucky factory that makes those two models will come from gas created from the breakdown of solid waste. So the power behind some of the production at Toyota's largest North American factory will indeed be funky. Toyota is working with Waste Services of the Bluegrass to build a network of wells at a nearby landfill in order to collect the gases. Construction of the system starts next month and will be finished by early next year. The upshot is that the system will produce one megawatt of electricity per hour, which is the equivalent to the power used by 800 houses. Last spring, Toyota said it would start producing the Lexus ES at the Kentucky plant after getting almost a $150 million offer from the state. That's because that model is expected to add 50,000 vehicles to the existing production numbers at the plant. And those production numbers are already large, as Toyota makes both the standard and hybrid versions of both the Camry and Avalon there. Mind you, Toyota's not the first to go this route for factory-energy production. In 2011, General Motors' Orion Assembly Plant started getting about 40 percent of its energy for production of models such as the Chevy Sonic and Buick Verano from methane captured from a landfill nearby. The General estimated at the time that the process would cut the company's energy costs by about $1.1 million a year. Check out Toyota's press release about the Kentucky plant and its future landfill gas below. Landfill Gas to Build Cars and a Greener Community Partnership between Toyota and local landfill turns garbage into good March 24, 2014 GEORGETOWN, Ky. (MARCH, 24 2014) – Can a car company be a vehicle for change? Toyota thinks so. The Kentucky plant that manufactures some of the greenest cars on the road, including two hybrid models, will soon be powered in part by green electricity. Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. has teamed up with Waste Services of the Bluegrass to generate power from local landfill waste, marking the region's first business to business landfill gas to energy initiative. Toyota estimates the locally-generated landfill gas will supply enough power each year for the production of 10,000 vehicles. How it Works As solid waste naturally breaks down in a landfill, it creates gas.
