1987 Sammy with a turbo wow! This baby has a turbo and can do 80 mph with the 1.3 It has 6.1 transfer case and stock gears in axles with 33" tires this thing crawls. has a spring over front and rear and has added leafs to the front so they dont droop like every other sammy. I have the stock exhaust manifold if you would rather have a slow sammy. I just got a new cat for it and put the fuel injection on so it should pass smog with flying colors. It does not have a back seat but the two front bucket seats are in great condition.Needs the glove box door when i got it it was gone. Just never got around to getting one. Tires are about 60-70 percent tread. It has a few dents and dings and a big one on the drivers front side. doors have been modified to come off during the summer. This thing is a blast to drive dont let it get away there are very few of these left and there are almost no special editions left. this is the first time iv ever seen one. this doesnt have ac put i have the parts so you can make it have it. also it has a brand new top. Suzuki reopens India plant post-riot with police outnumbering workers

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

Suzuki's plant in Manesar, India builds cars for Australia, specifically its Alto small car. Or at least they were building cars before violent worker riots forced the factory to close. The plant has been idled for five weeks as a result of worker violence that led to the death of one manager and 95 injuries. The riot was spurred over a labor dispute - specifically, a gulf in salaries between temporary workers and their salaried counterparts who earn triple the contract workers' wages.
According to reports, on Tuesday, the factory re-opened with more than 1,200 police officers stationed around the plant. The staff of actual workers at the plant numbers just 75 currently, meaning the police force greatly outnumbers Suzuki employees.
The number of employees will eventually grow to 300, and the officers will run in shifts of 100 at a time, but the initial disparity of workers to police is meant as a show of force to the more than 500 permanent and 500 temporary workers who were found to be involved in a July 18 riot.

This is the facelifted Suzuki SX4 that we won't get

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

The car you see above is, according to China Car Times, the facelifted Suzuki SX4 crossover. We've always had a soft spot for the SX4, so the fact that it's finally getting a significant update makes us a wee bit sad - after all, Suzuki just announced late last year that it's leaving the US market, so we'll never get this upgraded little 'ute on our shores.
Changes we can see include aggressively resculpted lighting units, interesting mold lines on the front bumper cap, redesigned air intakes and unique trim fillets on the doors.
At least we can take solace in the fact that there apparently aren't any significant alterations under the new bodywork, so our crop of used SX4s should be just as capable out on the road. In China, Suzuki's 1.6- and 1.8-liter four-cylinder engines are expected to carry over to the new year, along with the current model's CVT and manual drivelines.

Volkswagen drops "GTi" lawsuit against Suzuki

Tue, 02 Oct 2012

Way back in 2004, Volkswagen took umbrage with Suzuki being granted permission to use the nameplate "SWIFT GTi" for a performance variant of its small-car offering (2012 equivalent seen here). Now, eight years and surely some very steep legal bills later, VW has finally dropped its claim against Suzuki.
The General Court of the European Union stated, back in March of this year, that Suzuki's GTi registration could not be confused with VW's "Golf GTI." Volkswagen had appealed that ruling, though has now reportedly called off the dogs. In fact, Germany's Die Welt reports that the appeal has been dead for several weeks now.
This news comes amongst continued arbitration acrimony between the two automakers, all revolving around VW's forced divestiture of nearly 20-percent stake it purchased in Suzuki some two years ago.
