A change in circumstances forces the reluctant sale of an excellent, fun and fast. Factory SPT air intake and 3" cat back, combined with new Cobb downpipe and Cobb Accessport give extra 25wheel hp and similar torque increase. Adjustable Eibach swaybars f/r car even more composure. Stainless steel brake lines all round improve on excellent stock set-up. Hawk Performance pads front and rear with lots of life. The Accessport also acts as a diagnostic tool and will be sold with the vehicle and many other spares, including original downpipe and full set of all-weather tires with 50-60% tread left and a spare stock cat back. This car has been upgraded carefully to a level of performance tailored for longevity and reliability after considerable research and talking to experts of the model. It is an honest example, meticulously maintained by LIC Motorsports for fun road trips and occasional HPDE since October. It performed flawlessly over 3 road course events, one at Laguna Seca and two at Thunderhill. This is a very practical and capable sports sedan for all seasons. Synthetic oil changes every 3,000 miles throughout its life. Major 60k spark plug service performed by LIC last Fall. Bought it from a 77 year old from Napa, who had bought it from new and cherished it. Original bill of sale/sticker from Subaru comes with the car! Preventative maintenance bills for $0000s since last September! The bad: Normal dings and scratches for car of this year Kerbing on all alloys I'd like this reluctant sale to go to a good home for a fair market price. Bid away, reserve price is very reasonable |

2014 Subaru WRX and STI pricing announced
Wed, 07 Aug 2013As the sun prepares to set on the third-generation Subaru WRX, Subaru has released the pricing for the 2014 WRX and WRX STI. With redesigned versions of both cars due out next year, prices for the current car have risen by just $200 across the entire 2014 lineup resulting in new starting MSRPs of $25,995 for the WRX and $34,495 for the more powerful WRX STI (*not including destination).
The destination charge has also crept up for the 2014 WRX and WRX STI models climbing slightly from $770 to $795. A final pricing adjustment for this bodystyle's send-off year is that the optional navigation system went from $1,000 in 2013 up to $1,100 for 2014. Scroll down for the full model pricing breakdown, and keep a lookout for the all-new 2015 WRX and WRX STI, which we'd expect to see in production form in the coming months.

Scion testing updated FR-S
Thu, Sep 17 2015It looks like Toyota is preparing a mid-cycle update for its critically acclaimed GT86, known here in the US as the Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ. As far as updates go, this one looks to be rather average. Hidden behind the camouflaged front and rear ends, we have new headlights and taillights, which according to our spies looked to be of the LED variety. We wouldn't be shocked to see the GT86 get LED taillights, although fitting the top-of-the-line headlights seems less likely. Supporting that position are the images we have of the actual headlights in action, which don't look quite bright enough to be full LED units. Instead, we'd expect some new form of running light, perhaps with bi-xenon low beams. Aside from the lamps, the front bumper gets a larger, more prominent lower intake, while the rear end sports a redefined bumper that houses larger dual exhaust tips. The size of the spoiler has been increased, too. According to our spies, we should also expect powertrain enhancements – which we can only hope means more power – as well as upgrades to the interior of the GT86. While it's possible that the updates being tested in Germany could be exclusive to the European market, that seems unlikely. We'd expect the same new enhancements to at least find their way to the Scion, if not its Subaru-badged twin. Check out the full battery of spy photos up top. Related Video:
Subaru, Toyota refute reports of BRZ, 86 demise
Fri, Feb 1 2019After news broke of an anticipated Japanese report telling that the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ twins were not long for this world, both carmakers have denied the cars' successors have been canceled. Carscoops reports that both Toyota and Subaru have stated they are developing next-generation cars. As a Subaru USA spokesman told Carscoops: "We do not endorse this report coming from Japan's Best Car. ... We are moving ahead with a next-generation Subaru BRZ, but have no further details at this time." The website also reported a similar statement from Toyota. With the models getting long in the tooth and no test mules having been spied, doubts are not unwarranted — remember just how long Toyota teased the fifth generation Supra before its 2019 debut. More information is not yet available, or whether the two brands will still collaborate to bring the new-generation coupes to the market, but for Toyobaru fans this might be grounds to breathe a sigh of relief. That would also mean, that if the hinted MR-2 revival is based on solid ground, there will be a full "Three Brothers" Toyota sports car portfolio for sale in the next decade. With the Supra offered also as a four-cylinder in Japan, it will be interesting to see if Toyota will retain the 86's current, slight power advantage over the Supra's 197-horsepower variant or respect the status of the bigger brother.
