Payments: A deposit of 500.00 by Cash (in person) (non-refundable) must be paid within 24 Hours of the close of the Auction. If payment is made by cashier's or personal check, we will hold all titles for 10 days or until funds have cleared. Taxes and Fees: "Buyer" is responsible not only for knowing their own states' laws regarding taxes and fees, but also remitting the proper taxes, fees, and documents for their state. All taxes and fees must be paid in full in order for the vehicle to be titled and registered. All prices are plus tax, title and lic. Buyer is responsible for $398.00 dealer doc fee. Title Information: Vehicle titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments of up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. Finalizing Your Purchase: Winning bidder MUST communicate with us by e-mail or phone within 24 hours of the end of the auction to make arrangements to complete the transaction. Fuji Heavy Industries changes name to Subaru Corp. in 2017
Fri, May 13 2016Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. plans to celebrate its centennial by changing its name to Subaru Corporation on April 1, 2017, in a move that emphasizes the company's automotive business. The change is pending approval at the company's shareholder meeting on June 28. "The purpose of this shift is to further accelerate our efforts to enhance the Subaru brand and achieve even greater growth for Subaru as a distinctive global brand in the automotive and aerospace industries," the company said in a statement. The company forecasts its global vehicle sales will top 1 million for the first time in 2017. Fuji traces its roots to the founding of the Aircraft Research Laboratory, which later became Nakajima Aircraft Co., in 1917. The Fuji Heavy Industries name was launched in 1953, and the core auto business began under the Subaru name in 1958. Though Subaru is a well-known car brand, it is the Japanese name for the Pleiades star cluster, and it serves as a symbol of the six sibling companies that formed Fuji in 1953. It currently plays in a wide range of sectors, including aerospace and industrial products. Sun, Feb 14 2016Colin McRae continued entertaining the fans for years after retiring from competing full-time in the World Rally Championship – though sadly not for enough of them. His last public appearance was at the 2007 Goodwood Festival of Speed, driving the car you see here to the crowd's delight. And now it could be yours. Though it may look mostly like any ordinary Subaru Impreza WRX STI, this is a full-on S12B rally machine. Petter Solberg drove it for the factory Subaru World Rally Team throughout most of the 2007 World Rally Championship, scoring two podium finishes. That would make it desirable enough as it is, but then McRae drove it up Lord March's front lawn (see the video below) to cement its place in history. It was the last time McRae drove in public before he died in a helicopter crash near his home in Scotland just months later. The vehicle has since been stripped down to its shell and completely rebuilt to showroom condition. It has only put on a little over 200 miles since the engine was rebuilt, and the clutch was replaced just 50 miles ago. It has new seats and harnesses, fire extinguishers, brake discs and pads, the suspension has been fully rebuilt, the wheels powder-coated afresh.... top-notch, in other words. C&M Motors out of Omagh, Northern Ireland, has it listed on RallySales.com with an asking price of GBP159,500 – equivalent to just over $230k at current exchange rates. That would put it in contention as one of the most expensive Subarus we've ever seen, rivaling the $238k which Sports Car Market records as having been paid for another ex-McRae Impreza just this past October.
