This
is a really nice Suburu Impreza Sedan. I took this car as a partial trade on one of my collector cars. I'll tell you what I was told and what I can see. The car has a clean carfax and I was told no accidents... There is no collision damage that I can see. It has low original miles and was dealer serviced most of its life. It looks, runs, and drives great. It's quite quick and really fun to drive. Great condition all around. I've put a couple hundred miles on it and got it detailed... thats it. Everything works as it should as far as I can tell... electronics, gauges, A/C, heat, cruise control etc. It has a had all its major services and has been well maintained... has recent brakes all around. I'm a car collector with many vehicles... I have no need for this car so am selling it... I believe it will make someone an excellent, reliable, fun daily driver. The body is super straight with no signs of collision damage or rust that I can see... Paint presents nicely with some niks and blemishes. Has a pinpoint chip in the windshield The interior is nice. Seats are comfortable and look great. Panels, and headliner are in nice shape. Cold A/C and all Electronics, heat, and lights all work properly. Carpet has a small wear mark at drivers heel pad. 2.5 motor starts idles and runs fantastic. 5- speed manual trans feels great. Rides beautifully and stops straight and sure. All Wheel Drive is awesome! Overall this is a really straight, honest fun Car in great condition all around. Awesome daily driver. I am a collector with alot of cars and really enjoy driving this one.... Fly in and drive it home. The car is located in Beverly Hills... Inspections are welcome and encouraged... serious buyers can call me at 310 850 8980 but no tire kickers please. I'm open to interesting trades (within ebay guidelines) but no projects or junk please. IMPORTANT: I have tried to describe this vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible but please remember it is a used vehicle. As with any vehicle, (new or used) there may be issues that I have overlooked or am unaware of. Subaru Cross Sport Design Concept is a BRZ with a backpack
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Sports cars are a notoriously tough sell over the long-term. Like convertibles, sales of even the best sports cars tend to be front-loaded in the first couple of years, at which point they drop off like a stone. That may serve to explain this mysterious two-door wagonback concept from Subaru, dubbed Cross Sport Design Concept.
While details aren't exactly thick on the ground, at first blush, this appears to be a higher-riding BRZ with a more utilitarian backpack. Reports suggest the rear-wheel-drive sports coupe's chassis is riding underneath, despite the fact that the Cross Sport is 2.6 inches longer overall. Assuming the chassis itself is basically unmodified and the 2.0-liter, flat, four-cylinder engine is untouched, this could be a very effective way for Subaru to increase its return on investment in the BRZ's underpinnings while generating a very cool (if niche) shooting brake model.
With the exception of a few bits of concept car frosting (wood-lined cargo bay floor, overly-detailed steroscopic camera mounts, slivered side mirrors, etc.), this thing looks production ready, and that's just ducky with us.
Factory Five's Subaru WRX-based 818 kit now on sale [w/video]
Fri, 21 Mar 2014The Subaru WRX has always needed a dash more style, and the do-it-yourself carmakers at Factory Five are looking to accomplish a lot more than that with their new mid-engine, rear-wheel drive 818. The sports car started with a contest in 2011 to create the shape for the company's next vehicle, while sticking within certain limits. A designer named Nouphone Bansasi had his entry chosen, and first cars were completed last year.
The 818 is named after its target weight of 818 kilograms (1,803 pounds), and it's offered in two forms. The S starts at $9,990 and is meant for street use, with two seats and a basic interior. The R model for $10,990 is more track-focused and features a tiny windshield and full roll cage. The company claims that complete cars can be built for around $15,000, after factoring in the donor Subaru. Performance is very brisk, with acceleration to 60 miles per hour in under four seconds, according to Motor Authority.
The kits are meant to be something that even a relative novice could put together. All the builder needs to provide is a 2002-2007 Impreza or WRX. The car donates its turbocharged boxer four-cylinder engine, transmission, axles, brakes, steering and other major components. Factory Five supplies the spaceframe, body, suspension, lights, windshield and some interior trim. It doesn't even need paint, thanks to its gel-coated fiberglass body panels. The company also offers a laundry list of options, including carbon fiber aero components, upgraded suspension parts, improved brakes and more. Kits can be ordered in either left- or right-hand drive.
Buy a Toyota GT86 and your wife will hate you
Wed, 14 Nov 2012Marketing can be a very strange business. Convincing a man or woman (or child, really) that they absolutely cannot live without the latest, greatest new bit of technology oftentimes takes a unique approach. In the "online film promoting the Toyota GT86" you'll see below, created by agency Happiness Brussels, men are reverse-psychologied into thinking a new sports coupe will make them more masculine by getting their loved ones to hate them. Or something like that. We think.
In any case, we suggest you watch the video below to see how much fun men can have with a GT86 - or Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ, presumably - at the expense of their significant others. Fair warning: There's a potential Not Safe For Work moment in the ad: beware of a brief male butt shot about 44 seconds in.
Marketing. Gotta love it. Unless you're married to a man. Or something like that. We think. Whatever, just watch.
