This is my 2004 STI Java Black Pearl. I have Owned the car from day one and have Maintained it to the best of my knowledge. I am a graduate of Wyoming Technical Institute as a ASE certified Automotive Technician. This is not the normal STI that may have been modded to the point where it barley can pass a emission test or is barley driveable. It has always been taken care of with the best parts and attention to cleanliness, NON SOMKER CAR. Never beat down and raced. I have other cars for that. Don't take you chances with a lying dealer or multiple owner high mileage STI. More than likely they have been raced everywhere and beaten down, or have so many aftermarket parts they run like crap. I have done some modifications to the car but it drives like a new car and blows 0.0050 on HC and 0.4181 on CO and breezes through an emission test. I will post pictures taken last week. I have all keys and all printed documentation, manual, window sticker, 2004 Road And Track Car Of the Year Brochure, Sales Brochure,  Ect. Here is a list of parts that are installed or come with the car.

Don't get ripped of by a lying dealer or a high price high mileage beat down joy ride STI. This is the real deal.

ROYAL PURPLE DIFFERENTIAL AND TRANSMISSION FLUID

And for all Honesty sake I want to list the minor problems with the cosmetics, A few years ago I bought a seibon carbon fiber hood, now the clear coat has really faded. It looks great once you wax it but after a few days it will fade again. It can be fixed at a body shop or you can replace it. I sold the original to a friend. There are some scrapes on the front ground effects. there are some scrapes on the passenger rear ground effects but you kinda have to bend over to see it. there are a few paint chips by the gas cap door along the edge where the door opens, there are a few scratches on the rear bumper that will buff out. It would probably be less than 500 bucks to fix it all. The driver seat has a little fray near the door on it. Other than that it still looks and drives like a new car! I would recommend ordering an up graded set of cross drilled brake rotors and pads directly from brembo.

Subaru planning modular platform, seven-seat SUV, plug-in hybrid

Fri, 09 May 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles isn't the only big name in the auto industry releasing details on its future plans. Subaru, and its parent company Fuji Heavy Industries, is aiming to bump its North American sales up from 478,000 to 600,000 by 2020. Now, that seems pretty reasonable, especially in the face of FCA's hugely ambitious goals for Alfa Romeo and Maserati. It's how Subaru will go about increasing the sales, though, that has us intrigued.
A focus on more fuel-efficient, direct-injection engines will complement a new platform, while the company is contemplating expanding capacity at its Indiana factory, which will now have more room since Toyota Camry production will be ending there.
As for that new platform, it's called the Subaru Global Platform. Original, we know. It's a modular deal and will eventually underpin a vast range of future Subies following its debut in 2016. The new platform may also end up underpinning a seven-seat SUV, which would serve as the successor to the Tribeca and debut between 2016 and 2020, according to Automotive News.

Subaru comes out on the right side of history, stands up against Indiana law

Tue, Mar 31 2015

Well, I may as just get it out there straight up and let some percentage of you dear readers take your shots in the comments below: I find Indiana's new "religious freedom" law that opens the door to discrimination against gay people to be reprehensible, along with all the other laws across the country that do the same thing but with different wording. So I was thrilled today when Subaru, which has a plant in Lafayette, IN, came out and said it finds the new law pretty awful too. The statement, issued by Michael McHale, the company's director of corporate communications, says that while the company recognizes that each state gets to decide its own laws, the automaker does "not agree with any legislation that allows for discrimination, or any behavior or act that promotes any form of discrimination. Furthermore, we do not allow discrimination in our own operations, including operations in the state of Indiana." Although McHale told Autoblog Subaru is not considering leaving Indiana, the newly passed legislation has prompted others to say they want to take their business elsewhere. The NCAA said Monday it is taking a look at the law and trying to determine if it will be able to continue holding large sporting events in the state, according to ESPN. In a piece in The Washington Post, Apple's Tim Cook warned that these kinds of laws are being passed in dozens of states across the country and they are bad for business. He spotlighted one proposed law in Texas that would strip pension benefits from clerks who issue marriage licenses to gay people, even if the Supreme Court declares gay marriage legal. "Opposing discrimination takes courage," he wrote. "With the lives and dignity of so many people at stake, it's time for all of us to be courageous."

Should Subaru have a premium brand?

Mon, Oct 8 2018

A lot of people love Subarus, and that audience is only getting bigger. Subaru sold 647,956 vehicles in the U.S. in 2017, up from 615,132 units in 2016; 513,693 in 2012; and 187,699 in 2008. You get the idea. It's a relatively small brand, but a growing one. It's also one of the top brands in terms of customer loyalty, and in terms of conquest sales. From Q2 2015 to Q2 2016, Subaru gained 3.5 customers from other brands for every customer it lost. Recently, Riley, a listener to the Autoblog Podcast, wrote in and asked why Subaru doesn't have a luxury brand. Reading the email, neurons began firing immediately, and a whole bunch of new thoughts rushed in at once, mingling with old data in my brain. Indeed, why doesn't Subaru have its own luxury brand? My initial conclusion was that it just didn't make sense for the brand. It's too small of a company to warrant another brand. The higher-end offerings — namely top-trim Ascents — are probably the ceiling at the moment. If those can sell consistently, then maybe it would be time to toy with luxury-leaning models the way Hyundai did before spinning off Genesis (and perhaps adopt a wait-and-see attitude with regard to that potential competitor.) A luxury brand might dilute the value of Subaru's mainstream offerings, giving it the look of a budget brand, but luxury models within the brand could do the opposite. ... Unless ... What if Subaru's luxury brand was all electrified? Subaru is a company that is genuinely concerned with sustainability and environmental issues. Famously, its factories are zero-landfill facilities, and the company takes part in a multitude of environmental initiatives both on its own and with various partners. This mirrors the values of a large part of Subaru's customer base, who have earned a reputation as outdoor adventurers who love nature — and dogs. It's no surprise to see Subaru overrepresented on the roads of Denver, Portland, Ore., and Burlington, Vt. Subaru doesn't offer any plug-in models yet, but they're in the works. As of now, we can expect them to be based on current nameplates. What if Subaru gave its upcoming Crosstrek PHEV the luxury treatment and a new brand name ("Pleiades" would be the easy grab). Sure, Subaru retains customers really well already, but what happens when people outgrow Subaru? At least they have the option of the Ascent, but I'm interested to see how many Subaru owners move on to luxury brands (I'm in the process of finding those answers).
