This is a 2007 Subaru Forester XT Limited Turbo Charged SUV sport utility vehicle.  This car was purchased new late 2006 and it is a one owner car.  The exterior is a Silver Metallic Graphite Grey.  Interior is black / dark grey.  Seats are Black Leather.  Very dependable vehicle.

We still have the factory window sticker with pricing and equipment.

New Radiator November 2011, New Battery November 2011, New Tires April 2013 with Alignment, Complete steering rebuild. New steering pump and replacement of rack & pinion and CV ball joints. I have receipt for repairs.

BRAND NEW DUNLOP TIRES APRIL 2013  ON  17 " RIMS

This car is offered in as is condition with no warranty implied.  It is in excellent running condition. I would not anticipate any major mechanical problems.  We can not be responsible if any problems come up with the vehicle but as of now it is operating properly.

This is the Turbo Charged engine which requires premium gasoline and not regular unleaded.  Regular gas can not be used in this Subaru.  Please Google a 2007 Subaru Limited XT to get exact specifications.

The only issue we have ever had was a time the check engine light came on we were told it needed to have the fuel cut valves replaced.  We had a local mechanic replace them and saved on cost.

There are only a few minor issues as follows:
1.  I have never had an accident in this car that was my fault. The Auto Check report states an accident in November 2007. I was at a drive through lane at my bank and the driver in front of me had a trailer on the back of his truck and backed into me by accident when leaving. I think he accidently had it in reverse. It was not a major damage and his insurance paid. I do not remember if the bumper was replaced but the car looks same as new.  Another incident that was not reported was a driver last year backed up in a strip mall parking lot and bumped the rear driver side fender behind the rear wheel and that was repaired and you can not even tell it was damaged. I did not report that to the Insurance as the damage was minimum and repaired like new out of pocket.
2.  There is a split / tear in the leather on the driver seat seam mid back area on side and tear to bottom at seat.  Also the carpet at the floor where the accelerator foot pedal is worn away.  The rest of the interior, seats carpeting is excellent.  I was given an estimate of three hundred dollars for repairing leather seats.  I am sure it could be done cheaper if you shop around.
3.  The heater switch for the heated two front seats will need to be replaced as they do not work, due to I spilled a drink.  We will look at it this week and will update if repaired,  for now it is offered for sale with heated seats not working. The compass in the rear view mirror no longer lights up.
4. The picture shows headlight has some slight moisture. NOT from flood damage or driving in high water.   The rear cover fell off the back .  We will have that replaced.  Lights are in working order.  This has to be mentioned. Once back headlamp cover is replaced should be fine.

5. The engine timing belt has been replaced new as of July 2013.  The water pump, pulleys and sprocket were also replaced.

The auto check vehicle summary also shows a lein.  We do owe a very small amount and clear title will be available with 48 hour notice to our credit union to have it available at the time of pay off.  The buyer would need to meet there to pay and obtain title at the office location in Northwest area of Houston Texas. Unless other arrangements are made.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TIRES HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED YET IN THE PHOTOS OF THE CAR IN THE YARD.  THE TIRES ARE BRAND NEW.  MORE UPDATED PHOTOS TO FOLLOW.

The refreshed 2018 Subaru WRX starts at $27,855

Thu, Apr 20 2017

Subaru has always staggered the release of new versions of the WRX and STI performance twins from that of the more pedestrian Imprezas. While the latter just received a ground-up redesign for 2017, the once and future kings of all-wheel-drive performance sedans make do with some new options and massaged over styling. Pricing for the new cars, which go on sale sometime in the next few months, has finally been announced. Pricing for the pair is on the high-side of the competition. The 2018 Subaru WRX starts at $27,855. That nets you a 2.0-liter turbocharged boxer four-cylinder making 268 horsepower, a six-speed manual, and Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel drive with torque vectoring. For comparison, the Ford Focus ST starts at $25,650 while the Volkswagen GTI starts at $26,415. Pricing for the new Honda Civic Si hasn't been announced, but expect it to be somewhere in the mid $20,000 range. Stepping up to the STI will set you back at least $36,955, though you get a more powerful 305-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer four and a more advanced version of Subaru's all-wheel-drive system. Plus, you get the big rear wing, and that's worth it's weight in Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution owner tears. The far more powerful Ford Focus RS meets the STI dollar for dollar at $36,955 while the Volkswagen Golf R retails for an eye-watering $40,195. Like the Civic Si, pricing for the Civic Type R has yet to be revealed. Both the WRX and STI get updated styling on the front bumper, with larger grilles and new black trim. Additionally, the $32,455 WRX Limited and all STI models feature new LED headlights. The STI also gets new 19-inch wheels and upgraded Brembo brakes. The WRX Premium has an optional $2,050 performance pack that adds Recaro seats with an 8-way power driver's seat, red-painted brake calipers with Jurid brake pads, and deletes the moonroof to reduce weight. Other changes include the latest version of Subaru's Starlink infotainment system, a larger infotainment screen, new EyeSight driver assist features (only on CVT-equipped WRX models), upgraded sound deadening, and upgraded interior materials. Both models receive new roof rack mounting brackets. Look for the 2018 Subaru WRX and 2018 Subaru STI to hit showrooms in the next few months. Related Video:

