Unfortunately it is time to let go of my Subaru due to returning back to school. I will try to be as descriptive as possible with the ad and if anything is not clear or not answered please do not hesitate to ask.
I purchased this car back in about June of 2013 from the original owner. I bought the car with a rod knock and ended up swapping in a hybrid set up. i bought a 704 casting Sti short block of craigslist and had the block lightly honed. Manley forged "true" drop in pistons were put in (3 A and 1 B if i remember correct) along with ACL race bearings. I had the 2.0 heads sent to a machine shop here and had them completely torn down, cleaned, and inspected. The heads were then CNC machined to match the Sti block. All new valves and guides were installed upon reassembly along with a light polishing. Heads were put back on the block with ARP head studs. All Subaru gaskets were used for long block reassembly as well as a Gates racing timing belt. This motor now has about 5000 miles on it and runs amazingly.
Now for a list of all the other mods

Blouch dominator 2.5 XTR turbo
Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors
Walbro fuel pump
Perrin turbo inlet
K&N Typhoon intake
Invidia downpipe
Greddy Ti-c catback
Sti top mount (the MRT i had on previously cracked)
Kartboy short shifter and bushings
Exedy clutch
STi steering wheel
Prosport digital Evo gauges (volts, wideband, and boost)
Polk DXI sub
Orion component speakers

All tuning was done by Steve Pulzone. Its making about 330whp/350wtq conservatively and runs AMAZING. Very fast and a blast to drive.
The car does have normal wear and tear for a 9 year old car. Some minor dings and light wear on the driver seat. There are a couple very tiny burn marks on the seat from the previous owner. I do not smoke and the car has no odor. Also the handle for glove box is mission but still functional and the rear cup holder is broken. The car will also come with the stock shift knob which is also a little worn.
I also just put 2 new front tires on (yokahoma avid envigor), new front pads and rotors, and had it aligned less than 200 miles ago. Also just passed inspection for NJ.
Thank you for looking and if there are any questions please ask freely.

Subaru XV runs over dog in Russian ad, but in a funny way

Sat, 26 Apr 2014

In case you're wondering, no, the woman didn't actually hit the dog. This is just a commercial, and a fairly clever one after you get over the perceived canicide, that's meant to show off the desirability of Subaru's lifted Impreza wagon, the XV Crosstrek.
We'll try not to spoil it for you, because it is a fairly humorous piece, but you have to make sure to watch it from start to finish. The found-footage angle of it, which sort of presents it with the same quality as a Russian dashcam video, just adds to the video's ridiculous premise.
We aren't sure if this is an actual ad from the Russian arm of Subaru, as it seems to be posted from an independent account with only one video to its credit. Still, have a look below, and let us know what you think.

Drive looks at a pair of STI-ified Subaru Impreza RS Coupes

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

Among tuners, the legions of Subaru fans are hard to top, displaying all the fanaticism of English soccer fans and a dedication to their vehicles that borders on obsessive. These are compliments, by the way. In the latest video from Drive, Matt Farah takes a look at a pair of very special Imprezas - early Impreza 2.5RS Coupes that have had some serious heart transplants.
The first, a traditional blue model, sports the 2.5-liter, turbocharged flat-four from the 2004 WRX STI, which is good for around 300 horsepower. The other Impreza is a bit more hardcore - the engine is a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the JDM WRX STI, which we suppose makes it more of an Impreza 2.0RS Coupe. Besides the different engines, both cars represent the unique ideas and style of their owners.
The 10-minute video explores this, digging into why people tune, and how it's a reflection of their own personal driving style and character. Take a look below for another fun vid from the team at Drive.

2013 Subaru Outback Limited

Wed, 09 Jan 2013

Subaru has given the 2013 Outback a host of detail changes and updates, though you'd hardly know from looking at it. The mild exterior changes mostly go unnoticed, and if you're comparing on a numbers basis, the new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is bang-on what the old engine would do. The biggest news is EyeSight, Subaru's new stereo camera-based system that drives lane-departure warning, active cruise control, automatic emergency braking and forward collision alert functions.
The 2013 Outback spent some time in my driveway, and as far as jacked-up wagons with off-road cladding go, this is one of the most affordable of the lot. That doesn't mean it's cheap; the Outback I tried was a Limited model with moonroof, navigation, EyeSight, leather and CVT added on. That takes the Outback from its roughly $25,000 starting point and adds nearly $10,000, landing solidly in the mid-$30,000 range. Still, against its most natural competitors like the Volvo XC70 and Audi A6 Avant, the Outback is a better value.
