This auction is for 3 Toyota 4-Runners to be sold as one package. I have two 1996 Toyota 4 Runners Limited Editions for sale. Both Toyota's are identical even in color and one 1997 Toyota 4 Runner. The 3rd 4- Runner is totaled and strictly for parts. It has a good running motor and other usable parts on it. See pictures for all three 4-Runners

The first 4 runner in the picture has a great body with the exception of the back end which was damaged slightly but my second 4 Runner has a perfect back body. I bought the second 4 Runner identical to the first one with the intentions of making one really nice vehicle and using the other one for a Toy (as both have 4 wheel drive). I have a clean title on one and a Salvage title on the other (the Salvaged title can be changed to a clean title once the body work is done). The one with the Salvage title runs and drives great just needs a bit of body work in which I have the parts. The second Toyota had some damage to the front end but was fixed with another 4 Runner body. It runs and drives but needs some minor mechanical work.

One Toyota has 220,000 miles and the other one has 308,000. The 3rd 4 Runner has a good motor as well if either of these ever need replaced.

Cold air works on both, the automatic windows work on both as well as mirrors and locks are in working condition on both. One 4 Runner has fairly new tires and rims. You can have 2 4Runners in great shape with just a little work from someone that knows what they are doing. Unfortunately, I'm a lady with very little experience and the individual that was going to help me is no longer available.

The sunroof does not work in either vehicle. They are both closed but will not open (both are stuck in the closed position).

These vehicles will need to be picked up in Northport Alabama. Both vehicles are drivable but again one has clean title and one has salvage title. Any buyer will need to make pickup arrangements for all 3 vehicles. These vehicles will be sold "AS IS" NO WARRANTY IMPLIED.

Toyota, Ford decide to end hybrid collaboration before it starts

Not all so-called Memorandum of Understanding pacts end in actual collaborations. For instance, after a two-year "feasibility study," Toyota and Ford have just announced that they will not be developing hybrid systems for use in light trucks and SUVs as previously planned, and the two automakers will instead continue to develop their own hybrid technology independently.
The would-be collaboration was first announced in August of 2011, and would have seen a rear-wheel-drive hybrid platform that would "improve the efficiency of trucks and SUVs while still allowing them to be driven in the way customers expect," according to our initial post on the topic.
Keep in mind that this announcement isn't to say we shouldn't expect hybrid pickups and SUVs from the two automakers, but that they probably aren't coming very soon - Ford says it will have a system "before the end of this decade" and we haven't heard much from Toyota on the hybrid truck front since the 2008 A-BAT Concept (pictured above) - and that they will not share any components between them (and they never have, for what it's worth).

Toyota gives dealers permission to drop Scion, shows them FR-S droptop, Juke rival first

We recently heard that Toyota could be looking to shrink its network of Scion dealerships, and now Automotive News is reporting that the automaker has officially given its dealers the green light to dump Scion without any penalties. Currently, Scion has about 1,000 dealers, yet our report from August 8 quotes an industry analyst as suggesting a healthier figure would be between 350 and 500 outlets. But before its current dealers make a decision on whether or not to get rid of the youth-oriented brand, Toyota also showed off a couple potential future products in the pipeline.
The FT-86 Open Concept shown above was revealed back in March at the Geneva Motor Show, and AN says that an FR-S convertible was driven on stage at a recent national Toyota dealer meeting in Atlanta. There has still been no definitive word one way or another as to whether the droptop model will be built, but it could be a good way to follow up to the popular FR-S coupe. Another possible future product is a subcompact crossover, which was shown in drawing form at the meeting, presumably aimed at small CUVs like the Nissan Juke and the upcoming Honda CUV based on the Fit, a model recently previewed by the automaker's Urban SUV concept.

Santa swaps his sleigh for a Ferrari-powered Toyota

A Ferrari-powered Toyota 86 is sure to garner a bit of attention, as well it should. We've been paying attention throughout this build, so it should be no surprise then that Santa did as well. He's ditched his red sleigh for the Gumout GT4586 in this video. If you've been following along, you know that Ryan Tuerck and Gumout built this completely bonkers machine that's far more exciting than some previous Japanese/Italian mash-up automobiles. Donut Media has been doing their part to document and promote every stage of the process. This new video is filled with the gratuitous amounts of lights, noise, and tire smoke that Donut is known for. We don't know the conversion from horsepower to reindeerpower, but the GT4586 should provide plenty of oomph for Santa's Christmas trek.
