up for sale is my 2008 Subaru wrx wagon. I bought this car about 8 months ago.  I have modified the the wrx. I was trying to get 350whp and ended up blowing a piston ring and lost compression in cylinder two. I have not torn the motor apart but I have had a leak down test and a comp test done. she still runs. just smokes a little bit. and consumes oil. the only thing that the car needs to run right is either a new bottom end or have one built. my car is set up for 400whp. I would like to see this car go to someone that knows there way around a Subaru. I have put about 12k in parts into my Subaru. and all parts will be sold with it. the reason im asking so much for a car that needs a new bottom end or a ring job is because of all the work ive done.  the car was a daily driver/ strip. I ran a 12.4 quarter mile time. in mt that's pretty good for a turboed car considering the high elevation. I tune threw 555motorsports. I have a number of tunes on my accesport witch is a hand held programmer. any questions please contact me. the list below is a list of mods currently on the car. also buyer must provide transportation of the car. the body is straight. I have added a lip kit to the car. local body shop molded it and painted it. the front lower right side has minimal scratches. wheels are powder coated candy blue.

Autoblog Podcast #318:

How new car shortages may impact your buying experience

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

If you want further proof that the auto industry is bouncing back, look no further than the empty lots and forecourts of your local dealership. According to a story by The Wall Street Journal, continued high demand for mainstream cars is overtaxing automakers' ability to produce enough models. Several dealers interviewed for the story are reporting two-week supplies as opposed to the typical two-month allocations.
With sales expected to hit 1.4 million units when August numbers arrive shortly and incentive spending down to its lowest amount since January, these limited supplies are pushing prices even higher. For example, according to the WSJ, the average price of a Ford Fusion is up past $26,000. Unfortunately, it's difficult for manufacturers to increase production quickly. If it invests in its facilities, as many manufacturers have done, it risks wasting cash if growth suddenly slows. At the same time, the momentum gained over the past several years could be short lived if vehicle supplies continue to dwindle. "Manufacturers are in a precarious situation," notes Karl Brauer, a senior director at Kelley Blue Book.
Low interest rates and a wealth of desirable features are also allowing customers to purchase more expensive vehicles while justifying their higher overall price tags, a situation that is compounding supply shortages. Even now, during the annual end-of-summer clearance season, deals on new vehicles are remarkably difficult to come by. According to the report, the Toyota Corolla is in a self-inflicted state of shortage, as Toyota clears out inventory in anticipation of the new 2014 generation arriving in dealers. Ford's supplies should rebound as Fusion production comes on line at its Flat Rock, Michigan factory. The Chevrolet Impala, Honda Odyssey, Civic, and Accord and Subaru Forester are also facing shortages.

2015 Subaru WRX and WRX STI configurator comes online

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

Subaru fans, get your clicking fingers ready - the configurator for both the 2015 WRX and the WRX STI are live on the company's consumer website.
With three trims of the standard WRX and two of the WRX STI available, customers can price out their ideal rally rocket. Aside from choosing a trim level, there's not a whole lot for dreamers to do here. A single interior trim (black) can be paired with a decent spectrum of colors. Each trim level only comes with one optional package, which ranges from $2,000 to $2,500 and includes some combination of navigation, a Harmon/Kardon stereo or push-button start. There are also a number of dealer-installed accessories available, as well.
Hop on over to Subaru's US consumer page, and start building your perfect road-legal rally car.
