I've decided to sell my baby to fund another project. It's a 2004 WRX.   I've had it since February of 2007, bone stock when I bought it. Shell has 111XXX miles, built transmission installed at 78k, built motor installed at 93k. Recently tuned at Snail Performance, Phoenix, AZ.  Made 341hp/293tq on pump gas at 18psi, can easily be over 400 with alcohol injection (or e85) and more boost. Alcohol injection is now installed, wasn't tuned with it.  Technician owned, extremely well cared for. Showroom clean inside and out.  Everything works, including A/C. Can be daily driven.  The big cams take away a lot of the low end torque, so taking off from a stop with the ac on is slower than stock.  No noticeable difference without ac on.  Factory wing and STI style wing included, currently wingless.  Paint was pulled off the trunk lid when the STI wing was removed.  The trunk was repaired and prepped for paint, carbon fiber vinyl wrap installed.  Never got around to getting it painted.  I am a master automotive technician and built most of this car myself.  I can answer any questions you have about it.

ENGINE:
Eagle rods
Cp pistons
Crower S4 cams 280/280
Brian Crower valve springs, retainers
FP Green turbo (49 lb/min version, non HTA)
ACL race bearings
830cc injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump
Open source tuned, UTEC installed for launch control and no-lift-shift
Alcohol injection system installed but was not tuned with it
Front mount inter cooler
Pro drive boost control solenoid
Vta blow off valve
I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of stuff

TRANSMISSION:
5 speed manual with Mfactory 1-4 gear set, built by DS1 Motorsports. Factory 5th for the freeway.
F1 stage 3 six puck clutch

MISC:
2 tone custom paint
Tein S Tech lowering springs
Color matched dash trim
Painted side skirts
Brand new tires
All fluids changed in the last year
Triple gauge pillar with oil pressure, boost, and wideband AFR from innovate LC-1
Led dome lights, license plate lights, front marker lights.
Blue Led cluster illumination and A/C control lights.

Oil pan leaks a bit, doesn't leave a puddle, but will leave a couple drops on the garage floor.  The front bumper has some rock chips from being driven on the freeway.  There are a couple small dings here and there, not many, and not bad.  Normal wear and tear.  Everything else is good, interior is nearly perfect.  Vehicle is for sale locally.  Right reserved to end auction early upon local sale.

2018 Subaru Outback Buying Guide | The original crossover, explained

    Fri, Jun 22 2018

From outside, the 2018 Outback has a clean look that's similar to the rest of the Subaru range. The front and rear have been reshaped and fitted with new headlights and taillamps. A wide range of new wheel designs are also available, along all trim levels. Overall, it's a slightly more upscale design, which is exactly what you'll find when stepping inside. The dashboard and infotainment system have received a substantial refresh and have a more modern look and feel. Higher-quality materials help give the Outback cabin an overdue upgrade, since the previous model was starting to significantly trail its rivals when it came to interior style and amenities. Mechanically, the 2018 Outback carries on as before, with the same four and six-cylinder engine options, both of which are coupled to standard all-wheel drive and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) across all trim levels. Here you'll find all the information needed to make an educated buying decision if you're considering a 2018 Subaru Outback, including safety and reliability ratings, engine specs, horsepower, fuel economy ratings and pricing. We'll also summarize what Autoblog's professional auto reviewers think of the Outback. Is the 2018 Subaru Outback Safe? The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gives the 2018 Subaru Outback an overall crash-test rating of five stars. The Outback scored perfect five-star ratings in front and side impact tests, along with a four-star rating for rollover resistance. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, which provides ratings for new vehicles based on its own comprehensive crash tests, gave the Outback its "Top Safety Pick+" — the highest possible rating. The Outback scored "good" ratings in every crash test. It also earned a good rating for the effectiveness of its headlights, along the ease of use of onboard LATCH anchors for child seats. Ratings may differ for Outbacks from other model years, so be sure to visit the NHTSA and IIHS websites to review ratings on the specific vehicle you're researching. At the time of this writing, the 2018 Outback is not subject to any ongoing recalls, according to the NHTSA database. Is the Outback reliable? J.D. Power most recently reviewed initial quality in the 2016 Outback, before the current model year's significant makeover. At the time, it gave the Outback three out of five possible stars for Overall Quality — an "average" score.

Merecedes-Benz EQS, Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and Subaru Forester Wilderness | Autoblog Podcast #702

    Fri, Oct 29 2021

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor James Riswick. They've been driving some exciting new EVs, like the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and the Mercedes-Benz EQS. They also discuss driving the new Subaru Forester Wilderness, as well as the perfectly agreeable Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid. James compares four big-name off-roaders — the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, Toyota 4Runner and Land Rover Defender — based on their ability to accommodate a big load of luggage. Next they reach into the mailbag for comments on the Genesis GV70, as well as a Spend My Money question about replacing a wrecked Subaru Ascent with another three-row SUV. Subarus, straits, a shipwreck, and the end of the world

    Fri, Feb 26 2016

We've got one more short video glimpse at our Patagonia adventure before the big, final feature video goes live early next month. This time, it's a view of the end of our journey – and the end of the world. Crossing the Straits of Magellan took about two hours on our car ferry, and we saw penguins, orcas, and dolphins, which made the journey way more interesting. From there, we drove through Chile and crossed back into Argentina, stopped by the Desdemona – a 30-year-old shipwreck – and finally spent the night in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world (Antarctica only has bases, not cities). The next morning, our caravan ventured to Tierra del Fuego National Park, and we stood, as a group, at the end of the world – the farthest south any of us will probably venture for the rest of our lives. Have a look at our final, short video above. And again, stay tuned for the full experience film, which we'll bring you (along with hundreds of epic photos) early next month.
