Subaru Outback Legacy 4wd New Snow Tires, Ski Rack, A/c, New Battery, No Reserve on 2040-cars
Stateline, Nevada, United States
Up for auction is a 1999 Subaru Outback Legacy AWD Wagon!
A daily driver, even at this moment. This vehicle is being sold to make room for a pickup truck that will replace it for my new job. It has owned and maintained for about four years by us. This car is currently registered in the State of California and has a clear title and passed emissions. New Tires within the past 2,000 miles. They are snow tires used all season with good bite. The vehicle had a tune up recently including new plugs and points. For the past four years, the transmission has shifted fine but when floored in can be hesitant in the final gear and the fire forward. This is a common Subaru issue but with calm acceleration, the vehicle shifts into its final gear fine. This phenomenon has been constant and has not changed for the past three years or 40,000 miles. The vehicle will go through about one quart about every 2,000 to 3,000 miles. This is a common rear seal issue of the Subaru. The mechanics all said, if you watch it, i t will be fine or you can get the seals done for$600 to $800. I have opted not to do this and you may have it done. The interior is in overall good shape. Cruise Control and Air Conditioning are fine. AWD works fine. The radio and cassette works fine. Electric mirrors work fine. The driver's side mirror was removed by a large adult deer and then reaffixed with auto glue and tape. Also a chip in the front window that was repaired by a mechanic who put a circle around it. Very small, please see the photo. Heater works fine. Car is still being used. Expect a few hundred more miles on the car before the pick. Overall a reliable daily driver that runs well in ice and snow and keep you cool with good a/c. Please see the numerous photos and feel free to ask questions.
Please note that this vehicle is being sold, "As is and Where is". It is well used but not abused. Plenty of dings and scratches but very reliable. Please also note that the winning bidder is responsible for payment within three days. Winning the auction is not a "marker" to come by and inspect the vehicle after the auction ends. If you wish to inspect, please do so before the auction is completed. It is also the responsibility of the buyer to research the emission in your state. We can make no claims or verify that it will clear or not clear the emission of your state. I can assist with the logistics of shipping but the cost of shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I can meet you or your car carrier in Reno deliver the vehicle. For a prearranged negotiated fee amicable to both parties before the auction ends, I can drive the vehicle to Sacramento or the San Francisco area or ? Full payment must be received prior to my drive to the preapproved destination.
I am describing and listing this auto to the best of my ability. Please see my other auctions and thank your for looking!

Watch Mark Higgins whomp the Isle of Man TT course in a 2015 WRX STI
Fri, 20 Jun 2014Subaru has made another trip to the infamous Isle of Man TT, bringing along its all-new 2015 Subaru WRX STI. The goal? Best the already impressive time set by rally ace Mark Higgins and the 2011 Impreza WRX STI on the same swirling, high-paced ribbon of tarmac. Of course, you already know how that went.
What we didn't know when the story first broke, though, was that Subaru was monitoring data. Specifically, Higgins' data. He was fitted with a monitor that would record his heart rate, breaths, skin temperature and the g forces he was faced with as he lapped the 37-plus-mile road course. While Higgins and Co. were aiming to best their 2011 time (19:56.7), this year's effort also saw a push to beat the time of the sidecar racers.
You can get a recap of the entire event, with plenty of footage and data from Higgins' lap in the exhilarating video below. Take a look.
Subaru WRX STI Diamond Edition is the most powerful ever offered
Wed, Nov 14 2018The U.S. is no stranger to seeing Subaru create special-edition WRX STI models that are significantly more potent than what it sells here. Just in the last few years, we saw the W208 and the Type RA-R with over 320 horsepower, compared to the 300 in the standard American STI. That latter one particularly stung, since our Type RA just had 310 horsepower. But what we're not accustomed to seeing is Subaru's home market of Japan being cut out of a special-edition STI, which is exactly the case with the 2018 Subaru WRX STI Diamond Edition. This special STI was developed by Subaru South Africa of all places. And it's a serious machine. It makes a whopping 349 horsepower and 342 pound-feet of torque, which means it's the most powerful WRX STI offered by Subaru to the public. The car also features Brembo brakes with 6-piston calipers up front and 2-piston calipers in the back. The car stands out from regular STIs with its florescent yellow body kit. The car was created by Subaru South Africa to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Subaru Technica International, the company we all know as STI. Because of that, the Subaru branch is only offering 30 for sale. Prospective customers can register for a chance to have one of the cars at this official website. Also interesting is that this isn't the only ultra-limited edition STI from Subaru South Africa. The company did the same thing for the fifteenth anniversary, and only sold 15 examples of that car. It had a remarkable pun for the name: Subaru Impreza WRX STI STImulating Edition. Really, we're not making that up. Related Video:
Subaru of Indiana produces its 4 millionth Subaru, but that's not all
Fri, Apr 26 2019Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA), the only Subaru plant outside Japan, just celebrated building its 4 millionth Subaru. On Monday, April 22, at 10:51 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, a silver 2019 Outback rolled off the line to mark the milestone. The facility was the product of a joint venture between Subaru and Isuzu, producing about 67,000 cars per year. Devoted solely to Subarus since 2016, yearly output by the more than 5,700 factory associates hovers around 370,000 cars. Those with a head for arcane minutiae might recall that in 2013 Subaru announced having produced the 4 millionth vehicle at the plant. An Outback also celebrated that milestone, that time a 2014 model in Dark Indigo Blue. Subaru answered our question about the previous highlight by explaining, "in the past, the plant produced Isuzu vehicles (and at one point, even the Honda Passport and Toyota Camry)." The 2013 vehicle tally counted everything rolling out the doors. This week's marker counts just the Subarus. The facility also builds the Ascent, Impreza, and Legacy for the North American market. Things are going so well for the Japanese carmaker that we were also told, "While this week we're celebrating our 4 millionth Subaru vehicle (since beginning production in 1989), in early September we expect to produce our 6 millionth overall vehicle." Seems those seven sisters of the Pleiades, Subaru's constellation logo, are shining at full strength.
