Title: Clean and clear I'm the 2nd owner
Interior 9/10 door arm rests have some light chips. Non smoker
Exterior 9/10 very small rock chips on hood maybe 2 of them. Garage kept

In April 2013 I had the car professionally repainted from Obsidian black pearl to Java black pearl which  is a OEM Subaru color that was only produced for a very limited time. Me and the previous owner have taken very well care of it (have maintenance receipts)to show. Short story behind it, previous owner bought the car brand new and had it sent to Harmon motive to have the Harmon Motive Stage 2 kit installed which includes:

HM Mandrel bent 3" turbo back exhaust
HM Hi flow cat DP
Magnaflow muffler
HM Stage 2 Tune (91 and 93 octane maps included)
Cobb accessport
Cobb SF intake
HM sway bars front and rear

It has never been involved in an accident. It runs incredible with the HM tune. Oil changes every 3k miles, and serviced at dealership all regular maintenance. Never had a single problem with it. Pads and rotors replaced around 65k. The previous owner replaced the clutch at 60k miles simply because he got a good deal on a stock clutch; stock wasn't slipping at all. 1 Step colder plugs replaced at 70k along with front and rear diff fluid. Tires have plenty of tread left, over 80%. I'm selling the car because I'm looking to buy a house soon.

The only modifications I have made to the car since the previous owner is the JBP paint, BC racing coilovers, Mirro type 395 wheels 18x10.5, Rally Armor mud flaps, cleared and blacked out headlights and deatschwerk's 65c fuel pump. It also has the stock iPod connector, and homelink compass mirror. I have receipts for almost all the work done to the car including the paint job. Mileage will continue to go up as it is my daily driver. Buyer is responsible for shipping charges, payment can be wired to my bank and they will send out the title to the buyer directly. Please message me with any questions.

On to the goods.

Which is quicker in the standing mile, a Subaru WRX STI or a Porsche Cayman?

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

The 2015 Subaru WRX STI and 2014 Porsche Cayman are both saddled with unfair reputations. The STI with its huge wing and gold wheels has the title of the ultimate boy-racer. On the other hand, Porsche brand snobs look down on he base Cayman as just a wannabe 911. In reality, they are both pretty fantastic performance cars. But what would happen if the two of them lined up at a stoplight, and maybe the guy in the suit in the Cayman started throwing some revs at the young man in the STI? Automobile decided to find out in a recent video pitting the two stereotyped hot rods against each other in a standing-mile drag race.
In terms of raw numbers, they are surprisingly close. Both use flat engines and six-speed manual transmissions here, but the Subaru has more power and torque. However, the Porsche makes up for it with 300 pounds less weight. Neither should have a problem with traction either thanks to the STI's sophisticated all-wheel-drive setup, and the Cayman's mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout.
The comparable specs certainly show themselves in the real world for the race. We're not going to give away the winner here because it's too exciting, but let's just say the finish is very, very close. Scroll down to watch both of them shrug off their stereotypes and show off their real performance.

Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website. 2015 Subaru BRZ tS First Drive [w/video]

Fri, Apr 3 2015

The Subaru BRZ is a brilliant driver's car: lightweight, rear-wheel-drive, tactile, nimble and fluid at speed. In terms of qualities that allow for dazzling point-to-point performance, it lacks only power and intense mechanical grip. In the US, options for tuning the BRZ to amplify its strengths or diminish its weaknesses are mostly found in the aftermarket. In Japan, meanwhile, driving enthusiasts can start with the factory-tuned model you see above: the BRZ tS. Designed and built with the engineering prowess of Subaru Tecnica International, the limited-edition tS is tuned for track competence over and above that of the base model. The intent of the tS wasn't lost on me as I stared over the front fender towards Turn 1 at Japan's Suzuka Circuit. Not just a proper place to test STI's claims of increased handling brilliance for its BRZ tune, but a perfect one. Suzuka is challenging – fast and technical in equal measure – and a playground for sorting out the margin of improvement from the standard that BRZ I know so well. Wait, Why Am I Here? Of course, Subaru didn't invite me and a half-dozen other motoring journalists to Japan for an academic exercise in JDM hotness. We were there at the behest of STI, as a first step in what will undoubtedly be a deliciously drawn-out expansion of the performance brand in North America. STI started life as the motorsports division for Subaru-parent Fuji Heavy Industries. But chances are good that you, like me, first encountered the three-letter-logo as a Cherry Blossom Red punctuation mark at the end of a WRX road or rally car. The world came to know STI through Subaru's 1990s WRC dominance and prominence in the Gran Turismo franchise. But outside of Japan the significance of the initials was known more as the designation of the top-dog Impreza, rather than a motorsport and performance engineering unit. The company is set on changing that and building STI into a performance brand that's as easily recognizable in America as M and AMG are today. That message was delivered a body in the STI Concept car at the New York Auto Show earlier this week, but as I mentioned then, we don't expect Subaru to turn up with a production-ready BRZ STI next year. First STI will deploy its parts catalog to the US, removing the half-hearted Subaru Performance Tuning parts business in the process. Next, according to a vague timeline presented in Japan, Subaru will offer a car like the tS to US customers in approximately 18 months.
