I ordered this Outback new in 2010 with every available option excluding the navigation system.  I opted out of purchasing the navigation system after reading poor reviews of the system in Consumer Reports. The car arrived later than promised so the dealer provided a Subaru Gold Plus Warranty which is transferrable to the new owner. The warranty is in effect for 5 years and 60, 000 miles.  The OEM Continental tires were terrible so I replaced them with Pirelli P4’s at 8, 370 showing on the odometer (the Pirelli warranty covers the tires to 85,000). The car has an OEM installed trailer hitch; but, I’ve never used it. I also purchased the OEM compartment separator and ski rack which are also unused.  There is an outstanding recall for the puddle lights (which work fine), nevertheless, I’ll schedule a service appointment per the recall notice.  The car currently has 25, 600 miles showing on the odometer; however, it is my daily driver (3.5 miles each way to work) sothe buyer can expect the car to have around 26,000 miles showing upon purchase.  In sum, a low mileage 2010 Outback Limited 3.6 that has been maliciously cared for. $23, 500 firm. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have additional questions or concerns.  There is a current lien at Peachstate Federal Credit Union (Suwanee Georgia). Payment must be verified before I will release of the car to the new owner. I’m willing to ship the vehicle; however, the buyer will be responsible for costs associated with shipment.

Subaru boosting US capacity thanks to strong sales

Sun, May 10 2015

It is very, very good to be Subaru right now. The company is rolling, with its global operating profits increasing 21 percent last quarter. While part of that is due to favorable currency conditions, the simple fact is that Subaru is selling a hell of a lot of cars, particularly in North America. The company's North American branch is expected to hit its sales goal of 600,000 units per year five years ahead of schedule, after moving 570,000 units in the recently completed fiscal year (remember, the Japanese fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31). Last quarter alone, Subaru NA saw a 12 percent increase in sales, significantly more than either the company's home market or the increasingly vital Chinese market, where sales declined by one and 14 percent, respectively. With such promising results, it's no surprise that Fuji Heavy Industries President Yasuyuki Yoshinaga announced plans to bump up production at the company's Indiana factory. Yoshinaga-san is pushing for annual capacity of 394,000 units by the end of calendar year 2016, Automotive News reports, adding that inventory levels in the US are too low. "If only we had more cars, we could be selling more," Yoshinaga told AN during a news conference. FHI's previous plans for the factory were much less aggressive. Originally, production would be expanded to 328,000 units by 2017, AN reports, with an eye towards a full 400,000 units per year by 2021. With 394,000 rolling out of the Lafayette, IN factory by next year, though, it's clear how keen Subaru is to take advantage of such strong demand. Subaru to return to Isle of Man with 2015 WRX STI hoping to set new record [w/videos]

Fri, Apr 18 2014

This is what it looked like when Mark Higgins set the lap record at the 37.75-mile TT Mountain Course on the Isle of Man in 2011 in a Subaru WRX STI. And it will probably look much the same when Higgins returns to the chunk of land in the Irish Sea to with the aim of breaking his record, set at an average speed of 115.36 miles per hour, but he'll do so in a 2015 WRX STI. As in 2011, he'll drive a mostly stock US sedan fitted with a roll cage, race harness, fire suppression system and upgraded springs and dampers. We're sure he'll be hoping to avoid a repeat of "The biggest moment of my life," though. There's a press release below with more information on the coming attempt, including dates, and we've included a video of that "moment" as well as one of the whole record run. Godspeed, Mr. Higgins. SUBARU TO DEBUT NEW 2015 WRX STI AT THE ISLE OF MAN TT COURSE AND ATTEMPT NEW FASTEST LAP Thursday 17th April 2014 -- Subaru of America, Inc. announced today that Subaru will return to the fabled Isle of Man TT Races and attempt to beat its own fastest car lap time. The current record of 115.36mph for the iconic 37 3/4 mile TT Mountain Course was set three years ago by Mark Higgins in a (2011) Subaru WRX STI. Higgins will return to drive the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI. The car Higgins will drive is a stock U.S.-spec 2015 WRX STI, with the exception of a roll-cage, race harness, fire suppression system and modified springs and dampers to handle the sustained high speeds of the course. Subaru will also return as a partner with the Isle of Man, renewing its sponsorship of the race. "We are very excited to return for another attempt of the TT course and to be the official car of the TT," said Dominick Infante, National Manager of Product Communications, Subaru of America, Inc. "The Isle of Man is paradise for anyone who appreciates motorsport and there is nothing like the TT road course anywhere else." In his previous attempt on the course, Higgins created one of the most memorable race videos when he had a self-described "moment" at the bottom of Bray Hill at 150 MPH. The video has received almost 10 million views via various media outlets.