2015 Subaru WRX teased ahead of LA debut

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

After bringing a seriously hot concept to the New York Auto Show earlier this year, Subaru will finally reveal the production 2015 WRX at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. And while we've seen spy shots of the hotter Impreza (including the winged STI variant), Subaru has now released this teaser image, showing the bulging, scooped 'Rex that's nearly ready for its world debut.
What we can see is a car that's clearly been toned down from the conceptual version - we aren't surprised, really. But it appears that the added aggressiveness over the standard Impreza will make for a pretty hot-looking little sedan. Of course, WRX models have never exactly been pretty cars, and we don't expect this one to be, either. No matter - assuming this car follows in the footsteps of WRXes past, it should still be plenty good.
Subaru hasn't released any details about the WRX as of this writing, but again, we don't expect it to stray too much from the formula we know. Expect a turbocharged boxer engine underhood, all-wheel drive, and - hopefully - a manual transmission. Rumor has it the WRX and STI will lose their hatchback variants and go sedan-only for the 2015 model year, but we'll have to wait until the official LA debut to know that for certain. Stay tuned.

Weekly Recap: Mazda's rotary revival ignites Tokyo Motor Show

Sat, Oct 31 2015

Forty-eight years ago Mazda pioneered rotary engines in the Cosmo Sport. Mazda then honed the technology, won with it on the racetrack, and made it one of its signature features. If you're an enthusiast, rotary was a reason you like Mazda. It's a great part of the company's past. But until this week, that's exactly what we thought it was. History. That all changed with the reveal of the RX-Vision concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, which reignited the passions of the Mazda faithful. Suddenly, rotary was no longer a relic. The rotary concept shown in Japan was a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car wrapped in the company's latest Kodo design language. It's powered by a Skyactiv-R unit (R for rotary), though specs were not disclosed. Mass production is "currently on hold," Mazda said, maintaining it never stopped development of rotary technology, even after the demise of the RX-8. Beyond that, we know nothing, other than the optimistic statement Mazda offered that: the "RX-Vision represents a vision of the future that Mazda hopes to one day make into reality." Put simply: we agree. OTHER NEWS & NOTES: Subaru previews next-gen Impreza While the Mazda concept was the headliner from Tokyo, Subaru's Impreza design study also stood out. The five-door concept is a signpost for the look of next-generation Impreza. It blends sportiness with functionality, and it's wrapped in a striking shade of 'high-luminance silver.' The fenders are flared to signal Subaru's all-wheel-drive capability, and the front has futuristic headlights that look like something from an Audi E-Tron concept. While most of this will be toned down in production, the concept suggests an elevated style for the Impreza, which is due as a 2017 model. Porsche adds potent GTS model to 2017 Macan line Porsche is giving the Macan crossover the GTS treatment, which will start at $68,195 when it goes on sale in March. GTS translates to more power, a sportier suspension, and interior and exterior design cues that sharpen the looks and reflexes of one of the most athletic SUVs on the market. Porsche recalibrated the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 from the Macan S to make 360 hp and 369 lb-ft, (up from 340 hp and 339 lb-ft in the S). It teams with a seven-speed PDK gearbox and all-wheel drive. An air suspension is standard. The body features a slew of black accents, and the standard 20-inch RS Spyder wheels are done up in a shade of satin black. The cabin gets leather, Alcantara, and GTS logos.
