Refreshed 2015 Subaru Impreza priced from $18,195*

It was just a few weeks ago that Subaru unveiled its refreshed 2015 Impreza with refinements like a tweaked front fascia, upgraded infotainment system, standard rearview camera, slightly better fuel economy and other goodies. The Japanese automaker has finally decided to tell us what all of this new kit costs, and it actually hasn't increased too much over last year.
A base model 2015 Impreza 2.0i sets back buyers $18,195 for the four-door sedan or $18,695 for the five-door hatch (*not including $795 destination and delivery on all models). All of those prices are $300 more than the 2014 model year.
Moving up to the Premium trim requires $20,995 for the sedan or $21,495 for the five-door and adds 16-inch wheels, heated seats, heated mirrors and a windshield wiper de-icer. The Sport Premium pack, offered exclusively on the hatch, goes further with features like body-color side sills, 17-inch wheels, foglights, and more for $20,995 with the five-speed manual or $21,995 with the CVT.

Subaru recalls certain 2017-2019 Impreza and Crosstrek models

Subaru will begin two recalls covering hundreds of thousands of vehicles on December 13 for engine-related issues. The first recall covers 466,205 vehicles and includes 2017-2019 Imprezas and 2018 and 2019 Crosstreks. This recall is for an Engine Control Module that could continue to power the ignition coil after the engine is shut off. That could result in a short circuit and blown fuse. Dealers will update the vehicle's software to fix the issue, and some vehicles may also need their ignition coils replaced. The second recall applies to 2017-2018 Impreza and 2018 Crosstrek models totaling 205,000 vehicles. Certain models are equipped with aluminum Positive Crankcase Ventilation valves that can come apart. If that happens, the separated components could potentially enter the engine and cause a loss of power while driving. Dealers will inspect and replace the PCV valve if necessary, unless the separated bits can't be found, in which case the engine will be replaced, free of charge. 2015 Subaru WRX teased ahead of LA debut

After bringing a seriously hot concept to the New York Auto Show earlier this year, Subaru will finally reveal the production 2015 WRX at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. And while we've seen spy shots of the hotter Impreza (including the winged STI variant), Subaru has now released this teaser image, showing the bulging, scooped 'Rex that's nearly ready for its world debut.
What we can see is a car that's clearly been toned down from the conceptual version - we aren't surprised, really. But it appears that the added aggressiveness over the standard Impreza will make for a pretty hot-looking little sedan. Of course, WRX models have never exactly been pretty cars, and we don't expect this one to be, either. No matter - assuming this car follows in the footsteps of WRXes past, it should still be plenty good.
Subaru hasn't released any details about the WRX as of this writing, but again, we don't expect it to stray too much from the formula we know. Expect a turbocharged boxer engine underhood, all-wheel drive, and - hopefully - a manual transmission. Rumor has it the WRX and STI will lose their hatchback variants and go sedan-only for the 2015 model year, but we'll have to wait until the official LA debut to know that for certain. Stay tuned.
