For Sale 1995 Toyota 4Runner 2WD 3.0 3VZE V6.  200k miles on truck chassis, motor rebuilt approx 43k ago.  Many new or newer parts see below.  This is a project truck but a good base to start with, still takes me to work daily.  Front end is sloppy needs some work, needs new knock sensor so drives a bit sluggish due to this.  Egr trouble code is present but if you know anything about these model yr toyotas its easier to drive with trouble code than replace the $300 egr valve.  EGR doesnt hurt performance at all.  The oil pan leaks oil.  Needs new power brake booster, right now I have disconnected the booster so it is running with manual brakes currently.  Dome light needs a new bulb and the power steering pump drop a drop of fluid once in a while, I use stop leak in it and it keeps it from leaking for several months at a time.  Please any questions do not hesitate to ask.  I was going to fix this truck back up but no time anymore and i have 1 vehicle too many now so I must get rid of it.  Asking $2400 obo with a non-refundable down payment of $500 per PayPal due at auction close with balance due in CASH when you pick truck up.  I am also showing this truck locally so I reserve the right to end auction at anytime this truck sells locally as well.  Below is list of new or newer parts and approx when they were installed.  Please look closely at pics, there is a tear in drivers seat and some light body damage on drivers side due to hitting a deer.  All is pictured, again please ask any questions I will be as specific as possible or i can get you more precise pics of a certain area if you need!!

2015 Toyota Tundra Bass Pro Shops Off-Road Edition a Gulf-State exclusive

Sat, 27 Sep 2014

Americans certainly have a fondness for pickup trucks with the Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado frequently being among the top sellers each month, and that attachment is famously strong in the Lone Star State. We already saw Chevrolet unveil its Colorado Sport concept at the State Fair of Texas. Not to be outdone, Toyota debuted its new the 2015 Tundra Bass Pro Shops Off-Road Edition there, as well.
All of the Tundras use a 4x4 CrewMax SR5 configuration with the Tow Package, and they all come with Toyota's 5.7-liter V8 with 381 horsepower and a six-speed automatic gearbox. What actually sets these vehicles off as the Bass Pro Shops special edition is the 20-inch matte black wheels, tubular side steps, a spray-on bedliner, stainless steel exhaust tips and fender flares. To promote the connection with the store, there are Bass Pro Shops-branded floor mats and company decals on the bed. Of course, pickups are meant to get used, and to make sure of that, buyers also receive a package containing fishing, hunting, camping or marine gear worth about $1,000.
The special edition trucks will only be available in the Gulf States of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas beginning this October, and they'll carry a price of $43,975.

Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.
