2005 Subaru Outback Xt Turbo Limited Legacy Gt Wagon Manual 5spd Only 68k Miles on 2040-cars
Logan, Utah, United States
|  This is one very special extra low mileage Subaru. This is the Outback XT
with the 2.5 Turbo engine, limited slip differential, manual
transmission, and Limited package with all options. It is a one owner
clean title low mileage car that is completely stock with no
modifications.  It has been adult owned and driven. All maintenance including
belts has been completed. Original window sticker from factory is
included. This beautiful wagon has a glass panoramic sunroof, black
leather, heated seats, heated windshield, heated mirrors, etc. It has
dual zone climate control and a 6 cd in dash changer and auto dimming
compass mirror. Includes the MOMO steering wheel option and
side/curtain airbags. The tires are nearly new Michelin Defenders. Has
the factory rear all weather cargo mat and sliding cargo cover. I will
also include the factory Subaru roof rack with cross bars and Thule ski
rack.   Also has the tow/hitch package for use with bike racks.  There are no tears, stains,  or funny smells, and it comes from a
smoke and pet free home. This car is amazing! Is this Subaru perfect? No, it is nine years old so although it is in amazing condition, there are small signs of use. Some of the notables are the plastic interior trim piece that have some of the silver and black scuffed away a bit from use. The exterior has some hard water spots on it that could use a good solid detailing. It also has a small paint scrap on the front bumper by the passenger fog lamp (see pic). So in summary, this car is awesome but is not museum worthy. It is a clean history, clearly loved, very very exciting car to drive. Payment A $500 down payment is due within 24 hours of auctions end and full payment is due within 3 days. I prefer Paypal for the deposit and the remainder should be done in person. Email me with questions and we can work out a plan. Shipping I am located in Logan, UT. It is approximately an hour and a half from Salt Lake City International airport. I will deliver the car within 30 miles or work with you to get the car to a shipping destination if you need. Again, please email me before hand to work out a plan. Bybee Specialty is a very small boutique dealership that specializes in ultra clean, low mileage, clean title cars. There are never any dealership fees, doc fees, undercarriage coating or any of that other unnecessary junk. |

Subaru Ascent crossover's roofline revealed
Tue, Nov 21 2017Just recently, Subaru announced that the new Ascent three-row crossover would be revealed at the L.A. Auto Show. Along with the announcement came a teaser that didn't reveal much of anything. Now Subaru has released a second teaser, shown above, that is significantly more generous. The teaser gives us a solid look at the roofline and greenhouse of the Ascent. In general, it looks very much like a taller, more squared-off Outback roof, particularly at the back. But it doesn't quite look as upright as the Forester. The top of the front fender has a more pronounced shoulder over the wheel arches than either of those Subarus, too. Based on past spy shots, we're expecting the rest of the Ascent to continue the "big Outback" look. Expect a similar hexagonal grille and chiseled sheet metal as the Outback and the rest of the Subaru line. We'll get our complete look at the new crossover on November 28 at the L.A. Auto Show. Common Nissan Maxima vs. Subaru Legacy breakdowns
Tue, Mar 29 2016The Nissan Maxima and Subaru Legacy are both popular sedans. Similarities can be seen in price, styling, and performance. What are some common repair problems seen in each model? When do they occur and how much do they cost to fix? What about how to pay for car repairs? Let's find out. Check Engine Light Both Maxima and Legacy owners dread the appearance of this little light. In the Nissan, it's most likely a failed ignition coil. This part transforms the car battery voltage into a higher voltage required for starting. This problem appears more often in Maximas with over 140,000 miles. The cost to replace the ignition coil runs around $400, parts and labor. The check engine light on the Subaru Legacy is more often due to a failed oxygen sensor. The O2 sensor measures the oxygen level in the exhaust and can affect fuel consumption. This part fails more frequently in models with over 110,000 miles. The repair costs around $200. Legacy Sound System Problems It's not uncommon for the Legacy to have sound system failures at 140,000 miles or more. The speakers might not work or only function intermittently. Hitting a bump might also cause the radio to shut off. Repair costs here can vary, but the typical charge is around $600. Nissan Check Engine Light Part 2 The Nissan check engine light also may appear due to oil leaking from the camshaft position sensor. Difficulty with stalling and acceleration might occur as well. The repair costs around $250 and is more frequent in models with over 104,000 miles. Big-Ticket Items Some repairs are especially costly. In Maximas with over 120,000 miles, the power steering pump may begin to malfunction. This produces a clunking or knocking sound when driving over uneven terrain. Steering might be affected with abnormal noises heard when turning the steering wheel. A Nissan Maxima power steering pump replacement costs around $1,250, parts and labor. Now, if you begin to feel your Legacy vibrating or shuddering at around 116,000 miles, it may be a transmission problem. It's more noticeable when the car shifts gears. Legacy transmission repair can be expensive, costing up to $2,000 or more. Even more costly is a Subaru Legacy head gasket failure, seen more often at 110,000 miles or more. AC malfunction, fluid leaks, and engine overheating can occur when the head gasket fails. The repair costs are around $3,000.
What grownups drive (fast) | 2017 Subaru Forester 2.0XT Touring Review
Mon, Apr 10 2017If you look at the 2017 Forester XT Touring and don't notice the changes compared to the 2016 model, we won't blame you. They're subtle. The naturally aspirated models get a new front bumper that matches the surrounding body color, but the turbo model we drove still has the black gap in the middle. The grille gives up the wide mesh look for a pattern that subtly accentuates the Pleiades badge. Look into the updated Forester's eyes, though, and you might see a new spark of beauty, with a redesign that prominently features a surrounding strip of LEDs. There's also a new color; our test vehicle came in the new-for-2017 Sepia Bronze Metallic paint, a tasteful brown(-ish) that might let you get away with going longer between washes. On the inside, this Forester had the new Saddle Brown leather interior exclusive to the Touring trim. It's the rich sort of brown that reminds one of a rustic but well-appointed hunting lodge, where one would expect to catch a whiff of pipe tobacco and whiskey. It just smelled like a normal car, though, at least before we got in it. Touring spec also offers up a heated steering wheel and seats, the automotive equivalent to a chair in front of the fireplace. Most touch points are attended to with sturdy-feeling materials, and the most important one – the wheel – feels grippy and comfortable without being overwrought. The front seats are firm but comfortable, with an upright seating position. They're a bit reminiscent of those moderately expensive high-back office chairs, except in this case, the office rolls around with the seat. Sitting behind them isn't bad, either, as they're shaped in a way that carves out extra room for the knees. The door openings are large enough to make ingress and egress an easy task, which is a merciful thing, especially when wrestling a car seat into the back. As for our own rear-facing kid carrier, it fits in the Forester just fine, but, when clipped in the passenger side, means the front occupant is just one click closer to the dash than they'd be ideally. Their knees won't be crunched into the glove box, though (that's a position some of us have learned to live with in other cars with a rear-facing car seat installed). The view from the driver's seat is exceptional. Tall, wide windows let you keep track of everything that's going on around you. They also bring in a lot of light, and piloting the Forester is a bit like driving a greenhouse on wheels.
