2003 Subaru Legacy L Se Sedan 4-door 2.5l (warranty Included) on 2040-cars
Monument, Colorado, United States
Car being Sold: Thank You for considering my Special Edition Legacy L Sedan with only 73446 miles. This is a great car, has a 5 speed manual transmission, 2.5 liter boxer engine, power moon-roof, AM/FM CD USB Aux Touch Screen Stereo, remote keyless entry, GT alloy wheels, rear seat ski pass-thru, fog lights, cabin air filter, hood deflector and custom pin striping. Runs and drives smooth and solid. Just as it should with such low mileage for a 2003. The car averages 30 miles per gallon on regular fuel.
The Exterior is in very good condition for the year as you can see in the pictures. It has all of the popular options, such as ice cold air, CD, cruise control, power windows, locks, remote mirrors, etc. This is a clean, well kept car. The History: I purchased this car from the original owner, who was rear ended in a traffic accident. The insurance company totaled the car but the good news is that the owner was a Subaru Dealer with their own repair facility. In their spare time, they worked on repairing the car for him and it was re-titled and I now own it. I purchased the car for my daughter in April, 2012 and it had 46,500 miles on it. She has driven it almost exclusively, and although we purchased a 4 year 48,000 it has not had any problems outside of normal oil changes. Warranty: The Subaru has a 4 year, 48,000 mile warranty. 73,446 - 46,500 leaving approximately 27,000 miles and April, 2012 to June 2014 = 22 months of warranty left. The warranty is transferrable for a $ 25.00 fee and would result in 22 months and 27,000 miles of coverage. Attached to this is the PDF of the warranty. Just about everything is covered except "roadside assistance" which was only good for the original owner. The deductible is $ 150.00 per occurrence. Shipping: I would be willing to work with the buyer to have it shipped in the Continental United States. Payment: The buyer must guarantee the purchase with a $ 500.00 PayPal payment. The remainder of the purchase can be in cash or check. If a check is used, please allow from 7 to 10 business days for the check to clear my bank. Questions: Please give me a call at 719.559.2031 |

Subaru updates EyeSight system with color-detecting cameras
Sun, 26 Jan 2014Subaru is giving its EyeSight driver assistance camera system a major upgrade for the 2015 model year with new color cameras, as well as reducing its size by 15 percent over the rather bulky original system.
Subaru locates its EyeSight hardware inside the vehicle at the top of the windshield, which is unlike most other camera-based systems that have their hardware mounted somewhere in the front fascia. The benefit is that these rather expensive components are protected from any detritus that may hit the car, but the original system's size ate up a chunk of the driver's outward view. Thus, the shrinkage should be appreciated by new owners.
The upgraded stereo cameras have a 40-percent longer and wider detection range than the original system's cameras, and their ability to see color allows the system to recognize brake lights at a speed differential of 30 miles per hour, instead of 19 mph before. And as before, EyeSight continues to offer adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and pre-collision breaking that can slow the car automatically if an imminent accident is detected, even bringing the vehicle to a complete stop.
2013 Subaru WRX STI Special Edition
Wed, 05 Jun 2013Despite my best efforts to convince myself otherwise, I think I'm finally getting too old for this car. I remember the days when I would go ga-ga over the winged Subaru WRX STI sedan, my inner boy racer caring only about its turbo thrills and not taking into account things like price, packaging or interior quality/comfort. Even now, as someone who generally appreciates offbeat color choices, I'm having a hard time getting behind the Tangerine Orange paint of this Special Edition tester, a unique version of the STI sedan limited to just 100 cars. (West Coast Editor Michael Harley recently spent time in the Special Edition WRX sedan, which will see a production run of 200 units.)
To give it The Full Halloween, this limited-edition Subie comes with black accents on its mirrors and fender badges, not to mention black alloy wheels and special graphics on the rocker panels. Special Edition cars also come standard with foglights, and there are orange accents found throughout the interior. All in, this flashier Subaru will set you back $34,795 plus $700 for destination, or $500 more than the standard version.
No, $35,000 isn't chump change, and many will argue that there are far better vehicles to be had at that exact same price point. And while my aging brain is beginning to think more toward that side of the rational thought spectrum, there's still a lot about this car that makes my more youthful self endlessly happy.
Subaru boxers offer a different type of flat-four thrum
Wed, 08 Jan 2014If there's one number you'd associate with the Subaru Impreza, surely it'd be Four. Four generations, four doors, four-wheel drive, four cylinders in a boxer configuration. But in this Japanese market promo clip, Subaru has brought in another kind of boxer: the beat boxer.
Bringing in performers Kouteisennin and Time Machine, along with beat boxers Tatsuya and Rinka, the three-minute video clip below reinterprets the spirit of the Impreza through a mix of interpretive dance and human-generated beats that's rather hard to describe and needs to be seen - and heard. So pump up the volume and click on down below to see this clever and funky video for yourself.
